I have been searching for a good groomer for months, really years. I'd see the mobile grooming truck in passing and always said I'd check them out. After the countless cancellations from Petco and the high turnover of employees, I finally reached out to Befur and After. I am not disappointed at all! Murphy gets nervous worth all those dogs barking and crying so that would cause him to be overly anxious. And by the time we would pick him up, he was a wreck and would just sleep without eating for a day or more. Today he got to enjoy being the only pup getting attention. I took my 2 yr old Yorkie boy to have a full groom. Everyone that works here firstly looks like they're on meth or some substance. My dog was to have a bath full body cut and nails trimmed. When I can to pick my dog up 3-4 hours later when they called and said he was ready, my dog still smelled like corn chips and as if they had tried to spray some type of doggie perfume over to cover it. His nails weren't trimmed and they had snipped cut my dog's penis from shaving him. My dog was in excruciating pain and no one at the groomers even mentioned it to me when I initially picked my dog up. I DO NOT recommend this place!! read more

I have been using Befur and After for over 4 years and Jonathan is amazing with my pups. I have 2 labs and a large hunting terrier. One of my labs had severe separation anxiety, but does great with Jonathan. He is a perfectionist and very professional. My pups look great after every visit. We go every 4 weeks. I used Befur and After for the 1st time and I'm very disappointed and concerned for other animals. I have a 1 year old puppy that needs frequent grooming. She is very frightened and has terrible separation anxiety. I explained this to China, the pet groomer. I also told her if she was not tolerating her appointment it would be okay to stop. I hold her her ears have never been plucked so if it too much please don't do it and I will.at home. I told her in the past experience she literally cries out when she is being blown dry. I didn't want her to have more anxiety due to the fact I was trying to introduce her to someone she could trust. I came a little early to pick her up, sat in the car facing the windows to the shop to find China grabbing and pulling on my dogs snoot. From where I sat, it looks ed as if she was frustrated with her. When I came in to pick her up I questioned if she had a hard time with her. She said, "oh no! She was great! I didn't hear a peep out of her." I said by the look of you grabbing he face it seemed you had a hard time? She said she kept looking down and I had scissors and was afraid to hurt her. When I got her home, clearly her ears were bothering her. When I looked inside they were fire red and hot. All the hair was shaved or waxed and plucked...her ears are so red and irritated. I put hydrocortisone inside them as deep as I could. I'm sick about it and this truly makes my heart hurt. I clearly voiced all my concerns on the phone prior to making the appointment and also face to face with China. She completely disregarded my concerns and was forceful, which is unacceptable. I don't believe she didn't hear a peep out of her as she cried out when I used a warm washcloth and gently applied the hydrocortisone in her ears this morning. Beware!!! I won't be back! read more

The absolutely WORST in customer service and care!!! Booked an appointment with Kim for a full groom of my dog, changed work schedule only to be told when I arrived that I only made an appointment for a bath. They then said they would fit her in and after being there for four hours did nothing but bath her, which I could have done at home. Held my dog hostage until I paid. $35 later, nothing was done but a bath. They were RUDE and unapologetic! If that is how they treat humans face to face, I could only imagine how they will treat your pet behind closed doors! read more

Really love this place and hope they treat my babies! We've been coming here several years and have the VERY furry Australian Shepard's. They smell good and look good for many months afterwards. Wow I have to say they are the only groomers that my doggie kids love going to. My fur babies are VERY Important to us. They are as much family as our human kids. We have 3 rescues who suffered enough abuse before they joined our family so we are kinda over protective of them. Animals have no voice therefore its up to us to speak up for them... I took one of my fur babies there about a yr ago and I gotta say I was a little apprehensive because I didn't know anything about them... I was relatively new in GA... So I didn't know where to take our baby Bella. She is a special needs because she suffers from a really bad back. Although shes on medication she needs to be handled a certain way. So off we went and I have to say they listened carefully about Bellas needs. Thats another reason I love Befur & after. They truly take the time to listen and take notes about what you'd like done and any special needs your fur baby has. They don't treat their business as a factory. They don't really send your baby home with any cool collar scarf I guess they may have a lot of clients so that could get expensive. I mean they do put a scarf on your fur kid but usually its just to small and rolls up. So I usually need to take it off. But you fur baby is safe & happy. Thats the most important thing. They do such a great job that you never need to go home and go over their trimming because its uneven etc. The real test is hows your doggie feeling when you pick them up. The first time I picked up our Bella she was wagging her tail and she didn't want to leave. Ive never seen her so happy with strangers. Now every time I pick her up shes Always wagging her tail and happy. I listen to Bella telling me where she wants her mommy to spend mula. Bella says Befur & After are her friends! So far we have added another rescue, her brother Asher, for grooming at befur & After. As long as the kids are really happy we will never change groomers. They are by far the best and nicest groomers read more

We had a wonderful experience with this salon. It was my 6 month old doodle's first time at a grooming salon and they made me feel comfortable dropping him off from the beginning. I'm a veterinarian, so I've seen how things can go wrong at a salon. But when I dropped Meeko off, I wasn't worried at all. And the full cut from groomer, Jessey, was INCREDIBLE! I was blown away because it was exactly what I wanted and he started off so shaggy! We will be returning for sure! read more

I took my puppy for her first grooming at the BEFUR AND AFTER Canton Road location and they did an excellent job. They were especially caring And gentle given it was her first time. I would give no stars if that was an option. I took my dog for a wash and dry. He had a full groom a few weeks ago so he didn't need any other service. I wanted him to look nicer than when we wash him at home. I wanted him completely dry and brushed out. When I picked him up, he looked exactly like he does when we wash him at home and let him air dry- partially wet and frizzy. They charged me $30. I asked for clarification that in fact $30 only covered a shampoo and air dry and they were very adamant that was correct and standard. We are very disappointed and feel like we were ripped off. I don't mind paying, but I want to get what I paid for.To be honest, Sami has never gotten the cut we asked for from them, but he was always neat and well groomed (completely dry and brushed out). I would not recommend Befur and After. They apparently believe they can charge premium prices for substandard service in a grimy location. read more

This location just opened in recent time. I decided to try it out because my dog used to get his grooming done at the same location by different owners and a different name, Wiggly Butts. I went in before my dogs appointment to check the owners out. The young lady at the front ( Catherine) who said she was the front manager or perhaps the office manager. I can't remember specifically what she said her title was but she was nice at the time. My dog was with me so I told her that I didn't want him shaved down for sure because it was the winter time. That was important to me. I dropped him off the next morning a little earlier to meet with the groomer to explain to her that I didn't want him shaved down. The groomer understood and said that she would follow my order. Well when I picked him up, he was shaved. The groomer said it was an accident. She messed up on his cut. I was a bit frustrated. Of course I still paid but I did not tip the groomer and i normally would. Then I called back up there to share my experience with the office manager Catherine but was told she was on lunch. I left a message for her to call me. I never heard from her. I attempted to call back up there that same day before they closed but received no answer. I called the Kennesaw location which i shared my complaint to the person that answered the phone to see if they could pass me along to a manager, owner or whoever that was in charge.. She took my contact info and I never heard from anyone. Although, I had an experience where the groomer and was frustrated, I could tell my doggie was happy. He wasn't mistreated or anything. I always can tell when things doesn't go well with his grooming process because he appears under distress and he is not himself. I wanted to give Befur and After a 2nd chance. I called about a couple months later ( which was today 5/13/2020) and spoke with Catherine. I explained to her my last experience but I wanted to give them a try again because at the end of the day when I picked my puppy up, he was happy! She never apologized or anything like that but just listened. Then I mentioned to her that I noticed that his nails wasn't cut nor grind so I had to pay and take him elsewhere to get that done. I told her that if the nail and nail grind comes with the grooming then I would like it done. She commented that some dog nails are shaped a certain way and you really can't tell if it is done but I explained to her that I know it wasn't done and I know I can always tell when my dog's nails are cut and grind but she was over talking me. At the time when I picked my dog up, she wasn't even there to witness his nails. Instead of her saying, okay ma'am, we will make sure his nails are cut and etc.. she started getting rude. You want to always give business to where you feel appreciated, not where you are treated poorly. Customer Service is very important. They make pictures look great on the website and encourage people to post good reviews but your customer service is wack! I literally told the young lady never mind and hung up. There are a ton of grooming spots all over Kennesaw, Marietta and ATL. I will drive miles and miles for excellent customer service. I don't mind paying whatever or even extra for good service. I was even willing to try them again but if i chose you of all the groomers, treat me how you would want someone treat you. Granted mistakes happen, we are frustrated for a moment and move on but for someone to give you a 2nd chance, appreciate them! This was my experience with Befur & After! read more

I am writing this review as I have tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with the owner. I have left numerous messages both with a live person and on a voicemail, asking for a solution to a complaint. I did not want to post anything negative but I have been more than patient and polite in my attempts to resolve this privately. Our dog was groomed on 4/29/2020 and as a result, ended up with chemical burns in both eyes. He required 3 types of eye drops, 3 times a day for a week. Obviously, we had to foot the vet bill, as well as the follow up vet visit. Add in the cost of the groom and unnecessary trauma to my pup and that's an awfully costly visit!!! It is absurd to think the owner couldn't find time to call or contact me once in the past month! While the grooms have been fine in the past, this unfortunate circumstance and total lack of customer service are why I am giving this place only one star. I cannot in good faith recommend this salon to anyone who actually loves their pet. Look for a place where your pets safety is their first priority. read more
