I ordered the Scoglio again because it was so memorable the first time, and it was just as amazing. The seafood was perfectly cooked, the pasta was fresh, and the flavors were outstanding. The staff made my birthday feel special with complimentary champagne, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed. Italian by Night continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Saint John. We can't wait to come back!

He was very attentive, we never had to look for him he was always there. A real customer service professional! The rest of the staff was also very helpful above and beyond our expectations. It made for a very satisfying date night for my wife and I. The room was tastefully decorated and the lighting was fittingly subdued for a romantic dinner. Overall the ambiance was excellent. We loved it and it will be on our list of "go to places" in Saint John.

It is a small and cozy restaurant, but it manages to not feel too crowded. I had a simple cheeseburger while my wife had her first taste of poutine. Both were terrific! My wife loved the salty, rich, and comforting flavor of the poutine. My burger was tender and juicy; perfectly cooked all the way through while managing to avoid any unnecessary crisp on the exterior. We overheard a conversation between the waiter and another couple of guests who indicated that they were regulars, and it is easy to see why customers would come back for more. We will definitely be stopping by on our way through if we find ourselves nearby again!

We went here twice once for dinner and once for lunch while passing through…read more For dinner I shared the barbecue sampler with my wife. We chose the chicken, the brisket and the sausage, and broccoli salad and potato salad for the sides. Everything was incredible. My favorite was for sure the brisket with the crispy onions on top. My second favorite was the chicken, deliciously fall off the bone. My third favorite was the sausage. I'm not a huge smoked sausage fan but as far as smoked sausages go these were great. I think next time I would go with the pulled pork. The barbecue sauces were delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly. I really liked the salads as well (especially the broccoli salad, but the potato salad was also awesome). The Diavola pizza was incredible, I love spicy authentic Italian pizza, this was up there with the best I've ever had. You have to try the chocolate chip skillet cookie. I mean if you're a chocolate cookie lover like I am. The beer was great, love the IPA and the radler, and the Italian plum sour which was something different. For lunch I had the brisket sandwich... OMG with the crispy onions and bacon and cheese... TOO good. Also started with the smoked mushroom bacon dip, and had some amazing fries in the side with Chipotle dip. Everything was incredible! Oh, and I can't forget about the pup pretzels, a nice appy and kid favourite. My kids had some classic pizzas, pepperoni and prosciutto and arugula (which I sampled) and they hit the mark. The waiters were super friendly and attentive. I love the new decor and the feel of the restaurant. Much more open and bright and just a lot nicer/updated than the previous restaurant at this location which I had been to once before. Looking forward to going back when I'm in the area again.
