We leased a 2024 outback onyx in March 2024. I knew what features and specifications I wanted. I had shopped on the internet to get the lowest pricing for the same vehicle at other dealers. I dealt with Nick over the phone for just ten minutes. I went in the next day. He was able to give me the best deal of all other dealers. I have purchased probably 10 cars in my life and this was the best experience by far. Nick was straightforward, honest, responsive and no non sense. They are charging $2.5k on top of all purchases due to inventory shortage. Also you have to pre-purchase the car before you even see it or drive it.... Yes there is a shortage now days but other dealers only require a deposit and it is refundable. Shop somewhere else other than Jones Bel Air. read more

during the sale they tell you you get free car washes all the time, etc. i've taken my car in for service there 1000 times and they never vacuum it wash it and are constantly saying the customer car wash is broken. Yes they have service advisors that wanna walk you to your car and act like your best friend. I'd rather than follow through on their promises with car washing and other services that Jones touts at the point-of-sale. I bought my 2013 Subaru here 4 years ago. I had a wonderful buying experience. It did take most of the day but the waiting room has a nice setup and the staff are very friendly. I got my wife to buy her car 3 years ago. She loves it. We do all our maintenance at this location even though the commute is far. The people make it worthwhile. We even met one of the owners and his cute dog. They came by and inquired how we were doing. Such a nice man. I highly recommend buying a car from this location. You won't be disappointed. read more

I drive for my job and Jones has taking care of my Subarus for 7 years and 195,000 miles now. My 2016 Legacy has 135K miles, it runs and looks like new. I just had the Dr. Jones work done after letting almost 5 years of door dings accumulate and it looks even better now. Almost perfect. One pointy little dent (a rock from lawnmower maybe) was pretty deep and they minimized that real well. read more

I got an email from the Sales Manager Anthony Barkas at jones junction suburu wanting me to upgrade my 2019 forester. I replied back to him that i purchased two foresters from them 2 years ago. I got ahold of the salesman named John Burns and he gave me a price over the phone which i thought was high. I called auto nation in hunt valley and their manager gave me a much better price. I called John at jones junction and he said he would match that price. This is the same thing that was done 2 years ago. I told him that I would be in the store in 3 days. He said great. I came in and he said he would have to look for the forester in another store or state. I said no. He said i could order a new one from the factory which was great. He came back with a price of $1,500 higher than the agreed upon price. I asked him why and he said that I missed the sales incentives for the month. He also told me that the company doesn't make any money selling cars that they make money on service. like the time i took my forester in for an oil change (free) and tire rotation (maybe $30) I got home and noticed the tires were NOT rotated and called the store and the service advisor checked with the mechanic and he said he forgot. I asked for my money back and was told NO that I would have to come back. I guess they make money on services not provided but charged for. I left the dealership and called the GM and he told me that I was supposed to come in 3 days earlier so their end of the month sales figures were good. He said he told the John Burns this. No one told me that. Mr Barkas yelled at me over the phone and was extremely rude to me a customer who purchased 2 foresters from Jones Junction 2 years ago. I called auto nation hunt valley and was told I can come in and order what I want for the agreed upon price and I said ok and will be there in a few days. Hunt valley called me 2 days later and told me the exact forester is "in transit" . I went in and signed the papers and he even gave me a couple of freebees. John at jones junction said to me as I was getting ready to leave said "no one will treat you the way jones junction will" I said I hope not. My daughter got the same email 2 weeks later and laughed. My daughter also went to Auto nation in Hunt Valley. Do yourself a favor and check out Hunt valley suburu. Jones junction lost out on 2 foresters. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

I purchased a vehicle on December 30th, 2021 from this location. We have Permanent Disabled Veteran tags from our previous vehicle, which we sold prior to coming to this location and purchasing our new vehicle. At the time of purchase, the individual processing everything (Mary I believe) asked about our tags and asked if we cancelled our previous vehicle insurance. We advised her that we did cancel the sold vehicle's insurance and she said that it would be fine and issued us a 60-day Temporary Registration Permit (not temporary tags) to be used in conjunction with our previous tags. After about 30 days we received a violation in the mail from the Maryland Vehicle Administration stating we did not have insurance on our previous vehicle, which was sold. We contacted this Subaru in reference to the issue and they researched it and said that it should be fine and to disregard the violation because our tag transfer hadn't gone through yet. About a week later we received mail from this Subaru with a check for the registration amount stating the MVA would not process our transfer because we had an active violation on our registration. Now our tags that were supposed to be transferred are suspended and we don't have any temporary tags to drive our newly purchased vehicle. All of this because we should have been issued temporary tags at the time of purchase and turned in our previous tags due to since our insurance on our previous vehicle being cancelled. Or we should have been advised to maintain insurance on our sold vehicle until after the tag transfer was completed, neither of which happened. I called on today's date and spoke with April who said there was nothing she could do after asking if we received the mail containing the check for our registration. I explained to her why we had to violation (their error) and that they told us it wouldn't be an issue. I highly recommend you avoid this dealership and any other Jones dealership for that matter as they do not care about you after you have made your purchase. read more

I participate in AARP's car-buying service, administered by TrueCar. I was searching for a 2021 Crosstrek, and TrueCar emailed me several "member price" offers. Unfortunately, I drove all the way to Bel Air (45 minutes) and the dealer wouldn't honor the prices in the offer. This amounts to bait-and-switch, and I will be complaining to TrueCar, AARP, the Better Business Bureau, and the MD Attorney General's Office. read more

Let me start by saying I do not usually write reviews but with the service issues I had with this dealer was really unacceptable. It happened to me a few times and I know it was my mistake going back hoping that things will be better from the last time, but I was wrong. The first time I went there was for a check engine light. That was around 5 pm when they scheduled me and after waiting for around 2 hours with my kids, they said cannot accommodate me anymore because the Tech already left for the day. I went there for nothing. So, I was told to just drop off the car early the following day so I could pick it up and was assured the car will be ready by 12. They gave me a ride home and waited. It's already 2 pm and still, no call from them. I decided to call and found out that my car hasn't been checked yet. No updates from them or whatever. Now, they said the car will be ready by 6 for pick up. I called before going there around 6 because its a 40 min drive from my place and guess what? My car wasn't checked yet and needs to stay for another night. I am already frustrated with their lack of communication. When I went back the following day, the car wasn't fixed because they were not sure where the problem was. Out of my frustration, I just took my keys and left. I have not learned my lesson yet so I came back this week for a simple wheel alignment. I had no choice because they were the only one that has an available schedule. The attendant accidentally snapped my transmission cable when parking my car because after rolling the car on a sloped on a neutral gear, he put it on first gear. He wasn't aware that first gear on a stick shift cars are to be used on a complete stop only, Subaru cars are known for that. They called the service manager and I was told that the car needs to stay for the night again since no one is there to fix the problem. Take note, the manager knows that my car has modifications on and still, they accepted it for an alignment. The following day came, I called early in the morning to inform the manager about adjusting the height of the car before aligning it and he said no problem. I got a call from him after an hour saying that they cannot align the car due to the aftermarket parts. I am so frustrated with their lack of communication, they really really need to work on that. They know about the aftermarket parts the day before and yet, they wasted my time again. I know some of you will agree or disagree with my review but I just want to voice out what happened because of my frustration and wasted time. January 30, 2021 We were in transit from Arlington VA to NYC on Saturday when the check engine oil light illuminated near Perryville, Maryland. We promptly pulled into the nearest service station to review the situation, check the engine oil level which showed about a quart low only after about 1600 miles since the previous oil change. We added about one quart of oil, re checked the oil level ( engine oil light out) and we promptly made contact with the Bel Air Subaru Service team who advised us to bring our 2013 Subaru Outback in to their shop directly. 27 miles later we arrived at Bel Air Subaru any they made accommodations to assit us in the midst of what looked to be a typical busy busy day at the Subaru service department. Sometime later, about an hour or so, the Subaru service team let us know that all was well, the vehicle was safe to drive and they set us on our way to continue our travels to NYC to celebrate our son's birthday. We sincerely appreciate Bel Air's professionalism and kindness to assist us in a time of need and leave us with the peace of mind that all was well and safe to continue planned travels, was simply amazing. I went to Jones Subaru to look at a used 2015 forester, it was nice but had a lot of scratches in the paint and pretty bad scuff on the front bumper where someone misjudged a turn. The other problem I had with it was the outer edge of the tires were thin. Guess someone lived on a curvy road or took corners fast. Those problems aside we liked the forester and wanted to buy. But John Burns said the price is what it's listed for. No compromise on price at all. I asked for a $700.00 break on their out the door price and he said no. I was looking for a new vehicle and the car that they had listed on their site was something I wanted. I called in to see if I could get a price of the vehicle. The customer service named Kathleen Trussell indicated that it was best to come to the dealership to work out the price since it was the best way for the dealer to know that I was serious about buying the car. Since the car they listed had all the options I wanted, I thought I would save myself the trouble looking at multiple dealerships. She even made an appointment for me to come visit and added me on their "VIP" list so that once I was there, I would be assisted immediately without waiting. I live about 2.5 hours away from the dealership. She assured me that the car will be placed on hold for me when I got there. I had her check to make sure that the vehicle was still on their lot over the phone so I would not waste my time driving for something that is no longer there. What do you think happened? The car wasn't there, it was sold. They wanted to try to pull other vehicles from other dealerships. Why should I bother dealing with that when I could go directly to them instead? Basically 5 hours wasted driving to and from that dealer. I would suggest other customers to find another dealership to work with. read more

I went here searching for a Subaru Impreza, which they claimed to not have in stock but the saleswoman assured me that her managers said they could offer the same price on another model. So one test drive later, when it came time to sit down and talk numbers she said she "misspoke" and what she had said before no longer held--"misspoke" being what they think stupid people won't hear as an outright "lie." She tried the same thing again and even asked if we could meet the manager. Literally, every trick in the book from lies, upsetting, deceit and stalling. My girlfriend and I went to Jones junction to buy her a used Toyota Corolla. Our salesman name was Sara. She was very knowledgeable and friendly with us. Once my girlfriend found the car she wanted we were happy, they were just about to close for the day, so when came by to sign the paperwork the guy in charge of that wasn't around. So they gave us dealer tags for us to be able to drive it. I parked my car on their lot to come back and get it later. One of the headlights on the Toyota went out, so we went back to the dealership and I got a spare I had. So while we putting the headlight bulb in an off duty state trooper was working as a security guard. He immediately got very angered and frustrated with us for no reason. Apparently dealerships can't give customers dealer tags, it is against the law. We were not aware of this. So a total of 2 on duty state troopers and this security guard were all trying to figure out if Jess and I had stolen the tag to enable us to steal a car on the lot, which is was not the case. We told the security guard to call the owner of the business, that's when he let us know he didn't have any way to reach out to your employer (pretty dumb if you ask me). Thankfully Jess was able to contact Sara who worked there which proceeded to solve this mystery the police could not. Every trooper was extremely rude to Jess, me, and her 9 year old daughter, but one. I never got his name but he was nice to us. That problem was resolved. The next day when the financing department was open, jess and I were told they would need a $500 down payment. We told them before that we had no money to use as a down payment. The woman in financing said why don't we write 2 checks for the down payment. Sounded fair, jess wrote the first for $200 we told them the day they were supposed to be cashed. Then proceeded to write a check for $300 and was told and put in writing to not cash that check until 1 week from this coming Friday. The first check went through no problem. However jess went out to buy some groceries during the next week her account was already overdrawn because their financing department cashed the check 4 days early. Obviously the check bounced as it should've: considering her paycheck didn't show up early to cover their huge mistake. So between overdraft charges, bounced check fines. This was turning our world into a nightmare. I spoke with Sara to not let them do it again until I could talk to someone in the financing department. I said I was going to give them a check from my account and to take back the original. Somehow their inability to talk to each other caused them to cash it yet again, after I specifically told them not to. that check did clear because it was jess' money for rent. So Jones Junction knew jess was looking at getting evicted from her house but they didn't care because they got their money. I gave them one star because we did get a nice car from them. But never and I mean never when I say we will never go through them ever again. All they care about is them selling cars, whether it ruins you completely, lose your house? Tough is what they would say at this point. It was the worst experience I've ever been through buying a car. read more

I just called to get the price on a Subaru Crosstrek. I noticed there was one listed for $21k with 20k miles on it and one listed with 45k with no price. I called to get the price that turned out to be $22900. I asked why the car with more mileage was more money and received a story about how one came from the rental department and the other... I stopped listening for a bit because it's out of my price range. At the end of the story he told me he could charge me more money for the one with 20k miles on it if I wanted. No thank you. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. My husband and I are both military. We bought a car and needed to have the title processed a certain way through our home state. We gave the dealership the exact information they needed to process everything the first time, correctly. I received a call a few days later that they made some mistakes on the initial paperwork. Then a month or so later I was told the paper work I submitted was lost and I needed to submit it again. A few more weeks pass and I reach out to get an update but yet again all my paperwork is "lost". I have physically handed the paperwork to people on three separate occasions. Their excuse was that they lost the one lady who was helping me but come to find out she was still working there. After more than 6 months I decided to reach out to the CFO Charlie Cremens. At first he looked into what was going on but then he passed it off onto Brooke who told me that she was working with the title department to get everything squared away. The CFO told Brooke that they were working to get me the refund check for having overpaid initially. It all sounded promising until the process of me submitting paperwork that had already been submitted numerous times, had started again. It only took a few weeks from the last time I stepped foot in their office for them to start blowing me off. My refund of $3,000 sure could have helped me while I was in the process of moving, paying my bills, and not having a really tight Christmas. My family has really needed this money. Jones Junction has been nothing but a nightmare and I am extremely disappointed in the service I have received. read more

I took my car to jones and they told me they would fix the part for free( about $500). Two days after the part was fixed, the engine light came on again. I just got so fed up with the place that I started taking my car somewhere else to get fixed. I had a verbal agreement to purchase a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 (stock #8874A)for $32,115 with Sales Consultant John Burns via phone on 9/29/11 at 2:33 pm. I offered to put a credit card hold on the truck, but he/they agreed to hold the vehicle for me with out doing so. I called John Burns at 6:04 pm on 6/28/11 to let him know I had the check and was planning on coming up to get the truck. After a short conversation we agreed that traffic might prevent me from arriving before they closed and the plan was for me to come up on Friday morning( 6/30/11) when I got off work to pick up the truck. At 6:57 pm John Burns calls me back and tells me the truck has sold. I called him back at 6:58 pm and asked how the truck sold since we had an agreement. He said "we have 43 acres of vehicles and lots of salesmen". read more

This dealership is absolutely wonderful! It was like dealing with friends and family. The process was very easy and we were very pleased with the service. The Subaru dealership near our home was horrible and didn't have the specific car we wanted so we checked out Jones. Here is my review from Heritage Subaru to help explain what happened.... Oh gosh, where do I start.... :-( First of all, we have purchased multiple cars from Heritage Chrysler,Jeep & Dodge OM over the years and up until now have been very pleased. A few weeks ago, we decided to make a drastic change and trade in our Ram 2500 for an STI. Unfortunately, the Heritage dealerships can't work together unless they are the same type of vehicle. So we went to trade in our RAM at Heritage Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge & they couldn't get us a Subaru from the other lot even though it was Heritage b/c they work separately. So we went to Heritage Subaru and people working there could not have been more tacky & sleazy. The good part was that the sales person was a young women who was very sweet and new to the dealership and she did everything to accommodate us. I am specifically complaining about the manager and his associates. We wanted a specific amount to trade in our Ram and he came in $11,000 less than where we wanted to be. We weren't being unreasonable b/c we had equity in the truck and knew the value. So, we asked him to appraise our truck again (they laughed at us) and this time he said he would call Heritage Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge for guidance. He came back to us and said that they agreed with his number. We were so livid and the manager was terrible, he was rude and doesn't know how to properly close a deal. He told us to go to HCJD OM to deal with it. I feel badly for the sales girl under him b/c she lost commission. Meanwhile, we went to Heritage Chrysler,Jeep & Dodge OM to ask them whats going on and why they appraised us so low and they actually verified that no one there ever got a phone call from Subaru so the manager was a liar!! Also, the manager at Dodge right away offered $5,000 more than Subaru. Not where we wanted to be, but we were getting close. Oh, and they had very little inventory and we weren't going to settle for a color or model that we didn't really want. So as soon as we left around 7pm on a Friday night, we found the make, model and color of the exact car we wanted at the Jones Subaru in Bel Air. We got there at 7:30pm and we immediately test drove the one we wanted, all while the manager appraised our truck. They offered us exactly what we needed and didn't sneak it on the back-end of the STI. We were financed and totally finished with the car deal by 9:01pm, just as they were ready to close the doors. This was the smoothest, most pleasurable car buying experience ever. Aside from taking our other Heritage cars to the service department for issues under warranty, we will NEVER buy another car from any Heritage dealer again. There is more to the story on another review for HCJD OM but overall it was a very uncomfortable experience. To clarify, it's not even the money, it's the way we were handled and spoken to. We're not anybody special but after so much business, you'd think they'd be more respectful. read more

The good, the bad and the well... OK. My wife and I just bought our second Crosstrek at Jones Belair Subaru. It almost didn't happen - and if it hadn't have happened it would have been the fault of one person. Kathleen the person who responds to internet inquiries. We inquired about a specific car with specific options and Kathleen told us YES! we have two on the lot that meet your needs. We tell her we're on the way. We were there in about 40 minutes and guess what - they had ZERO cars that we were looking for. To be honest, I was very pissed and nearly walked out the door... but I had - had a very good buying experience my first time in and wasn't going to blame the entire dealership for one ding-dong's ineptitude. My wife and I spoke with John Smith who I believe is a manager and he told us he could get her the exact car she wanted before the end of the day. He also went ahead and printed out the True Car estimate and his numbers were within $300 or so of my true car estimate so my wife and I said lets bring it in. They had to get it from a dealer in Delaware. We said we'd be in the next morning to buy the car. John brought it in and we went back next morning and bought the car. Both John and our salesperson Josh provided a good enough level of service to overcome Kathleen's ignorance. Now to be fair, maybe she isn't ignorant at all. Perhaps it's just a ploy to get you in the door. It worked for us, but I see where it has really irked others who have given only one star. While I don't like the tactic and made myself clear about that to Josh... in fact going so far as to say Kathleen should be fired... the fact is, the rest of the team is solid. Peggy in finance has been friendly both times through and is fun to sit and chat with if she has time. Bottom line, I hate all car dealers... but this one I can tolerate. They have been very fair to me on price both times and other than Kathleen pissing me off, they have gone above and beyond for me. My first salesman 6 months ago was Fred... so look for Fred or Josh when you go in... and tell them I sent you. read more

Wow, I wish I had read some of the reviews before I went there. I felt like I experienced the old "bait and switch" with regard to the pricing of a vehicle, even though the car had been posted for days at the same specific price on cars.com, autortrader.com, the dealer's own website and then by phone. I checked very carefully as to the price as this dealership was about a 1.5 hour drive away from me, so I was not going to make the trip out there without confirmation in advance. I got the same "explanation" of how the price is now suddenly higher because of Maryland state inspection costs that others have posted here. Why is it posted for sale IN MARYLAND if it has not yet been through MARYLAND inspection and then neglect to tell prospective buyers purchasing it in MARYLAND that oops, we forgot to do that or update the listing? Then the salesman had the temerity to call me two hours after I left to tell me the car had been sold - but now three days later, it is still listed for sale on the dealer's own inventory website and other car purchasing websites, and then before posting this review, I confirmed by phone it was still for sale. What's up with that? I don't recommend to anyone. read more

I have been going to this dealership service center since I bought my Subaru. I purchased a platinum warranty with the car which comes with free oil changes and free tire rotations. I had my oil changed per manufacturer recommendations and I always asked them about the rotations when I go for the oil change, like "am I due for the tire rotation?", or "was the tire rotation done?" and always they told me yes. On my last trip, the dealership indicated my tires were getting worn and Fall would be a good time to replace them. Today, I had a flat and had to get it patched. I went to a local tire business and asked them to take a look at my tires to estimate exactly when I would need to get them replaced. The guy told me my rear tires were bald and my front tires still had 10,000 to 15,000 miles of wear left and that the only way this could be is if my tires weren't being rotated properly. I know everyone is wary of what the dealership finds extra that needs to be done, but is anyone paying attention to the stuff they are supposed to do and aren't? I won't go back there EVER! read more

Absolutely incompetent service department. 1st visit, took car because it was stalling, they diagnostic an air sensor issue, didn't seem right but that's what the "machine" said...fine. One day later, the car is still stalling. 2nd visit, they replaced , two days later car stalled again. That's two visits $900 and no resolution of the problem. These people have NO idea what they are doing. They just swap out parts until they come upon the failed component. No true diagnostic skills. Maybe they can fix a flat...but I can not guarantee that. I was excited to buy my certified pre-owned subaru for my family. Since we got it I have loved the vehicle but had several recurring intermittent problems that ended up leaving me stranded well over two hours from home with my newborn. I called back to jones to explain what happened and told them that I simply couldn't trust the vehicle because of the recurring electrical system issues. Since it has only been 45 days since I purchased the vehicle I called to ask if there was any way to return the vehicle and purchase a new one, even explaining that I would be willing to buy a more expensive model, since my wife and I are both on active duty and I need a reliable vehicle for her and our children while I'm deployed. I was informed that "we didn't knowingly sell you a problem with mechanical issues, so we don't hold any liability for the vehicle" and that they would buy it back from me as a regular sale (about a 5k loss for me in 45 days). Agent I spoke to his name was David D' Aquila wanted me to sign over my car and wanted me to give him possetion of my car keys without showing me any cars or SUVs ,he also disrespected me and yelled in front of customers for me to get te hell out of his store and that he wasn't going to help me with a car, I was so embarrassed I was going to call authority on David but I calmed down , I don't recommend no one to go to jones junction or any of jones dealers. read more
