Levi and I met for a hardwood demo and LVT install quote late last year for our first floor great room. He explained that the old existing white oak (which had aged to orange) in the entry and kitchen was a valuable amenity to the property and that we could instead feather in new white oak into the dining area to match and it would look seamless. I wasn't so sure, but we decided to go for it, and we're so pleased. The 'after' result is simply stunning. I am over the moon happy with the final product. And, I just have to mention that these guys really care and pay attention to detail. They moved appliances back and forth, thoroughly cleaned up, very little dust (which is crazy with the amount of sanding on the old wood floors), they covered furniture and had everything tidy at the end of each work day. There was wonderful communication throughout and I hope to do more work with them in the future.
