During the summer it is easier to spot as they have tables out door to sit, during the winter there are only three tables on the inside, that everyone sits around, even next to strangers. Another clue you have come across this place are the three large chalkboard menu's on the outside, one devoted to their salads, another to their vast burger list, and the other for everything else. I have had this place bookmarked to try for sometime, ever since I heard they serve fish and chips. It is not common to find places in Switzerland that serve good fish and chips, so when you find a good one, it is a treasure find. My husband and I had a craving for fish and chips which is why our stomachs led us here. As the place was crowded we befriended a stranger and shared his table with him. The owner was friendly and let us bring our dog in the cramped space as well. We waited while the owner fried us up some fresh chips and fish, and I watched him make the tartar sauce by hand. It was a good thing we were hungry, because the plates were heaping with yummy food. The fish and chips were the best I have had in Switzerland, and the tartar sauce made my all time top 5 favourite sauce list. I will definitely be coming back to try one of the yummy looking burgers. It also helps that the service is friendly, the owner also speaks English which is a bonus, and he is very proud of his special little place. He was sharing with us that most of the furniture is from a previous restaurant that was there and is over 100 yrs old. TIP: bring cash as they do not accept credit card here. Note: No alcohol is served here.

I know I've written a review about Luc's hamburgers already, but today we went to his shop and…read moretried the fish and chips. The "chips" are just your basic frites rather than thick cut steak fries, as they're called in the States, but the fish and tarter sauce are the best we've had around the greater Geneva area. In fact, aside from the fries, Luc Mallet's fish and chips beat Paddy's Pub, Pickwicks, and Jim's British Market coming and going. Really good! The only thing that would make eating at Luc's Les Arcades perfect (i.e. five-star) would be, being able to have a pint with your food. Other than that, this place is really fabulous!

After weeks in Italy, and a 12-hour train ride into the Rhône Alps, we arrived in Annecy, France. The hour was late. We were exhausted. And we were craving an American staple...Salty. Fried. Heavy. Greasy. Something. We were desperate for it. Salt is used sparingly throughout Italy besides in sliced meats. Our tastebuds and systems weren't acclimated and we needed the flavor that can only come from heart-gripping sodium. In walks Le Milton Pub in the heart of Annecy's old town. It happened to be on the lower level of our VRBO rental, so convenience was a factor at the late hour. I'll give you a minute to judge our unsophisticated palettes. I've judged myself just as harshly if not more when I picked an Irish pub in the heart of the French alps. But...Le Milton delivered in the best ways!! Totally Francais Steak and Frites for me. Fish and chips for the kiddos. Pina coladas and a glass of French wine to polish it off. Le Milton turned out to be the best blend of French/Irish pub food that left us so satisfied, we went back again the next night. It was packed around the clock. There would be plenty of time for pate and duck dishes. Le Milton won this round.

I would go here again, however, it was very busy and I found it a bit confusing and unorganized. I…read moredid order a Pizza to go which was AMAZING. I had just walked 8 miles and I was exhausted and craving an ice cold pina colada like back in the states. It was WONDERFUL!
