I highly recommend BBC for your event needs. I like to start any request for business with independent research, I read reviews looked at pictures and it all tracked. I was able to arrange my order through a combination of text, email and phone. I considered exploring rental options such as chairs and popcorn machine but settled on food services only. I was offered some advice based on the size of my party and I'm glad I went with the recommendation. The food arrive with plenty of time for setup (provided by BBC) and a thorough rundown of how to handle food throughout the evening. My guest returned to fill plates multiple times. The food was both plentiful and great tasting. I will definitely use this delivery catering service in the future. I hired Beefalo Bobs to cater my wife's birthday party. They provided the tent, tables and chairs. The tent was ruling enough, my neighbors were asking where it came from. Beefalo Bons set up in my back yard a couple days in advance leaving me time to decorate. They delivered the food, setting up a BBQ buffet in a chaffing set then left, since I didn't hire serving. They delivered exactly what was requested and we had a great party! Afterwards tear down was transparent the next weekday. The food was very good and included smoked Pit Beef, Beef Barbecue, smoked turkey, and smoked ham. Roasted mixed vegetables were truly amazing, macaroni and cheese, salad, coleslaw, delicious rolls and corn bread. The portions were plentiful enough we packed leftovers out with our guests and still had enough for several leftover meals. Made is pretty hassle free, Michele obviously knew what she was doing and had a quick solution to every problem that came up, as we had to make alternate plans due to weather. We were looking for a delicious BBQ caterer for our wedding in May 2013. We had shopped around a few places and there seemed to be 2 camps, the just ok but familiar with catering; and the super great mom-and-pop that you couldn't get to call you back and didn't seem to understand how to cater for anything over 20. We saw some reviews on another site for Beefalo's and we thought we would check out their restaurant one Ravens-playoff Sunday afternoon. Boy were we in for a treat! First of all, their restaurant location is nothing to write home about, but don't let that deter you. Once they set up those tents and served us a pit beef sandwich, we knew that this was the place. The sandwich was amazing, their BBQ beef is the best I have ever had (I like it slightly sweet and saucy), the sides were really good and the drinks were strong and plenty of them. (bonus was the super-pumped Ravens fans that packed the place) The guests at our wedding are still raving about the food. We were only disappointed that we decided to leave for our honeymoon the day after our wedding, so we didn't get to enjoy a week's worth of Beefalo Bob's leftovers. One caveat: We had purchased 16 oz glasses for our party and the bartender that we hired through beefalo's was pouring them full to the brim (I like to call it "Baltimore" style) not sure if our guests needed 16 oz pours of bourbon or wine, and there wasn't a single bottle of Jim Beam left after the party, but they all had a stellar time soooo ...... :-D I can't comment too much on the staff other than to say I hardly saw them at all, I had a coordinator taking care of the day-of and I didn't hear about any disasters or mishaps. The party seemed well organized and they definitely knew what they were doing when they arrived. A few other recently-engaged couples at our wedding mentioned they might go with them as well. We had a luncheon at work and my company used Beefalo Bobs as the caterer. When they said they were getting BBQ I just knew it was going to be from this other place that they normally order from. Quite frankly, I was getting tired of the other BBQ spot but hey I was getting free food right, so I guess I was just going to deal with it and eat. When I went into the conference room, the food didn't look like the other BBQ spot, so I was relieved. There was a spread of Salad, Pit Beef, Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, Greens, Mac and Cheese, Baked Beans and more. The Pit Beef, greens and mac and cheese were pretty good. They had very fair pricing. The food was great. We served all their carved meats. The mac-n-cheese was amazing, as was the shredded beef (a little too much BBQ sauce) but still very good. We provided our own chafing dishes because they wanted to charge $100 (we spent $15 at party city..) There hasn't been a review here of Beefalo Bob's Catering in over 2 years. I'll surely give one as a guests observation. Seems a lot has changed in 2 years. Went to an outdoor picnic over the weekend catered by them and they seemed to be behind the task 10 steps throughout the whole event. Crabs were supposed to be served before dinner and they were not. Dinner was laid out a solid hour (with the crabs) too early, before even all the guest had arrived. No mallets for the crabs. I'll repeat, no crab mallets for the crabs. Guest were banging crabs with tree branches found on the ground. No paper towels. Finally, at some point plastic bundled 5 x 5 paper napkins arrived at the table but by then crab junk was all over us and a 5 x 5 dinner napkin isn't going to do much. Slow delivery on the crabs (eat, stop, wait, eat, stop, wait). No table clean up. There were dead carcasses, trash, etc. still all over the tables when the event ended 4 hours later (2 hours after people stopped eating). One person at the meat grill, cooking, carving, serving so there was a constant backed up line. Fruit platter was full once then sat empty through the whole event. No one seemed to be in charge. Completely unorganized. Certainly not enough staff. There seemed to be no catering experience and there certainly was no leadership onsite. Amature. Food was good (really good) but delivery and presentation was a complete chaotic disaster. read more

I had originally reviewed with a 1 star rating as Beefalo Bob's Catering refused to cater our same sex wedding with the reasoning that they could not guarantee a supportive staff. Beefalo Bob's saw our initial review indicating their refusal to cater our same sex wedding, researched the emails/interactions we had, and reached out to us to apologize. They indicated the employee we were dealing with on our proposal no longer works with the company. They also assured us that they do not discriminate catering same sex weddings and have done several in the past. They also asked if there was anything they could do to make up for the mistake. I truly appreciate that they have repeatedly reached out to us to apologize and to let us know the employee in question is no longer associated with Beefalo Bob's. I amended to 3 stars as I can not rate them on their catering as I have still not used them and because the refusal did mar an otherwise amazing experience. However I am happy they made efforts to address the situation. Given their repeated gestures to apologize, I like to believe that our experience was an anomaly and that they have taken measures to instruct their remaining staff that this is not their policy. So had Beefalo Bob's cater a wedding recently (sept 20 2020). Tent set up (which was through them as well) was great and have no complaints other than had to hassle to get a tent provided for the food that was in the contract. After much discussion they said you will get the 12x12 tent for food. A little pop up tent arrived. I can overlook one thing, but then we ended up running out of most of the food, plates and plastic silverware. All the reviews said how you will have plenty of food leftover so very disappointed. We upped total early on from 18 to 24 and think they only provided for original amount. But we also added wine and champagne glasses and the number provided was correct. So obviously no one could take any home, which we had bought containers specifically for. I would say everyone was happy on the taste of the food, just not the amount. Not trying to rail on them, but we were simply overcharged on what was provided. The planning aspect was a good at first but then became sketchy after we made our deposit. Issues we presented were dismissed and thus he we are. We had to pay extra for chafing dishes for the food which should have been included in original cost. Great reviews when we were looking, but did not live up to our expectations for a once in your lifetime event! Buyer beware read more

The staff was great, but late. Food was not served until 25 minutes after scheduled dinner time, pit beef, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob were not served until after everyone had eaten. Fresh fruit was not maintained through the first serving. Macaroni and cheese and baked beans were, at best, room temperature and tasted cool when I ate them. Maybe not heated yet? The sample food and the food at the restaurant was fantastic but they failed to deliver for the 72 guest event. Many guests questioned our wisdom in using them. I've asked for the manager to contact me to explain, we'll see if he follows through. Manager, Matt called right after I posted this. He was very apologetic and wanted to make it right. He handled it very professionally and I will do business with them again. The whole problem had to do with the staff's late arrival. The food that did get out in time to eat was great and included pit turkey, pit ham, BBQ beef, salad, BBQ chicken and several other items. NEVER again will I use Beefalo Bob's for my catering needs...when I set up the contract for 100 people - Sat. 7/14/18, (Pit Beef, Pit Ham, Pit Turkey, Beef BBQ & sides) I was led to believe ALL the left over meat, sides, etc. would be sliced and wrapped and left with me...I specifically asked for the 'ends' of the meat for the dogs...I was assured the leftovers were mine to keep...well that didn't happen...the servers put the leftover meat, ends & all into a bucket and took them...so Monday morning (7/16/18) I called to questions this and was told by Michelle that the only food we keep was what was physically on the buffet...** the meat was sliced to order** the meat actually gets taken back to them because they make their BBQ with it...REALLY??? so that means MY BBQ was made with meat leftover from someone else's party...EWWWWWWW...sounds like a health code violation to me...that meat sat out for 3 hours and they will use it to make BBQ for another party...this also means my meat was paid for my me and now will be sold to some other unsuspecting host...wonder how many times one brisket gets sold...I did call the health department and they DO NOT allow this...so when searching for a caterer DON'T use Beefalo Bob's unless you don't mind using someone else's leftovers...thankfully no one got sick from eating re-used meat...absolutely DISGUSTING!! read more

Michelle was our contact there, and she was wonderful to work with. She always kept us informed and up to date with anything and everything we might need to know. The day before the wedding, there was an issue with our chosen beer being out of stock, and she informed us right away, was honest and professional and resolved the situation very much to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail went above and beyond with their willingness to include our own personal recipes for some of our reception food!! Which brings us to the food: I would say "holy cow!" But, we had a pig roast and what a pig it was! My now, wife, and I, have high expectations being in the food industry, and all those expectations were met, if not surpassed.
