We all ate our ice cream cones while sitting at picnic tables on the side of the building. We will definitely stop here again when we are back in the area!!

The one review is very untypical of Rockland Golf Club (except for the condition of the greens,…read morewhich are usually excellent). It is a good value, in decent shape, and you can play it in 3 hour range (I play there all the time, as a member, and there are not a lot of "jerks" that won't let you through - by the way, ever think about asking the "jerks" if you could play through or telling the club pro when you took the turn to hole #10?)

The family-run business also has an apothecary and herbal salves and some soaps and other products like honey and jelly which according to the nice daughter tending the store her mother makes everything by hand. Additionally, all throughout the golf course are the many different plants used to make all the products in the shop. They are also edible. The golf course has a lot to be desired; is kind of run down and had better days. But, everyone plays the same course and it's easy enough to get through the 18 holes. My kid and I got a unimpressive 59 and my wife had a 60. We all got a hole-in-one on at least one hole, though! The facility also has a large 30+ chicken and duck coop which you can feed, and a couple of very friendly dogs. Golf was only $15 for the three of us! The honey and jam I purchased were also reasonably priced along with the rest of the shop. The daughter running the shop is off to college this fall, so best of luck to her. Recommended for some fun times in Maine!
