This is more my speed than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I'm a glam country girl and will forever be. Flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables, farm fresh meats, dairy, bakery items, etc, etc, etc. High quality, always fresh. Store is always clean. They just did an expansion of the store making more space for product placement & customers to roam. I love the open market feel. Staff...always friendly professional. I could have a bad day and coming here instantly cheers me up. Prices... health costs money but copays cost more. You choose. Parking... decent. The turnover is quick and I've never had to wait to park. People are usually in & out. Issues... the only herbs they sell is cilantro. I'm ok with that (mostly). But I really wish they had mint & basil. They are closed during winter. Makes sense but... Those are the longest 4 months for me.

I love getting my seasonal produce from there because it is so fresh and flavorful. They also have locally sourced baked goods, jams, spices, and candies. The plant selection is also unreal. They have about 8 greenhouses all filled with different plants. Feels like walking through a local garden rather than a nursery. A plus is also that they usually have a food truck on the weekends. The day I went was Mikes Gelato.

In addition to their seafood selection, their produce section is one of my favorites. Well spread out, nothing is wilting or molded, and they push for customers to bring their own bags! Surprisingly, at times they have completely random and "exotic" veggies and fruits that you may not find elsewhere. Try them out! There is an amazing sushi restaurant next door, a liquor store and an ice cream stop which makes running errands sweeter =)

The line was 10 people long for 1 register. I watched Debra come out and it looked like she might open a register. I sent my son over to ask if she was opening a lane. She ignored him the first two times and then said no the third time he asked. (He's a shy, quiet 8yo). She then pulled the two people directly in front of us over to her new line and then announced anyone with less than 15 items could line up in order behind the people she had pulled over. I listened to her call the people ahead of us sweetie & darling. But when we finally got in line it was all very glum business. Once I got my receipt I pointed out to her I had watched her lie to my son. She acted like she didn't know and I quietly reminded her he had asked if she was opening a lane and she told him no and then literally opened the lane 30 seconds later. She yelled at us a few times as we exited the store telling us she would go get her manager. A kind lady behind us was appalled at how we'd been treated. Does Debra hate children? What did we do to deserve that?

Class Produce is a distributor that carries organic as well as conventional produce. I am considered a "cash customer" (even though I can pay by Visa or MasterCard) since I purchase as an individual. Twice a week, I receive a spreadsheet by e-mail of current stock items and prices. Pick-up is Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.--12:00 noon, and the order must be received by the close of business a day ahead of time. Some pointers: -most deliveries come in overnight on Sunday, so the best day for pick-up is Monday. -check your produce on-site or as soon as you get home. Class will not issue a credit for items 24 hours after pick-up. I've had 3 small issues (fruit that wasn't optimal) since I started ordering from here, and Class was quick in resolving the situation, but the first time that I called, I did not know that I had a 24-hour window. -the warehouse is in Jessup right next to a new car storage lot, and it can seem a little bit confusing to navigate your first time there. Back your vehicle into one of the loading bays to the right of the entrance (the bays here start at #16, I believe), and go into the office (you need to be buzzed in) to verify your order and pay. -a weekly CSA (conventional and organic) is available for a good price, but I haven't taken advantage of this yet. The staff at Class has been professional and friendly--I like working with the front office employees as well as the warehouse guys. Loading assistance is available if you need it. Am I saving money? Yes! For example, the first pomegranates of the season just arrived last week. I paid $55 for a case of 36 (about $1.52 each). Organic pomegranates at WF are $2.99 each. Most everything is offered by the case, but there are a few items that come pre-packaged (e.g. dozen-counts of avocados, apples and pears). I wish that another family would share in ordering with us, so that I could buy more vegetables, but we definitely go through the fruit. When I order a case of organic bananas ($24 for 40 lbs), we'll let some ripen and freeze the rest for smoothies. Over the summer, the peaches and berries were a hit. In all, I highly recommend this place if you have a family of 5 or more (or want to share a produce haul with a friend). The fact that I can pick up organic produce from a distributor before it sits on a grocery shelf for who knows how long is wonderful. If you try it out, let me know what you think!

Got it Here it is with no emojis at all, same great energy:…read more --- I had such a great experience at Trader Joe's Elkridge today. I interacted with at least five different staff members, and every single one of them was friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. They helped me find everything on my list without hesitation and made the whole shopping experience easy and pleasant. At one point, we thought an item was out of stock--but just as I was about to check out, one of the associates caught me and let me know they had found it. That extra effort was the touchdown icing on the cake. This location really embodies what great customer service looks like. Well done, Elkridge Trader Joe's--you've earned a loyal customer!

My experience at Trader Joe's Columbia, MD on 2/21/2026 --…read moreright before the snowstorm -- was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. I attempted to return a few items, and the store manager processed the return in a way that felt unnecessarily confrontational and humiliating, especially in a very crowded store. I was questioned in a manner that singled me out, even though Trader Joe's is known for accepting returns if customers are not satisfied with a product. What made this more upsetting is that I have personally witnessed other customers return items without being questioned at all. I won't mention who. It appears that management selectively decides who to scrutinize, which feels unfair and inconsistent. I contacted corporate to address the situation, and while the store lead did follow up, there was no real accountability -- only explanations and excuses for the manager's behavior. No acknowledgment of how inappropriate the public interaction was. Additionally, some items sold in the store are marketed in a way that seems healthy but contain ingredients that are far from it, which adds to my growing concern as a customer. I expect professionalism, consistency, and respect -- especially from management. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. My experience at Trader Joe's on 2/21/2026, just before the snowstorm, was deeply disappointing and humiliating. I attempted to return a few items and was questioned by the store manager in a way that felt confrontational and unnecessary, especially in a very crowded store. The interaction felt public and embarrassing. What concerns me most is that I have observed other customers return items without being subjected to the same level of questioning. As a Black/African American customer, the inconsistency in how returns are handled raises serious concerns for me about fairness and equal treatment. I contacted corporate, and although the store lead followed up, there was no accountability -- only explanations. There was no acknowledgment of how inappropriate it was to address a customer in that manner in front of others. All customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and consistency. I hope this location takes steps to ensure equitable treatment for everyone. Please " do better for your retention customers "
