I asked why not the front lady at first, she told me she is the one who gave me massage, she answered "Busy". So the lady prepared the hot water bath for foot massage, I thought I am not gonna dump my foot to that hot water for 1/2 hour, not good, the pores will open, & the water too hot actually, I told her too hot, but she act like not hearing & left. So I waited about 25 minutes, a guy therapist come, I told him I don't want male therapist. 5 minutes later, the lady come, she said the man is good. I told her "Why at beginning front desk lady said she'll the one who will give me massage, then now male therapist, I told her no male therapist, & she didn't tell me I have to wait" She said because "busy. She said if I want to wait for her, another 15 minutes. I finally left, I don't want to wait another 15 minutes after 1/2 hour wait. IF they're busy why not from beginning to tell me if I have to come back later or call first for an appointment. Trigger warning:‼ I was a massage student at National Holistic Institute and I was going through a lot of stress trying to attend school while working 3 jobs, and while dealing with weird men. It was winter break and all I wanted was a break and reset by getting a massage. I lived on Geary and 3rd Avenue at the time and wanted to find a massage parlor that was walking distance. This was the time when the me too movement was going on, but I was a mindful person to not assume that all men are perverts. I wanted to be that person who doesn't accuse every one of something that is not true...but little did I know I was wrong. When the lady at the front desk asked me if I cared to have a male or female, I said I just wanted someone strong. I knew they would send me a male and I was going to be fine with it, as shared above. After I laid down on the table ready, feeling excited to take note and get that reset that I needed, something just felt off the minute that the man walked in to a point I couldn't look him in the eye. Then I just brushed it off thinking it was probrably a crazy thought. Little did I knew that it was my own intuition. As I was getting a massage, I noticed that he lifted me high enough where he can see my breast. Again, giving the benefit of a doubt I excused him thinking it was an accident and how I didnt want to put male in an uncomfortable situation because of the me too movement that's been going on. Suddenly, I felt his hand sliding through my breast and this is when my body stress level went on over drive where I just froze. He literally rubbed his hands on both my breast and it was the most disgusting feeling ever, I felt helpless, shocked and confused that my body went into freeze mode where I couldn't control at the moment. It was a protective mechanism that I had no clue about because who would go to a massage place thinking I need to make sure this man don't touch me. Really? Good business are supposed to help you relax, not stress you out! And I was beyond depressed after that! This isn't the end of the story yet. Now it's time to turn my body around to face up and he had the blanket way up high exposing me to turn around. Again, under stress and feeling in danger I obeyed him. And it just got worse where he massaged my thighs, no blanket on..probrably jacking off while massaging me. He got closer and closer to my clit and finanlized my thigh massage with a little slide across my clit. This was the longest massage of my life! It wasn't pleasant and usually I never wanted a massage session to end but this one felt like eternity. After it was finally over, he walked up to my face and whispered "you are very beautiful" and then it was over. As soon as he left, I got my clothes on really quick, walked to the front desk and lied that it was good and even tipped him $10. The minute that I walked out that door, I felt extremely drained and off. Something didnt feel right. He created an unethical strategy that put me in a trance where I was left confused and extremely delayed because of stress, while doing things I didnt want to do just because I felt defenseless. I was so confused that I called a friend about her male massage therapist to see if this was normal. She was so shocked about it and validated what I was feeling and immediately I cried And saw that friend. She went to the store with me to talk to the lady at the front desk and she saw me in tears and she was also shocked and said she will fire him right in front of me. She gave me my money back and I left. I saw another lady walking in and told her that I was just sexually assaulted and to not go in. I wasn't satisfied with the man's punishment being just getting fired. I posted on facebook and people were suggesting me to report it to the police. The police called me back and scheduled an interview and I told him about everything. Some men even had like a smirk on his face because it seemed silly to them, just to add more to my stress and humiliation. Finally the police came to my door to give me an update to see if he will get punished, but instead they questioned me why I didnt speak up. Basically ignoring the fact that this man had just exposed me, touched my private parts and called me beautiful. I just had enough with creepy men in power getting away with shady things because of lack of evidence and not speaking up. Are you kidding me? You can take a wild guess that I never finished my massage school and owe $3000 that is going to collection. If you have read my post this far, first of all I want to say that it means a lot to feel seen. Second, please tell everyone and expose this business. They do not deserve to stay open. Third, please pray for justice. I spent 7 years healing, long nights of crying, unemployed because of trauma. Here comes Karma
