During the tour, I was given several promises about his care, communication, and services. I was told I would be regularly informed about how his day went and what happened with him, but only happened once on three weeks after I asked bcba couple of times for updates!! I was also promised that my son would receive speech therapy five times a week, but this never happened as promised. I was also promised weekly meetings with parents to discuss my child's progress, needs, and development, but those meetings never happened(even I asked them for that meeting several times). Based on my experience, I felt that the communication was very poor and that many of the promises made during the tour were not followed through. As parents of children with autism, we trust these schools with our children and expect honesty, communication, and proper care. Please ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and make sure the services promised to your child are actually being provided. This place care more about money than the kid needs so it's a big no! Zero star for sure

I don't know a more competent and effective counselor for that purpose, and I know many. I have referred my own clients to Michael, but also family members, all people I care deeply about and desperately want to see experiencing relief and success. He has never failed to deliver. I am especially impressed by Michael's demonstrated habit of referring out when a client's needs are outside his specialization. He could easily trade on his reputation to draw clients who might be better served elsewhere. But he is a true specialist. As to his manner, Micheal is wonderfully approachable and relatable. He's easy to know, and a pleasure just to spend time with. No expert ego issues. I will continue to rely upon him for clients experiencing the often devastating impact of OCD. I had been misdiagnosed for years and been through a few poor therapists before finally finding him & having him confirm my OCD diagnosis. I felt immediately comfortable talking to him about even those most uncomfortable things, and could tell he genuinely cared and understood. He has so much knowledge not only from being trained in ERP, CBT & ACT but also from his personal experience with having OCD. It's so relieving to have a therapist who truly understands the struggle and is living proof that you can recover and take back the power OCD has stolen from you. He has a positive attitude and is your biggest cheerleader in your recovery without promoting any toxic positivity or fake enthusiasm. He really helps you get to the root of your obsessions and compulsions, and understanding what to do with that information. He sends you wonderful articles and homework assignments to use as tools throughout the week and gives great book recommendations to supplement weekly sessions. I still have a lot to learn but I feel as if I've already progressed so much within the short time I've been working with Michael. I started out feeling hopeless, terrified, resistant, confused, desperate and depressed. I was worried I was beyond help, and overloaded by all my issues, especially having health anxiety during a pandemic.. Now I am learning so much more about myself, making sense of my issues, learning how to become comfortable discomfort, and getting closer and closer to the light at the end of the tunnel each day.
