It was the cheapest meal I had in London so thank you for that relief to my wallet. Made it to the hole in the wall shop early am and we walked into the place, no line, was served very quickly, ate bagel at the stand up countertop. They've got a process and it clearly works to maximize profits. They get you in and out no frills. In hindsight, I should have gotten the bagels toasted. They come premade so if you aren't quick to say toasted you will be served your bagel in a bag and off you go. A good tasting snack with plenty of cream cheese and lox but does it compare to NYC? Um nope but it's a good snack for a few pounds and you can't beat that. We happened to walk down the street an hour later and line was out the door. Great place to grab breakfast if you are in the area and you're looking for a quick bite.

Food: one of the best meals I had in London haha, so simple but so good, get the salted beef beigel, the meat and pickles are perfect and so cheap Service: fast service and queue moves fast Ambiance: great for a quick meal and walk around the street

Had to check this place out, saw it on Billy and Dom Eat the World and I love LOTR! I had the salted beef with cheddar cheese, it was quite filling. When I got there, it was busy, when I left, it was even busier! This place is right next to another beigel shop but this 24hour shop is the more popular one. Located on Brick Lane, plenty to catch your eye while you devour your bagel! All the food is very affordable too, I wish I had room in my tummy to eat more!

This place is a must when you are in the area! The soft bagel paired with the beef, the English mustard tang, and the cool crisp pickle make for a delicious bite after bite! Absolutely brilliant! Service was good. It's a small place so best for a grab and go.

This Jewish bagel shop, a true hole in the wall, is da bomb! We got the salted beef on a bagel, just brilliant. Test your girl's love and bring her here for a salted beef. If she still talks to you afterwards, she's a keeper and not a gold digger! Salmon bagel ok and cheap, but not as divine as the salted beef.

This review is long overdue but travel all the way across the pond with this place on my list of places to try. It did not disappoint, it's everything you need in a bagel!

Beigel Bake was on my social media and in some YouTube videos so I had to come check them out. They are famous for their Salt Beef Beigel. We came early morning as they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since it was raining, we called an Uber from the Whitechapel station off the District line. 20 minutes walking in the rain is no fun for anyone that doesn't have an umbrella. We can thank our airline for delaying our flight a few times before cancelling it. After rebooking and finally arriving in London, our luggage didn't make it so we didn't have anything for the London weather. Hence calling an Uber...the Chinese in me didn't wanna do it but had to. Along the drive in the morning, we saw the beautiful graffiti artwork heading to Beigel Bake so that was nice. Would have been nice to walk and take some photos since none of the shops were open yet. When you enter, the place is well lit and you walk to the end of the display counter to order. They have a large and clear menu to choose from. There are counter area along the wall you can eat on but there are no stools or chairs. Customer service reminded me of a way nicer version of order bagels in New York City. I knew I was going to order the Salt Beef Beigel with mustard and pickles. Mink ordered their Cream Cheese. I loved my Salt Beef Beigel and it started off my morning right. The beef was well seasoned and so tender. Portion size was just right but make sure to bring wipes and they don't have napkins (or none that we saw) as mustard can get on your fingers. Mink enjoyed her Cream Cheese bagel but it's not the same as bagels in New York City. It was a good stop for a quick bite before starting our day. I see why their Salt Beef Beigel is so famous and I would definitely come back for it.

This is a pretty solid bagel shop here in London. I got a salted beef bagel with mustard and gherkins, and it tasted great!! The bagel was quite hard to chew. The employees were fast, got in and out in less than 10 minutes with a line out the door. I would try some of their other items next time.

Salt and beef . Weird taste. Not good.

Pro-tip: do not order the salt and beef here. It's bloody disgusting. Not good. The other bagel place right next to it is leaps and bounds better. Ordered the salt and beef bagel with mustard and pickles. The salty beef was Horrid. I don't know if it was rancid but it had one heck of a gnarly taste. It like almost tasted like they reheated the meat in a microwave or something. It had like a bizarre almost sour metallic flavor . I threw it out and ate the bagel. And you know what? The plain bagel wasn't half bad. But considering I paid 7 pounds for a plain bagel, I got taken. Can't say I recommend this one.

Much like the bagel shop next door, this place is legit! I did find that the bagels here are a bit more on the well done side, so be on the lookout if that's not your preference. I thought it was funny to see a bagel without its typical hole in the middle, but the taste was there! Quick service and great vibes! I wish I could transport back to London to grab another bagel here.

lox, salt beef bagels

Was recommended this place by a friend who said it was one of her favorite bagels ever so I had to try it out. This was such a cool no frills bagel place that reminded me of some of the jewish delis in NY (this is coming from someone who is neither from London nor from NY so take this with a grain of salt) It was honestly quite fast and cheap (and surprisingly no line when I went on a Sunday morning). I got a lox bagel and my boyfriend got a salt beef, both of which were so simple yet sooo tasty. The bagels themselves were really nice and chewy, and the salt beef with pickle and mustard was such an interesting but tasty combo. Definitely hit the spot after a morning of walking around The one nit I had was that the cream cheese wasn't very evenly distributed on my lox bagel. They definitely just slipped a cold block of cream cheese in a half cut bagel and called it a day. Given that this place is such a quick grab and go spot it makes sense, you can just spread it out if that bothers you. I unfortunately didn't notice so my first few bites were mostly salmon and my last few bites were mostly cream cheese My boyfriend also said that the mustard on his salt beef was suuuper strong, he was getting teary eyed. Luckily he and I both enjoy mustard so it wasn't a big deal, but definitely keep that in mind if you're thinking about whether or not to get mustard. I didn't try any other bagels in London so I can't really compare, but I would definitely recommend this one if you're looking for a nice quick breakfast

The bagels themselves are ok, but the salt beef bagel for £5.70 is an absolute bargain! There's a reason why they have a line out the door at this bagel shop that is open at 24/7. The line moves quickly, so don't be discouraged. The salt beef bagel comes with thick slices of beef, like an American corned beef and a sinus-clearing mustard, which is optional. I added the gherkin for an extra 30p and got a banging sandwich for around $7.50. The combo worked really well together. Even my husband, who has sworn off eating beef, could not resist a bite. And another one. And another. When it was gone, he said we should get another! They have other options like smoked salmon and cream cheese or tuna salad, but this is the sandwich they are famous for. They even have one guy whose whole job is assembling these beauties. Definitely worth visiting if you're in London. This was my first time, and I'm going to make sure it's one of my regular stops from now on!

If you didn't know about this place ahead of time it would be easy to walk by on your way home after a night out and think hm, I wonder why a bagel place is open 24 hrs/day. I'm still wondering this, but am glad it is. We popped in on our walk home from dinner/drinks around 1130PM and the place was by no means empty. We went with the salted beef bagel, which is an absolute must. The meat is delicious and ample in portion. Put into the bagel with a lovely seasoned spread. Also opted for salmon/cream cheese, which was fairly standard but the bagel quality itself really stood out. Quick service and a great option for your walk home to your hotel if you're in the area.

We compared both salt beef bagel spots and they both have their own perks, one softer bagel, one more pickles etc.

The second we walked by Dirty Bagels we knew we had to stop, it smelled SO GOOD! We decided to…read moreshare one and the staff were really friendly as they took our order. They also if we wanted to add some cracklings to our sandwich, which was unique and we happily accepted to try it out. We opted for the brioche bun and it was soft and fluffy with the super flavorful slow roasted pulled pork. The cracklings were a nice addition and we enjoyed every bite of the sandwich and were even tempted to get a second, but we knew we didn't want to be too full as we continued our adventuring in the area. This Dirty Bagels is located in Smithfield Market and it was surrounded by a lot of other food and shopping options. They also have communal seating available right by the stand which makes it easy to stop and eat or take your sandwich on the go. This would be a must stop for me anytime I'm in the area.

I was only in London for a day this time around and I wanted to explore new places so I checked out…read morethe Seven Dials Market. Walking around, Dirty Bagels caught my eye because of the pulled pork. Living in Texas, I've eaten a lot of pulled pork and I gotta say this was pretty darn good! It was moist and tender, the sauce added the perfect amount of kick and flavor, the cheese and the bit of crackling was the perfect addition. For only $10, this was a solid deal for this meal. Definitely worth a try!
