My boyfriend and I used to love coming here, he'd get a pedicure while I'd get a set. Today, I stopped in, showing an inspiration picture. I understand it'll never be an exact match, but I expected a good job on my set. I had a gel X fill, and before we started, I asked if they could file the nails down even with a fill. The lady said yes, but in the end, she just said she was done and didn't even file them. I then asked if she could file them down, and she declined, saying she didn't recommend it. However, seeing that I wasn't satisfied, she lightly filed them. Also, my middle finger shows where the nail was glued. I'm frustrated because this is how sets are often finished now. If I'm paying over $115 for this set, I shouldn't see where the nail was glued or filed, nor should there be air bubbles or dust. The quality just isn't there anymore. Do not go to Bel Age without an appointment. Truthfully, I am going through a hard time, and I'm probably irrationally taking it out on this review. I have been going to Bel Age for years, reliably getting my nails done by Amanda. She has never disappointed me, and I recommended many people to Bel Age, making appointments with Amanda, as she is fantastic with hand-painted designs and new techniques that become popular on social media. However, I have recently had quite a few bad experiences there, today taking the cake, and as much as I love Amanda's work, I will no longer be bringing my business to Bel Age. In the past, my schedule has changed that I couldn't go on a day that worked for Amanda, and other nail technicians would say they could do designs for me that they proved, after the fact, were too difficult for them. If I didn't make my appointment with Amanda, I wouldn't bring designs, because I simply didn't trust another technician to be able to do it. Another time, I started a new job and had to have my acrylics removed. I figured a nail tech would be able to remove them safer than me. Their way of removing them was stabbing my nail beds and just ripping them off (essentially down to my final layer of natural nail). I have taken them off safer myself many times, so I know this is not the best way to do it, but it is the fastest, and that was clearly their only priority. This all led to today. As I noted earlier, I've been going through a hard time, and I wanted to treat myself to getting my nails done. I got there at 11:45am where I was asked to take a seat, and they said they'd be with me in a few minutes. 45 minutes later, it's 12:30pm, and they still haven't gotten to me, and at this point I had to leave for work, so I left. I'm not upset with the fact that they couldn't get to me. I understand I didn't make an appointment as I usually would have. I am upset because they kept saying, "Just a few more minutes," again showing they had no regard for my time. If they had told me, "We are fully booked with appointments, we're looking at a 45 minute to hour long wait," I would have known what to expect, and probably would still consider them for my business, but I do not care to feel like I'm just a walking wallet to them, especially with how long I've been a customer. I hope they can have more transparency with their customers in the future, but I will no longer be one. read more

Been coming here for years and I can't even tell you how many people I've sent here to get their nails done. Every two-three weeks I spend around $200 on my nails here and I will never be stepping foot in here again. I showed up to my 5:00 appointment 5 minutes before 5 yesterday and they told me that they need me to come back another day because she didn't have enough time for me and that why didn't I tell them she needed two hours with me. Telling me that I was supposed to know that not them. Last I heard I don't work there. Ridiculous right? Can't believe they do this to their regulars. I'll be taking my $200 somewhere else! I went in, requesting a full set. I had a design which involved some french polka dots. We sat, and not only did the service take over two hours for a simple design, the girl doing nails was quite rude, didn't even attempt to speak to us, and messed up my designs colors. At the end, we discovered the total for one simple set was $95 dollars, without tip, and with a 10% off "high school" discount. These french tips must have come from France at that price. I am disgusted by this pricing. I could feed 5 families with $95 dollar. This is absolutely diabolical. My mouth was agape hearing such high prices. I stopped by on a Monday afternoon and this place was doing a brisk biz. So many ladies getting so many services; it was BUSTLING. Even so, I was seated for my pedicure right away and we got started instantly. The massage chair was kinda weak, which bummed me out since getting beat up by the chair is half the fun. I got the Deluxe Pedicure which I believe came out to $43. She did a great job though, and the massage felt sufficiently long. My toes look good! I walked in asking for my Gel x nails to come off and then i wanted a NEW SET of acrylics. The lady and I were talking about me doing acrylics or Gel x again. She then gets my gel x off that i had before and starts to shape my real nails.. i thought this was weird because usually they just chop you're real nails off and glue the fake ones on. After she was done shaping my real nails she glued a fake nail on my pinky nail and chopped it really short. I told her i wanted my new set to be longer than what she had cut for my pink nail. She was like "i know i know" i was like okay weird but whatever. Then after she was done with that I asked her again why my pinky was so short because I wanted long nails and she was like Ohhh you wanted a new set? WHICH I told her in the beginning of me walking in. Then, at this point im like whatever i'll just get my REAL nails done with REGULAR gel polish. She then told me "you're confusing me" LOL.. after saying i wanted gel polish she then put gel x on my real nails which is NOT what i wanted.I came in with a specific design which she could do because I didn't have enough time because Gel X took her over an hour to do.. So i also got nails i didn't even come in intending to get or the design. I spent $74 on my nails and it wasn't anything I wanted. I've had my nails for a WEEK and two nails are already bubbling. I used to come here all the time with no bad experience but I won't be back. I used to come here years ago and used to love it. And I only come here once in a while because this is where my girlfriends come and we will go here together. Unfortunately this last time I came will be my last. I came for a dip manicure and only that. This visit took me two hours. My friends came after I did and they were both done before me. I got two rhinestones on each hand that I was up charged for. All of my nails looked horrible but the rhinestones fell off after a few hours. I called to come back to have my nails fixed and they were going to fix them free of charge. Which was nice. But I just wasn't excited to spend another hour or two in there again. When they redid my nails I guess the color THEY chose ended up being a "special" color and they made me pay another $15 dollars after already paying extra for the rhinestones that fell off.... I also tipped again so this whole excursion ended up being close to $100 for JUST my dip manicure which is insane. And after all this. TWO nails fell off after less than a week! My first experience was good, $77 for a full set with a simple design, I didn't think was so bad, so I booked an appointment for my 16 year old daughter, who likes designs. When I arrived towards the end of her service to pick her up, she looked very unhappy and asked the lady a couple times if she wanted to see the picture again, the lady kept saying no. My daughter was clearly upset, but when I asked her, she said she didn't want to talk about it until we got in the car. So, I proceeded to check out and they lady said it was going to be $175 for her service!! I literally almost fainted!! I had never paid that much for nails and it wasn't even like the design was over complicated and did not take long to complete. I definitely questioned why it was so much, telling them she had been given a $100 limit, to which they replied, "she didn't ask," but I ultimately paid and left. My daughter showed me the pic she requested when we got into the car and the colors were much different than what she received. So $175, for nails, that weren't even the way she wanted them in the first place. Fast forward a few days, I had already made my appointment for my fill prior to the gauging I faced with my daughter, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one off. So, after sitting down, I showed the lady the very simple design that I wanted, nothing crazy and the nail tech wrote down on a paper and said aloud, that will be $77 before even getting started. I told her that the full set I had gotten a couple weeks before was the same price and she then said, it's that price because I wanted design, so I picked a solid color and asked how much for that, she replied that for the solid color it would be $75. At this time, I was getting super annoyed, so I looked at their website and fill was listed at $30, so I questioned her again, why are you charging me $75 dollars, the same amount as my full set, when your website says $30. A lady behind us chimed in and said, "the price on the website is for fill only, no shape, no color." Who EVER goes in to get a fill and doesn't want them shaped or colored!!!??? Nobody, EVER! I ended up leaving after she performed the fill and had them painted somewhere else, she charged me $40 for my fill (I guess it's an additional $10 to get them shaped) and the cost of getting them painted somewhere else was $20, so in total, still $17 less than what I was originally quoted. Let me say that I am NOT cheap, I'll pay for a job well done, further, being an ex restaurant worker, I pride myself in being a fantastic tipper, but their overall attitude and unethical behavior was seriously disturbing. Rude, unethical, I'm not spending ANY more of my hard earned money there, I will NEVER ever go back. I have went through a duck nails phase with Bel Age, to an air brush phase to bedazzled, elaborate designs to my current ombré obsession. I have seen Bel Age grow over the years and always nice to still see familiar faces. I am glad they were able to survive the pandemic and seem to be doing better! The place still gets pretty busy and I definitely recommend appointments but they do take walk ins. I tend to find that right at opening on the week days is the best time to come. The last three times I have been in I have noticed all cdc guidelines in place and really on safety protocol. I want to also give a shout out to Mindy who has really done a great job with my nails. Leaving them classy yet stylish with the perfect ombré look. Although pricing isn't cheap the quality is pretty solid and they always make sure I am happy when leaving. 0 stars!!!!!!!! I was referred by one of their loyal customers. I booked an appointment for gel x with " Lexi". My appointment was scheduled for 5pm didn't get started until 5:30. I needed to get my old gel x removed first, the removal took a lot longer than it should have, she didn't seem know the proper removal for this specific service. She suggested hard gel over my old gel x set. That should've been a red flag she, had no idea how to do the application for gel x. After I told her that I scheduled for gel x and that I needed a complete new set she seemed bothered and continued to attempt to do the application. I should've just stopped her there, but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. After almost 2 hrs she finally finished the application I kept checking my nail for any imperfections and I noticed air bubbles on each nail.. one nail popped off almost immediately after just scratching my head. I knew then that these nail were a complete FAIL!!! I was furious at this point. I told her to remove everything because I was DONE! I wasted 2 hours of my time. I asked to speak to the manager and they kept pushing me off. This was close to closing time they were obviously waiting for the other clients to finish up and leave so they wouldn't hear me fuzzing about the HORRIBLE service. The manager simply ignored my frustration and did nothing about it. I would've appreciated the nail tech's honesty over her pretending to know how to do a service that she obviously didn't know how to do. I had a picture of the length and shape of nails I wanted. My girl was not communicative at all, she just nodded. So she started to do my nails and cut the first one too short before she asked if t was ok. I said fine because how do you start over when the middle finger is cut too short? So she puts the gel on and my nails looked totally flat from the side. I had to ask her to build them up a bit more to be more curved but they just look thick now. I love the amazing beautiful pictures I saw through Facebook and Instagram, this nail salon is the light of my day. Best nail tech at Belage Nails and Spa is Jennifer Nguyen. Jennifer is amazing with nail designs made from gel nail polish, diamonds, glitter, acrylic powder, and rhinestones. Never come to this nail salon, so rude and disrespectful. I came here to get a color change on my pedicure and was left with one of my toenails shape completely altered in the worst way (mind you I never asked for reshaping). When I told Jen (the owners wife) that there had been an issue with my nail shape she rudely said that I was lying and she had not touched my nail shape when I had seen her with my own eyes. Then proceeded to tell someone else who just told me I was wrong and my nail shape was already like that, which it was not. Then said what do you want me to do about it in a condescending manner... with this being said I will never be coming here again. "It's been a while since I've gotten my nails done" is what I told her. I'm usually the one to walk them through their job in how I want my nails because of this same reason. But I wanted to relax and let her do her thing. Got my nails done two days ago and I couldn't stop thinking about how my nails look and what happened. I'm upset and very annoyed. With that being said she did a $25 job and got charged $57($7 charge because of pandemic,which is fine). She didn't clean up my cuticles, she didn't tell me to go wash my hands(my hands were hella dusty), she painted over the dust, only did one coat of color, you can also see my nail line under the polish, didn't moisturize, and now i have crusty a** nails. I also got a pedicure, all together it cost $89. I love this place and don't mind spending money for what I want. But she knows who she is and knows what she did because she tried charging me and sending me off with my hands still all dusty and that made me feel very disrespected. I told her to hold on I'm still getting a pedicure and I'm going to wash my hands. After that she didn't even want to look at me and was pointing for me to sit and had to ask twice because I couldn't tell where she wanted me to go sit. At the end, the girl that did my pedicure was giggling trying to figure out how much they were going to charge me. I felt very judge and disrespected. All I gotta say is..... Ladies, don't be afraid tell them how you want your nails because you are the one that's paying for what you want. You expect them to come a certain way and you deserve it.
