Staff, selection, and variety of prices and options were the best I've seen since moving to Utah. They have all my favorite brands and some new ones to discover. It's Utah so prices are higher than elsewhere, but that can't be helped. I have tried two of their house brand sticks and they are excellent. read more

These guys are amazing! They have the best selection in all of Salt Lake City! They also know their cigars! I cannot wait for my next trip to Salt Lake City so I can go hanging out with these guys and replenish my supply of premium cigars! The prices are awesome! read more

Beehive Cigars - Exhibit X! - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

Great selection, knowledgeable tobacconists, and most importantly the cigars are properly stored and well-maintained keeping the cigar quality. I also like that they are open 7 days a week. read more

Amazing Cigar shop! While I'm not a cigar smoker my buddy who is was very impressed! Small and cozy with a great smell. It's a little off 300W. Look for the Big Cigar sign. read more

This place has a really good selection of cigars and I was surprised by the selection of tobacco pipes and pipe tobacco they have on hand albeit overpriced. That being said, when I walked into the humidor to look at the cigars both employees hovered around or peeked through the window. I suppose to make sure I wasn't stealing. I don't think I look like a thief. I spend a lot of money on both cigars and pipe tobacco. They asked me several times if I needed help....... It's one thing to be vigilant and it's another thing entirely to make your customers uncomfortable. I will not return. 3 stars on selection. Half star on service. Would not recommend. read more

Beehive Cigars - House blend sticks - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

Very good selection of cigars with a knowledgeable, Friendly staff. I'm from Texas and the same brands are cheaper than in Utah, but that is to be expected in every state. I still recommend buying your sticks here because of the selection. read more

Great Service, very good selection of cigars, always find what i need at this shop. Best place in SLC to get your cigars.

Local dudes who run a great shop. Always willing to answer questions. Lots of flake and leaf to choose from, great selection of all things pipe/ cigar related. Got set up with a new pipe and accoutrements in one visit. Thanks guys! read more

Great spot with terrific selection, service was fine and the price was fair. Location a bit out of the way and unfortunately due to Utah laws you can't smoke at the cigar shop but that's not the fault/responsibility of the business. read more

In the state of Utah, beehive is the cigar shop. Beehive has an amazing selection of cigars as well as pipe tobacco. But it's not just the selection that makes beehive a special place it's the staff and their level of patience, knowledge and friendliness. All you have to do is walk in there a couple of times and it will feel like you've known the staff for years. If you're new in town or you're just visiting don't go anywhere else, go to beehive. read more

Everyone there is fantastic. They treat you like family. Selection of cigars is hard to beat in Utah they have a lot of boutique cigars while also keeping up with legacy brands. Beehive Cigars is a hidden gem to say the least! I first heard about it from my former roommate who was a cigar cones-our or however you say it! In lay mans terms "cigar snob" like coffee snobs, there are most certainly cigar snobs and that is not a bad thing in the slightest! You can find some amazing be light candle co candles stocked here and would love to be able to stock up some more for these wonderful people! The tobacco candle we have flew off the shelves here. I'm not sure if any of the whiskey candle we have is left or not. The tobacco is a best seller same with grapefruit and mint and sea salt and orchid! read more

I've been frequenting Beehive since they were down the street near Costco. It's a nice shop with an excellent selection and pretty good staff. The one thing that bugs me is the "we're pretty sure you are going to try to steal from us" vibe you get. I am in there often, and it seems they are trying to create busy work in the humidor, regardless of whaat they were doing when you came in. Under the guise of "we're here to help" is a stalker vibe. Kind of off-putting. read more

Great selection and extremely helpful folks work there. Prices were very reasonable. I will be back next time I'm in town!!

I purchased cigars as a gift. The store carries a huge selection of cigars which was overwhelming for me but the Staff were friendly and helpful. They also carry a nice selection of cigar cutters and cases. read more

Great selection. People were awesome inside. Pretty cool joint. Would definitely recommend.

Had no idea SLC could be so liberated. This is not only a great lounge to enjoy your hand rolled sticks, but a well stocked humidor as well. They carry most of my favorite cigar brands as well as some hard to find labels. In particular the Senorial line by Jose Blanco. Staff is excellent and friendly. The shop has tons of cool hardware, too. Humidors, humidification devices, cutters, lighters, etc. all high quality. It costs $10 to use the lounge part to enjoy your smoke, but that is waived for purchases over $30. This is a BYOB establishment. You can run across the street to the state controlled liquor store and bring back a beverage to enjoy. How perfect. read more

Stopped in to enjoy a stogie. Apparently, their lounge and liquor offerings were closed down due to local law changes. Nevertheless, they had a very large humidor with a great cigar selection, along with a few nonalcoholic beverages to purchase. If you need alcohol, then you can visit the liquor store across the street. They have benches out front to enjoy your selections. I had a very enjoyable 20th anniversary Perdomo and great conversation with a couple other patrons. The shop staff were very helpful, and happy to assist in selections. Definitely worth a visit and I will be back. read more

I can not say enough good things about this place. The store is WELL stocked. And the employees are super knowledgeable and happy to give recommendations. Every timeI have been in here I've had great conversations with the staff. I'll be back soon! read more

I want to highlight one employee particularly, Jimbo Taylor. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be a patron at Beehive. This guy is like the Neil deGrasse Tyson of cigars. I have never seen someone have so much love and passion for what he does. When I walk into that shop, and I am uncertain of which cigar to go with, Jimbo walks me through, not only his recommendations but the education of why that particular cigar is as good as he claims. Jimbo is a genuine soul. That man has a good heart, and if he ever leaves Beehive, I am following him wherever he goes. This dude is so valuable. He is a national treasure. read more

Best experience ever! I went in looking for a buddies birthday gift. Not knowing much about cigars and being treated very badly at tinderbox i wasn't sure how this experience was going to go. I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as i walked up to the door the workers jumped up and asked how they could help. They both looked through the store and gave me some options and ultimately a great deal. Very friendly very helpful and just down to earth nice people. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air. Ignore the pun. If i ever need cigars or supplies again this will be my first stop. You guys were great! After going to tinderbox i was scared that the cigar world was just full of ornery old men but you guys proved me wrong. Thank you! read more

Amazing selection! I travel a fair amount and have been to cigar stores all over the US. Beehive has the broadest secretion I have seen. Not only many, many makers but many vitolas and blends within each brand. Yeah, the Utah sin tax is a bummer but not the tobacconist's fault. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be back on a future SLC visit! read more

So this a fantastic cigar shop. It is not a cigar lounge. Make sure you read this, because if you are like me, you don't always read the dates on the reviews. As of February 2022, because of SLC regs, you can't smoke there. However, that humidor is off the charts stocked. Their house cigars were good especially for the price. I would give this five stars, but I was expecting a lounge. read more

**there is no lounge anymore at beehive. The walk in humidor was really nice and the staff was also courteous. What was a drag was finding out there is no lounge anymore. I'm in Salt Lake City for work and felt a cigar would be nice. When I asked where the lounge was I was told they are no longer allowed to have them in SLC. Having just taken a Lyft there from my hotel this kinda sucked. Definitely not the establishment's fault though. I just wish it was clearer on the yelp page and their website that there is not a lounge. Pictures and reviews make it appear that there is. So yeah. No lounge at beehive, but an excellent selection of cigars. read more

This is a quiet small cigar shop with fine brand name cigars in a well kept walk in humidor. Also have some house special cigars that are a great value. Bonus, great liquor store across the street. read more

Fantastic selection. Knowledgeable staff. Terrific events and promotions. A "must stop" cigar store.

Amazing cigar and loose leaf tobacco store. HUGE selection and they know their cigars. If your a amateur like me they will walk you through it. If your an expert they can help ya in any way possible. Thanks for all your help and teaching me info I didnt know. read more

Small shop, hipster heaven. Looks like they might have okay selection. But, they aren't letting anyone far enough in the store to make an affirmative assessment. A shop that doesn't let you peruse the humidor probably has something to hide. Old cigars, bad smells, etc... it's not a pandemic thing because other cigar shops have their humidors open. Won't be back. read more
