The owners, Michelle and Amber are serious about making the business the best place to work so they really can choose the best therapists. You'll regularly find the entire staff supporting a kiddo on their birthday with a fun shirt or costume, which speaks volumes to a "customer first" culture. They have sensory rooms in the office that are genuinely one of a kind in the States. When specialized care is so difficult to find, it's a relief to find a place like ODPT to calm your nerves. Watching your kid's progress in a safe space that they really enjoy visiting week after week is happiness in a bottle. I spoke with the owner, Amber Humphrey, and she suggested that we work with Norma. She was the perfect occupational therapist for my daughter. She understood the mental health issues my kid was dealing with and didn't make her feel "crazy." She taught her several coping skills that she has been able to use when feeling overwhelmed. Shelby was also so great when dealing with our hectic schedules and was always super friendly and ready to help. (Couldn't hurt, right?) Turns out, he DID in fact have a tongue tie! Pediatrician, ENT nor myself never caught that! Jennifer saved us the hassle of having to deal with that later down the road! We have met with Margaret only a few times so far, and have seen improvement already! We got a letter from the Speech Emporium claiming that they mailed me a statement in July and spoke with me on September. I have never received such a statement and spoken with the Speech Emporium. I reviewed my credit card statements and found out that I have paid $1,800.00 from Jan to May. There is no way we owe Speech Emporium for $500.00 On the letter, the Speech Emporium threaten to report the unpaid bill to the collection if I don't pay by Nov 11th. This is a medical scam!

I felt comfortable with her right away. Amy promised that she would leave really good notes so that Brookelynn would be able to pick up right where we left off and she made good on her promise! Also Amy has kept me very informed on what my goals are which is very helpful. She regularly goes through my record with me and we talk about it which is so helpful as a patient. It makes me feel like we are a team. My first appointment I told her I had a hard time explaining my symptoms to the doctor because I didn't know much about hip anatomy and how to describe symptoms having to do with the hip. She has listened to what I am saying and looked it up and helped me to find the more common terms for what I am trying to describe. I also like that if I have a question about something, no matter what it is Amy finds an answer for me before I leave. And not just questions necessarily but also any concerns. Yesterday I had some questions about some things my PCP had said and I had concerns that the insurance was going to stop my physical therapy, and she asked Ashika the physical therapist for clarification. Ashika took the time to come in and talk to me personally and also she did some testing and recommended some new exercises. I love believe therapies. They really make me feel like I'm not alone, and I'm being heard. Finally!
