I used this service about 20 times for babysitting needs. The app lets you choose from a list of providers to send the job to but that doesn't mean you're going to get any of those sitters, in fact I never once got any of the sitters I chose from. That being said, we had one woman who repeatedly babysat for us and things seemed fine with her the first 6 times or so. Then one day my 11 year old tells me he and his little sister (3 year old) were left in the toy are of target for half an hour alone. Being that kids don't have the greatest sense of time I asked how he was sure it was that long, he stated there was a clock on the wall that he looked at. I asked if the sitter said anything when she left or came back and he said she acted like nothing happened and just asked why his sister was upset (she was getting restless and hungry and my son was doing his best to make sure they stayed in the same spot). He doesn't have a phone so no way to reach the sitter or anyone in this situation. I checked with the store and they reviewed the tape and confirmed the timeframe. Aside from this incident the sitter was late twice, which as I mentioned to the company that normally I wouldn't even bring up but when you pair that with the target incident and other things, it paints an overall poor picture of the services. Another sitter we had (that I had not met before, remember the send you whoever is available and you may not even get to speak to the person before they show up, as was the case with this young woman), let the kids play in the rain on a chilly day and didn't have them shower or anything afterwards. Again, in the grand scheme of things not a huge deal but that's an odd choice to make when it's your first time babysitting for someone. It's not like my kids are used to playing in the rain so this isn't something they would've asked to do normally. Just odd. Yet another time when we were due to have a new sitter she texted me at 1am to introduce herself. Overall for the price they charge it's not even close to being worth it. You're better off finding someone on Facebook and interviewing/calling references.

As soon as we made contact with the Waldorf School of Tampa Bay, we knew that we had found something unique. My son and I were introduced to the school through the Merrily We Meet parent/child classes, taught by one of the most delightful educators you'll ever meet - Ms. Connie. She provides a beautiful introduction to Waldorf education through modeling, singing, simple handwork, puppetry, article/book discussions, and so much more! If you are interested in learning more about Waldorf education, this is such a lovely way to start. I will forever treasure the early days when I was able to attend class with my son! I shared everything I learned with my husband, who did some more research and went to tour the school with me. We saw the campus (it's magical), talked to the administration and faculty, asked tons of questions about curriculum and safety and social emotional well-being, and left the tour feeling so relieved that we had found a school where we felt our son could have the space and guidance to thrive; not just academically, but also physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Fast forward to the end of our son's first year in the early childhood program and we cannot be happier. He is excited to go to school every morning. He has lots of free play inside and outside, circle time, a healthy and hearty organic snack prepared by his teachers, and plenty of opportunities to socialize in different settings - from outside in the sandbox, to inside playing with toys, to around the table sharing a meal. He loves his teachers, and we do too! They have been very helpful in sharing ways that we can support our son's first year in school. We treasure the fact that they honor our son's current stage of childhood and respect him as a unique individual. In addition to our son's day to day happiness with his teachers and classmates, we have learned what it means to participate in a school that nurtures not only it's children, but entire families! We have had many opportunities to become involved in our school community through the parent council and through monthly parent education sessions presented by various teachers. Topics are always inspiring and range from nourishing a child's imagination, to how art feeds science, to creating loving boundaries, and many more. We have felt so welcomed and respected by the entire community throughout our first year as a Waldorf family. And we've learned a lot, too! In summary, my child is safe, well cared for, and respected at his school. His teachers know what is developmentally appropriate for his age and for him as a person, and they guide him accordingly. The teachers, administrators, and parents all support each other and the result is this peaceful, thriving, magical little community beneath the oak trees in Palm Harbor, FL. A place where learners are exposed to rigorous academics alongside the arts, plenty of time to explore and play and move their bodies, instruction in multiple languages, hands-on experiences, and countless opportunities to think critically. And I'm so glad that we get to be a part of it!

Erica in the front office blew me away with her tour of the school. Many of the schools i toured previously were very wishy washy with their procedures and policies. I wanted a place that felt like home, had a respectable kind staff, but had clear expectations and guidelines for my son's safety and care. I toured school with a long check list of questions and all of my concerns were addressed professionally. My son (17m) has been attending since he was 10 weeks old. As a first time mom everything was overwhelming and frightening to start. The whole staff was so helpful and welcoming to start. Bianca and her team made this very difficult transition seem very smooth. I remember on our first day she invited me to call the classroom as many times as I needed. I did my best to focus on my work and trust they had him. She was kind enough to call me. Just to check in and give me an update knowing this was a big day for both of us. Bianca was incredible when it came to difficult things like transitioning to solids, sickness, and developmental milestones. Now my son is in the 1's class and he's learning so much everyday. He can't wait to go to school in the morning. I can't imagine being a working mom and not having this level of care for my son. I feel so fortunate that I found this group right away. Thank you, NHCDS

The ratio of…read morechild:teacher is 6:2- with another floater- the standard, but you can tell that they are overwhelmed. After picking up my child early, I got to see what goes on in the middle of the day. While I don't think this was out of the norm for infant care, I was surprised at what was happening. My child (of 3 months old) along with another child was lying on the ground in the drop off section where people take off shoes and was attempting to feed himself a bottle, absolutely covered in milk. The teachers were busy warming bottles/ changing diapers/ trying to tend to the 6 screaming children. After picking my child up off the ground and cleaning him up myself, I was given previous bottle- still 3/4 full. While I understand that a baby will not always finish a bottle, I was not okay with the fact that he normally would have had 12 ounces by this point of the day, and he'd only had 6 total. I did not say anything to the teachers, as they really didn't have time to chat (they prefer communication via their app). I sat in the parking lot of the center and finished feeding him. He was starving. I have no idea how much he actually drank since he I witnessed him attempting to feed himself. When we got home, he took another 8 ounces. After talking to other parents- they said that it wasn't totally out of the ordinary and that if they didn't have to do infant care, they wouldn't. When we ultimately decided to pull him out of daycare and picked his stuff up, it smelt of very strong cleaning chemicals. If you have to do infant care, this place checks the box, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm not one to post poor reviews, but I wish I would've known what it was all about. So here it is.

I researched hotel nanny services in Tampa and decided to call & inquire about 2 weeks in advance. Cheryl (who I believe owns the company) answered the phone & answered a list of questions I had. She was very polite & professional. (All the nannies have background checks done & are CPR certified). I received a phone call from a nanny about 2 hours later. She was very professional & inquired about likes/ dislikes, ages & medical history of my children. Our situation was a bit inconvenient in that the surgery center had no confirmed time until the evening prior to surgery. The sitter assured me that was no problem & she was available for as long as we needed her & short notice was not a problem either. The ultimate of kindness! She arrived with a bundle of games, goodies & toys to entertain 3 toddlers with for the day. She was warmly welcomed by my 3 overzealous toddlers- who have never had a sitter/nanny. She truly was excited and ready for a day of fun as well! My kids had a Wonderful day! I truly felt confident that my babies were in good hands. I would recommend this service to anyone staying at a hotel that may need nanny services! I will keep them on my list & definitely will use their services if I ever need them. We had a great experience!
