Was impressed by their online ordering segment. We've always called and food was always ready when I arrived. The online app have no indication of any delays. Must have been a dozen people waiting when I arrived. I asked for an approx time after being there for awhile and was told 20 minutes. It took 35 more minutes to get my order. Great spot to grab some delicious Chinese take-out. I hadn't had Chinese in a while, and boy did this place hit the spot. I like that it's located in the large Publix plaza, meaning there's plenty of parking, and you can stop in and grab some food while shopping or running errands. The restaurant is fairly small, although there are a few tables available if you want to eat in. I was immediately served when I walked to the counter by a very friendly host. She took my order, and I had my food in about 7 minutes. The servings were pretty generous for the price, certainly enough to eat a full meal and have leftovers for lunch, or a hungover breakfast. I ordered the vegetable lo mein and General Tsao's chicken, and they were both excellent. Cooked just right- and I love the spicy sweet of the chicken. I also really enjoyed the durable take out containers- nothing worse than a leaky, greasy paper container. These were nice, solid plastic. Overall- a great place to grab a quick lunch or especially some take out. The food was delicious, price was right, and good service on top. Definitely recommended for those in the area. read more

We arrived about 20 minutes after we ordered our food online and then proceeded to wait another 20+ minutes in the restaurant. The restaurant has no AC running and by the time I left I was sweating. The girl at the front desk did not so much as apologize for the wait and about 15 other people were also waiting for their food. The front desk lady taking orders via phone repeatedly told customers food would be ready in 25/30 minutes, I would NOT believe that after tonight. My order was a simple wonton soup, lo mein, and dumplings. It should never have taken that long. A few months ago I gave this restaurant a 5 star review and after my experience tonight I'll never go back. read more

The restaurant is in a prime location in the Publix shopping center. The menu is extensive and we decided to try it. My son loves the Teriyaki skewers and loved them. They are not too salty. I liked the Beef and Broccoli. My husband liked the Chicken and Black Bean sauce. Overall it was all fresh. My one complaint is the rice. It was almost crunchy. It could have been a rare occurrence. They were very busy in the take outs. Was it a reason not to try again? Not at all. Rice is the foundation of this menu though and that is why I gave only 3 stars. read more

The place is very clean at all times even when they are very busy. whatever you order it is always excellent portions are huge. Not expensive for the amount of food they give you. I was so excited to learn a Chinese restaurant was near yet was disappointed by the taste of everything we ordered.

I had the garlic shrimp, vegetable rice, and a spring roll. My daughter had the chicken and broccoli, white rice, and a spring roll. We also ordered an order of ragoons. I usually don't order shrimp from Chinese places but I asked if they cleaned and deveined and they said yes. Well the dish was excellent. Probably the best I've ever had. Shrimp was a good size too. Ragoons were the best we've had too. The only thing that I would change is the onions they use. These had little flavor. read more

I have been in the Jacksonville area for 14 years and this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is ALWAYS fresh and the flavors are spot on. Whether you are dining in or taking out, if it's great Chinese food you are craving, look no further. Perhaps the only downfall is no delivery, but it is well worth the drive. read more

Average take out food. Poor customer service. Ordered over $50 worth of take out via phone, was told 10-15 minutes. Arrived after 15 minutes and waited an additional 30 minutes; several people ordered at the restaurant and received their food prior to us without calling ahead. Girl behind the counter lacked the basic customer service skills necessary to offer an apology. No fortune cookies in the bag when we got home didn't help our overall opinion. China Wok and Yummy both outclass this establishment, doubt we'll try it again. read more

I tried this place after seeing the food at the other local Chinese take-out restaurant on the floor outside in back after it was delivered. Needless to say I don't go back to that place but this place has good food seems nearly identical yet fresher somehow. I still get confused if I point something out on the picture menu and get something totally different but hey that's how these places always are ha. read more

Pretty dang good for fast food Chinese. We called and ordered it to-go. It was ready when we walked in. Piping hot when we got it home. Portion sizes very good. Their egg rolls are pretty standard, but dipped in duck sauce they were delicious! Will definitely return for take out Chinese! Yum! read more

Delicious Chinese! We have been happily enjoying the food from Beijing Cafe (BC) for the last 8-9 years. The food is excellent, it is a great price for the plentiful portions given and it is family owned. The husband-wife team are very nice and they have gotten to know our orders so well that Mindy knows to include extra spicy oil for my husband when she hears his voice on the phone or sees us when we go in to pick up our food. Their menu has quite a lot of selections (over 100!) including vegetarian - the Broccoli with garlic sauce is awesome (especially with Tofu added) and so is the Sweet and Sour, Honey and Bourbon Chicken. When we are sick, BC is the first place we turn to for soothing Vegetable or Chicken Noodle Soup. They cook in 100% vegetable oil and offer several "Healthy Steamed Dishes" where no oil is used at all. An added bonus is that BC is often open when other restaurants are closed for holidays. There are also several tables and a high counter at the front window with taller bar stools to eat inside if you like. The current cashier/phone order young lady (blond, curly hair) is the best they have had so far! My husband has always liked Chinese food, but BC has made me a Chinese food lover!
