These guys know beer better than anyone else in town and their selection shows it. Fuck that other place. This is the only place for real beer drinkers. That's right I'm calling you out. Middletown doesn't have the greatest supermarkets. And if you didn't know, Walmart has the worst beer selection I have ever seen. Besides the breweries in town, where would a hip young guy/gal find some tasty beer?? The beer king is wheres! I have only visited twice but I have been satisfied with the selection and my choices both times. They even had a beer demo with free samples. And if you didn't know, there's nothing better that unexpected free beer samples. This place has a great selection which I have not fully explored. Buy beer here. Just don't buy Budweiser or some other water like beer. read more

Great place. Really nice people and such a huge selection. We just moved here from Colorado and was impressed with all their options.

Been living in the area for quite a few years and didn't know about this beer store. Has a semi-decent collection of imports \ micros when you walk in the door and also keeps quite a decent selection of micros in the coolers. This place apparently used to do growler fills but that is no longer the case. They definitely have a better selection than what you would find at your run of the mill supermarket. I think this place is called Beer King or something now. I gave it five stars because it is the only store of its kind that I've been able to find in or near Middletown. They stock great breweries like Victory, Weyerbacher, Sixpoint, Oscar Blues and more. Plus, they fill growlers which is amazing. The only thing I could ask for would be more cold selections, but that's a minor issue. read more

They have alot of slections here. Standard beers like Coors, Bud, Heineken, PBR and more. Good microbrews like Longtrail, Omengang, Rushing Duck, Lagunita's and tons tons more. They have some good beers on tap. They do sell some non-alcoholoc drinks as well as cigerettes and other assorted goods by the checkout counter. Give this place a try if you're in the area and thirsty. read more
