As soon as i got there, i was greeted by Ara. He taught me how to be more confident, comfortable and efficient while holding the firearm (9mm beretta ). Anahit was the first person who stayed at the table with him for as long as he wanted and understood how he communicates rather than forcing him to do it her way. Artur and Vahram also work with him and I am unable to say who he likes more as he is equally enthusiastic when seeing each of them. He actually asks about his next session and when they will see each other again. My child actually asks to go somewhere! He is happy. It is the brief description. He talks much more at home, copes with many tasks that were making him upset before. These things may look insignificant to others, but not to me! I am not aware of what they are doing there. But I am sure that I have a different child than the one I brought there on the very first day.

This is an elementary school, not a prison yard. The energy out there feels tense for no reason. There's a lot of yelling, finger-pointing, and attitude. Kids are small. Parents are just trying to pick them up. It doesn't need to feel so aggressive every day. A smile goes a long way. A calm tone goes a long way. Instead of acting like wardens, try creating a space that actually feels safe and welcoming for the kids. And this isn't just about pickup -- it feels like a bigger issue with how some staff carry themselves. Having a degree or a position doesn't mean people owe you anything. Respect goes both ways. Hopefully the principal takes a look at this and reminds the team: lead with patience, not pressure. These are children. The environment should reflect that. Prior to him attending Helping Hands, he was saying his ABCs and 123s but not correctly. He's been non verbal basically and still can't put a sentence together, but now he started saying mom and dad because of this program. They work with him and use different methods and tactics, and also positive reinforcements, that I honestly need to work on. They communicate with me daily to let me know his progress and how I can also help him at home.
