liked it the first time I went here. It's comfy and great place to hangout. Bring some cash and a creditcard that won't be denied.

I wish I had found this place years ago! Nice accommodations and fabulous staff. And of course,…read morethe chocolate chip cookies served warm. I found this gem when looking for a hotel that would allow me to leave my care on the premises until I return. They have a stay and park program that I love. I stay the first night, catch the airport shuttle the next morning, and leave my car. No more paying to park a couple miles away and waiting on the shuttle bus to get there to pick us off or drop us off. When you return from your trip, you catch the free Doubletree hotel shuttle back to your car, get in your car, and leave. No need to check back in with the front desk. The shuttles to and from the airport are complimentary. Just give your driver a nice tip.

The DoubleTree by Hilton in Alsip Illinois is a hard place to review. There are some good things…read moreto note but these positive attributes are outweighed by the negatives. Let me start with the good stuff. The rooms were quite nice. To be honest, this is NOT a 4 star hotel, so do not expect a Ritz Carlton. But the furniture and the furnishings were quite nice and new. The towels were thick and heavy. The toiletries were very nice and plentiful. Likewise, the lobby is nicely done and big enough to handle lots of people at one time. We stayed at the hotel because of a big event/meal and, I have to say the event and food there were really good. The ballroom was nicely appointed and the food was very tasty (a hard thing to do when you're feeding about 300 people). But the hotel event staff ran a tight ship and I noticed a fair number of people going back through the buffet line for seconds. That is a good sign. Okay now to the bad stuff. The front desk staff were not very friendly or helpful. They looked at you, if they did at all, like you were bothering them. Housekeeping was sub-par; slow and they did not really clean anything. The bar and the dining room were also not good. The food in the bar and the breakfast in the dining room were not worth going back for at all, ever! One final thing to note is that the hotel is isolated in an area that is not so nice. Surrounding businesses are not interesting, there are no good restaurants and there is no place to shop if that is your thing. The hotel itself might be worth a 4 star rating here but the negative aspects drag it down to a 3 star review. Do I recommend this hotel? No.

One of the worst nights I've ever spent in a motel. The rooms are dark and depressing and the stink…read moreis off the charts. On a scale of 1-10 I'd put it at a 10 for chemical odor. When I asked about this at the front desk they said all the rooms are the same and it's due to chemical products used by the cleaning staff. Whatever they're using has a particularly noxious odor that feels like it's stabbing at your lungs, making it difficult to breathe. I woke up multiple times during the night just to open the front door and take some deep breaths of fresh air. It's terrible in this day and age that hotel owners don't realize how many people are chemically sensitive, may have breathing/respiratory issues, or just want to breathe fresh clean air instead of chemical stink. If you're odor-sensitive in any way you'll have an extremely rough time at this motel. I strongly advise finding another place.

Got there…read morelate, was already running late for a concert, set out stuff down and immediately left for the concert. We come back at 3:30 am and discover the absolutely atrocity of a motel room we were expected to sleep in for the night. We had no time to book a new room and find a different hotel. Once we notified the man running the desk and asked for our money back we were told no, and that he didn't have authority to do so. I showed him the room and he had said it was "his fault he didn't check the room before we came in" this was not a one time mistake. This dust, dirt and grime was a build up overtime, not an "oops I forgot to wipe down a surface once." Black mold, mystery liquid marks on the ceiling and walls, 6 months worth of dust in the ac filter (not to mention the visible dust on the outside of it), dirty sheets, there wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed only a top sheet, dirt hair and dried up food between the wall and the head of the bed, drool stains on pillows and pillow cases, dust & hair everywhere. I felt like I was staying in someone's personal bedroom, not a clean motel room. Fresh sheets and wiping down surfaces is the BARE MINIMUM expectation and yet there was an envelope from the cleaner in the room asking to "reward for their efforts" asking for a tip. Are you kidding me? What a joke. I should have dusted out the ac filter and left it in the envelope. I could have taken a bottle of windex and a rag and had that place clean in a matter of 10 minutes. It was actually pathetic how neglected this room was. Once we were leaving the parking lot the man came out to our car window and said he could refund me $50 and said to come back next time and he'd give me half off. HA! You really expect me to come stay there again after that? You could not PAY ME to stay in that place ever again. For $150 you could hire someone to detail clean every single room in that place. For that price you can get a nice room at the Hampton. Pathetic and unacceptable. Don't stay here.

It a walled in section that is surrounded by hotels of every brand. This means there are a lot of pilots and flight crew staying overnight. The king room 603 at the end of the hall, was large. You enter the room and see the closet, sofa and desk and you wonder where is the bed was LOL. Turn right is the vanity sink and the toilet and shower is further in behind a door. Then you go around the small partition wall and the King bed is waiting for you. Very comfortable bed. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotel beds but not this one! As this is a corner room there is 2 windows looking out to the other hotel and more parking. The shower was pretty spacious. There is a fairly large gym, and pool but no hot tub. The business center is in a open space right behind the registration desk and has 2 computers and a printer. Unlike other hotels were you need to use your keycard to enter. Unfortunately this also means the kids are down there playing computer games lol Speaking of kids, there was an unusually large amount of kids of different ages and usually only staying a day or two. Turns out there is a sports center nearby where the traveling sports teams come to compete. Our corner room, even with all the kids running back and forth, and the layout of the room meant it was very quiet in our room. :) Breakfast is included if you are a rewards member otherwise you can purchase. Hot buffet style and it was pretty good. The hot foods were: Eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast stick and frittatas. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is under renovation so half of the lobby, and the gym were closed when we visited. There is a starbucks inside the lobby itself, but to be honest it is pretty much limited to frozen pastries and food that needs to be microwaved for an upcharged cost. The location itself is a pro and a con. It is close to the midway airport, that there is a shuttle that goes to and from for free. But the hotel itself is in a pretty bad area. The room we got which was 2 doubles + a couch was pretty roomy and big! The biggest hotel room I've ever got. Still, the room service itself could definitely be better because sometimes we notice they don't give us new towels even if we asked for more.

It came with champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a "Happy Birthday" balloon, and rose petals on the bed and floor--such a romantic and thoughtful setup. There's only so much I can share (and post!) about the room and jacuzzi, but just know: a time was had. Definitely a birthday to remember. The rainfall shower and bench added the perfect touch of luxury. If you're looking for a private, elevated experience--Aura won't disappoint.

I answered her " yes I have the receipt " since it was Father's Day i'd booked the room a month in advance. She then said i'm coming to your room to see the receipt. I couldn't understand what the issue was. if I had not paid then why was I given a room key? I thought to myself... she proceeds to bang on the side door. Which made me even more uncomfortable. I told her my husband and I would bring the receipt to the front desk. Upon speaking to her she then changed her story. She said she thought l'd never check in. Just lying... if that was the case, then why did you tell me to produce a receipt... I was so uneasy, I never went back to sleep. I Left a message with manager Larry concerning the matter. It's been a week and he's never reached out to me. I do NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE reserving a room at any of these locations. I paid over $500 for a night stay and was treated horribly with resolve

From Joanna who checked us in at the front desk upon our arrival, to Wassim who was our server at the breakfast (and offered to make us a fresh pot of coffee), the experience here was excellent. The location was very convenient to MDWairport, the rooms were clean with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was delicious and Wassim was attentive and helpful. I'm not quite sure we will ever be back in Chicago, but if we are, we know where we will go!! One small edit for advice- plan ahead for the shuttle! We requested a 930 shuttle departure, and when we got downstairs at 925, it had just left. The front desk worker said that they'd be "right back", and after waiting 10 minutes, she said they had gone to the airport and would be back for us. The bathroom door made loud noises every time it opened, and housekeeping failed to clean our room even after I personally requested full service and towels at the front desk before leaving for the day. When we returned after midnight, the trash was still there, the beds were not made, and there were no clean towels. I called the front desk several times with no answer and had to go downstairs myself, only to find the clerk having a personal conversation and watching TV. While she apologized, it felt very unprofessional. I was also charged for an $8 bottle of water that we never touched. My husband even said you can buy a 12-pack of water at Walmart for that price. As a Hilton Honors member since 2017 with a Hilton American Express card, I was frustrated by the confusion regarding the "free" water bottles. To make matters worse, guests were partying loudly until 3:00 AM the night before our early flight, making it impossible to sleep. I expected much better service and professionalism from a Hilton property.
