Anyways, i always noticed that this particular store has some " characters" in the form of their employees that are stocking the areas and otherwise monitoring the self checkouts. There is this one guy who is taller, thin , and older looking maybe a little grey in the hair but he is always very strict on the rules, does not give anybody the benefit of the doubt and does not like kids at all... Then there is the Asian lady that works at checkout and is usually chill but sometimes she will also comment on things i buy and pry... So basically with all these interactions from the workers there whom i STRONGLY suspect are Special needs people because they have tendencies that trend toward the Autistic ( i work with special needs kids so i recognize that stuff ) IT quickly becomes a place that is no longer the NEUTRAL space where you get in get your snacks and get out - it is now a place where you CLEARLY get judged for what you order and verbally disrespected... The taller older guy especially gets rude VERY quickly and is not a good representation of a good customer service professional! This along with the fact that Save Mart is not really competitive with ANY store for prices has caused me to AVOID it even if it is the closest store to my house, and that is sad because there are PLENTY of other Save Marts that do a great job with customer service and aren't rude. Good thing there's a new Costco that just got built in the area so you can just skip this place like i do unless you ABSOLUTELY need cold sore cream and CVS is closed! : )

While I was shopping tonight, I went to the self checkout where there were THREE registers open. As I walked to one, an employee who was in full uniform on her phone, with short black hair and white complexion(if I got her name I would say it) raised her voice towards me saying "HI. HI. UHM THERES A LINE, IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A WHILE" as she was walking towards me. If I would have known she was in line, I wouldn't have gone in front of her, I even apologized and pointed out there were two other registers open. But I must say, as an employee of the store and had no less than THREE registers open she should have gone about that differently. She has no customer service skills whatsoever, even if she was having a bad day don't treat other people poorly because you're unhappy. She represented the store very poorly and hopefully she can get educated on better social skills. I will say the women in the bakery area were very delightful and nice! read more

I'm so glad I found this grocery store! The customer service was excellent; the staff went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and even helped me load my cart with heavy items. The quality of the products was fantastic, particularly the fresh meat and seafood department, where everything was impeccably fresh. I also noticed their selection of organic and gluten-free products, which I appreciated. When it comes to value, this store delivers--prices are fair for the high quality of the goods. Great source for bulk grains and pastas. I go here when I'm looking for something special, like quinoa pasta or raw milk. Otherwise, the prices and general lack of things that are bad for you keep this from being my main grocery store. I do however, LOVE the monthly Stumptown Coffee Tastings at the Cafe. read more

Their bakery is great too and you can buy whole pizzas! We recently bought some of their premade Cinnamon Rolls to bake at home and they were delicious! Here goes: Early morning detour as I'm out of coffee at home and have one of my babies at the vet yet again this Saturday morning. We passed this 7-11 location as we rounded the corner to the vet so once the man n Poopie, the baby were securely deposited at the vet I blasted off to get my cup ó Joe just one light over. Although I do frequent 7-11's since moving here recently it's always for ice so wasn't sure what to expect in the area of coffee. What I found was a really clean inside and outside store. The coffee area was clean as well with fully stocked mini liquid creamers. International Delight brand with French Vanilla a few others and my fav: Pure fat filled creamy unsweetened 1/2 & 1/2. To the left a crammed full carousel of liquid flavored syrups for flavoring my coffee. Since I'm a sugar free person and I'm used to there never being sugar free stuff available in situations like this I was super surprised and thrilled to see the three FULL Vanilla, Caramel and Hazelnut pump syrups there and used them liberally ;)~ Score! Coffee was super fresh and strong and all for $1.55 for a medium sized cup oh! and they have those thick coffee sleeves for protecting yourself from the boiling hot liquid as you hold onto it.. Busted once again snapping shots of the interior of the store as the only employee did a drive by me and stopped to see what I was doing so I told him. Lakhbir then told me about the free iPhone app for 7-11 which offered coupons which I was unaware of so I appreciated his friendliness and helpfulness. A rare find anywhere these days let alone at a 7-11. He had me at coupons. So far the best and CLEANEST 7-11 experience in Sacto for me. Excellent customer service and clean well stocked items.
