The only reason it does not have 5 stars since they did not offer the "20%" of food which was posted on tell for checking in. The other advice I would have is to have more staff, since they did not come often to change coals or take orders.

A complete hidden gem! Found this place via Top Table…read more We had a very tasty mix schwarma and salad that was super fresh and really well dressed. This was followed by a good Moroccan mint tea which was just like my Grandmother used to make. The food is very authentically Lebanese/Middle Eastern (I'm from the Middle East originally). The shisha was also really good, about £8-10 cheaper than central London and much smoother. They do the coals properly just outside the restaurant. The interior of this place is decorated richly (perhaps not to everyones taste) as well as plush and comfortable. Service was fantastic and the reason this review ultimately gets five stars. Every single server we had had a great attitude. This made our Friday night after a long week at work. If you enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine, great service and shisha done properly - this is a great place to spend an evening without Central London prices. I went expecting a lot less but was pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing place, and an absolute must if you love the authentic taste of the Mediterranean…read more Everything is cooked over charcoal so you get a beautiful BBQ taste to many of the dishes which is really authentic of many Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant has been taken over in the last 2 years+ so if you visited the place previously and were dissapointed with the standard of the food then another visit is well recommended. The staff are amazingly friendly and very helpful, thoroughly explaining the dishes to the minutest detail with real passion and enthusiasm. Whether you are eating with friends, out with business or having a romantic evening with your significant other then this place is ideal and covers all basis. We started with the mixed mezze between two of us (which is plenty when having 2-3 courses). This can be served as a course for one person but we decided to share to get the taste of as much of the cuisine as possible. The great thing about having this as a starter is that there is two of everything so it is also great for sharing if you do not have a huge appetite. 2nd course consisted of the Signature dish of the Mixed grill (charcoal grilled minced lamb, marinated tender chicken and lamb cubes, garnished with salad, served with Cedar rice or French fries), which was sumptuous succulant and tasted amazing. my wife had the Sea Bass and stated that it was the best fish she had ever tasted. The meal was finished off with a nice sweet and all was washed down with a lovely bottle of house red. At the weekend (and sometimes during the week) they have an organist in the restaurant playing authentic lebanese (with the occassional western) music. A little bit Peter Kay(ish) but certainly added to the great atmosphere.

We were initially a little panicked as we walked further down the road than we remembered but thankfully it is still there! The waitress was great, super polite and it was a pleasure to hear her interact with the other tables. We both opted for the grills this time around rather than the Mezze dishes we'd had on previous visits. I had the chicken kebab, while my wife had the halloumi wrap. The chicken was so delicious, in fact I'd be quite happy to eat it again right now as I type this up. It came with a choice of fries or rice, I opted for the rice which was also good, and it came with the side of one of the best garlic sauces I've ever had as well as some salad. The halloumi was also great; we'd been to Nandos recently and thought that the stuff there was bland and rubbish. Thankfully this was like my memory of great halloumi; fresh tasting, a great texture and grilled to perfection. Wonderful experience and I can't wait to return.

I first heard about the Persian Palace over three years ago when I met Allen D (fellow reviewer) at…read morea Yelp event in Soho. Back then he told me about this Persian restaurant in Ealing and I promised I would check it out eventually. Forward several years - I still haven't kept my promise - I receive the following Yelp compliment from Allen D: "Happy New Year Mr Uli. You know every time I end up in Persian Palace I wonder if you've managed to try Persian yet!" Seriously, how can I not but strap on my boots and venture out to Ealing after receiving such a note! I arrived at Persian Palace on a Sunday evening around 7pm and I was greeted by a line of about 15 people. Great...maybe I should've read the reviews forewarning me about this. But I'm in good spirits, have a book on me and am starving...so I queue up in very English fashion. The line moves quite quickly and after about 20-25 minutes waiting I am being offered a table. Once seated I whip out my Yelp App with the intention of studying the other people's reviews for food recommendations. But the nice waitress disapproves of this behaviour. When she sees me studying my phone, she says something like this: "No need to google the best dishes, that's what I am here for!" I loved her for this frankness and right away switched off my phone and waited for her input. I ended up ordering the following starter and main course with her: Starter: Kashk-E-Badenjan (sauteed aubergine, walnuts, garlic, whey and mint) with bread Main: Momtaz (one skewer of marinated chicken fillet and one skewer of mince lamb kabab served with rice, grilled tomato) Drink: Doogh (yogurt-based beverage seasoned with mint; similar to the Turkish Ayran) All of the above items were plentiful and delicious and I was happy as a puppy! And even though I was quite satiated after these two rather big portions, I still remembered a dessert when I had first read Allen's review: Paloodeh (or has he spelt it: Faloodeh). Paloodeh is a Persian sorbet threaded with rice noodles and flavoured with rose water. It's served along with a fresh slice of lemon, which you're supposed to squeeze over the sorbet. I have to say this was the highlight of my dinner. The unusual combination of sorbet and vermicelli noodles was exotic and absolutely delicious. I loved it! Some last tips: * I suggest coming here as a group - do make a reservation though! * If you live nearby, you can skip the line and order take away (online ordering is possible) Thanks, Allen D, for making me come here!
