Worst customer service I've had in my 44 years of living. I have been trying to get my refund for a month. I've called customer service atleast 8 times within a month and gotten nowhere. They just act like they can't see the notes the last agent i talked with and send me through the same steps from day 1. It's been very frustrating. The item I want have sold out now. Plus I missed all the Black Friday deal. I am very disappointed in belk. I know my money doesn't matter them but I work hard for mine . I am scared to shop with belk now knowing it can take a months to get a refund back. I'm lost for words. Hope my issue gets solved soon because it's been a nightmare read more

My family and I were in Belk at the Avenue shopping center in Murfreesboro yesterday. We were having an awesome experience until time to check out. Items we were purchasing were evidently tagged wrong and we were treated terribly when we questioned the cashier we finally found in the perfume/jewelry counter. We were trying to rethink our purchase when said cashier jerked a box of shoes out of my daughter's hand. She then proceeded to tell us the signage in the store was mistaken and didn't qualify for the coupon. We were by no means rude just not sure what did and did not qualify at this point. After paying for what we decided on the sales rep continued to berrate us for questioning the prices of items. In the past month I have spent $500 at this particular location. I will never be back after this episode. read more

I went to 5 different registers trying to make a purchase. Nobody is staffed at any of them. I finally found a person who works there, and instead of assisting me, she pointed me to the only open register with a line 12 people deep. Yikes. read more

This place reminds me of a semi broke down Dillard's. Lots of stuff overpriced and poor quality. The upstairs section seems to always be a mess. They have a very small babies section with limited brands. read more

I am a Belk shopper and use a Belk Credit Card. The card gives you points that convert to rewards, which are $10 vouchers for future items in the store. Here is the problem and no one will do anything about it. If you go online and order something and you get verification the complete order is ready for pickup, you need to race to the store and immediately pick it up. I had to leave the area and could not pick up the order for 5 days. On day 3, I received notice the order was cancelled and they would only refund the actual money I paid minus the rewards. The rewards ($10) have expired now and therefore due to Belk Murfreesboro untimely cancelling my order, I have lost the use of those rewards. I have called the Corporate Customer Service and they will put the rewards back on your account to just have them deleted again after you make another online purchase. So this is a new concept by Belk --- How to steal from your customer. I completed my order on Saturday, July 23 to have it deleted on Tuesday, July 26. So much for this store, the Belk Credit card reward program, online ordering process, and integrity. read more

Belk has really gone down hill. The store was dirty, vast empty spaces void of merchandise, this store needs a major refurbishment, or somebody to end the suffering! Upstairs the clearance racks were beyond disorganized and only a few items on each rack. The cosmetics department was almost non-existent and jewelry was just as bad. The home store was in shambles. Belk was a great store when it opened, but in the last few years it resembles a discount store still trying to charge premium prices. I don't know that I would be willing to back into the store if that is the best that they can do. read more

This place is dead. I'm not even sure how it's still open. I'll give it a 2 star for being clean, but nobody was at any of the counters and clothing seems limited to just a few brands. Went in to buy my husband some business casual shirts and our only options were Nautica, Polo, Ralph Lauren and Champion. Walked in and practically walked right out. There are better places to spend your money. Belk is definitely on its way out. read more

This is a great place to go for nice clothes without breaking the bank. My wife got the heads up a few years back that they run ridiculous promotions for Belk cardholders. When I say ridiculous, I mean 70, 80 and even 90 percent off marked prices! There are a lot of name brands such as Ralph Lauren and Nautica, so if you're a slave to fashion, you can grab it here for a song! Belk is really good about stacking coupons, so that's how you get crazy deals. The store is always clean and the sales associates are always very helpful. On the few occasions that we've needed to return something, there's never been a hassle. Really the only thing that keeps me from going give stars is that they always have the temperature in the store somewhere in between "Backdraft" and "7th level of Hades". read more

Went shopping there, Saw some pillows there in a bin. There was a tag on the bin that said the regular price was 14 dollars and there was 60 percent off with a coupon, should have been around five dollars. When I went to pay, it came up as 44 dollars discounted to 18. Asked cashier about it and showed her the bin where they were, There was no other price tag on the bin and the description on the price tag matched exactly. She called over a manager and she said sorry but she couldnt do anything about it. I asked if they would honor the posted price, she smirked and said no, will never shop there again read more

Hubby had neglected to pack enough clothing for our trip. Off to the mall... We had never heard of "Belk" before, but decided it was a good bet. We rode the escalator to the second floor and saw a colorful wonderland of men's clothing. Guys are allowed to wear colors these days! Coral and teal and all sorts of pretty shades greeted our eyes. A young man helped us hunt down a pair of pants, I found a polo in a stunning shade of aqua, and we grabbed a package of undershirts. Buy two get one free? OK, let's grab another pack. The Clinique ladies at this Belk were very friendly and helpful . They assisted me with finding a product I was comfortable with. They were very patient and not pushy , they actually wanted to help me find what I needed instead forcing a bunch of other unnecessary products onto me. Will definitely be back in the future. Their sizes run way too large and they should make it known on their web site before placing an order. Purchased $149 worth of merchandise. Was only able to keep one pair of sandals. The cost to return the rest to TN was $33! Contacted Belk Customer Service to let them know I was not happy about this and their response was "Well that's the way it goes. Happy fashioning." WRONG! I won't be buying anything from Belk again. read more

I have been in this store maybe six times in the past two years and the people do not always have the most happy and friendly faces. The lady at the este laurder Counter is always really nice and if she is not too busy will say hello and greet you. However if she does not see you or is busy then you will have to wait a while to be noticed. I have had the good and bad here. The products are much like other large department stores so it comes down to the people. And for me, the jury is still out on this one. read more

Unbelievable the way this store is run . In the approximately ten times that I have been to this store in the past three years I don't remember a single time that anyone ever asked if they could help me .Customers roam about the shoe dept. and menswear trying to hunt down an associate to check them out . The shoe dept. always looks like a rummage sale boxes scattered about shoes out of place , not in their boxes . I asked a manager about this one day, after my friend and a few other people who had been waiting more than a half hour for help in the shoe dept. finally gave up and left , his response was "That's just the way it is " . Similar comments from customer service and other managers who seem to care less makes me wonder how this store remains open . The merchandise selection is nice , but having workers ignore you , having to go to other depts. to look for someone to check out your purchase ? Perhaps if you would hire people who wanted to work and service customers instead of complain about not getting enough hours or pay you might be more successful . I was told by a manager that they couldn't find more experienced workers to staff the store .I know plenty of older individuals who have applied there all with considerable retail experience and as far as I know none were ever contacted by the store's personnel dept. In a time when more and more brick and mortar stores are losing out to on line shopping you would expect better . read more
