Two friends and I rented scooters from Moto & Go for a week trip around Spain. Honestly it was…read morepretty much a disaster from the start. First they confirmed their pricing to us in $$, but when we got there they charged us in Euros; which cost us $40 more than the confirm. If you squinted and looked at the small print on the agreement you could see they could do that - but the confirm was in $$. So we started off with an unexpected $40 surcharge. Next they were unable to provide one of the scooters promised (a Peugeot Satilis 300) - they said one had been stolen and they didn't have another to replace it with so instead provided us with a 3 wheeled Piaggio 400. Heavier, less maneuverable and a gas hog compared to the 300s. We had no choice so we took it. The scooters were in general in terrible condition. Scratched, banged up, literally had duct tape on them, holes. As we walked around the scooters to complete the scooter condition section of the rental agreement they said to every ding / broken part "we know, we know". We then took off; very quickly one of the scooter's starters stopped working stranding us in a small town. The 800 service # worked, the guy showed up and said, yep, the starter's broken. His solution? He gave us a 2x4 and showed us how to bang on the starter housing while someone hit the starter button until it started. So off we went again with our handy 2x4 strapped to the back. Needless to say that wasn't going to work for a week+ of riding in Spain. They had a 300 Satelis at their ofcs in Malaga, so off we went to switch bikes. We picked it up in Malaga (and this one was beat up even more than the others if that's possible) took off, and within 40 minutes the new scooter overheated! Yep. So we called them; of course they had no more Satelis's and said we could come back and take a Piaggio 400. We added water to the Satelis, waited, it cooled down and we decided to roll the dice w/ that scooter and continue on; now without the 2x4 but with a large jug of water. At this point we had lost two of our planned 11 days of riding. The scooter continued to overheat every couple of days, causing delays and unplanned stops. Finally a few days before the end of our trip we noticed the tires were bald on two of the scooters - yep, they gave us scooters with tires that were at the end of their life and not capable of getting us through our planned 13 day trip (11 days of riding). So another scramble, another detour, another day lost getting tires replaced. When we got back to the Madrid the guy there basically said, tough luck. We're not making any concession for your difficulties, after all he said, "it was hard for us too." Unbelievable. Save yourself a lot of anguish and do NOT rent your scooters from these guys. There are plenty of choices in Spain. Do yourself a favor and find another vendor. You'll be glad you did.

IMTBike Madrid...Excellent from start to finish. Just…read morereturned from a 10 day rental (self guided) from Madrid up to Biarritz, FR. My son and I both had BMW F750GS. Mine had only 4k km on it, his had 40k but both were excellent. Nicely optioned, and in perfect condition. The shop is located on the outskirts of Madrid, makes a nice launching point for any tour of Spain. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and set us up much more efficiently than any other agency we have worked with. They were also understanding and efficient on turn in. I had dropped the bike at about 1/2mph and banged up a case and brake handle. The charges were reasonable, and not outrageous like most car rental firms would have been in EU. They include insurance, and roadside assistance in every rental ($2k deductible), no surprises or extra charges. The new BMW bags are great and also included in the price. All in all, probably the nicest bikes, best overall rental experience ever. Highly recommended. (Previous trips include renting in Rome, London, Bali, Lisbon, San Francisco).

We did an IMT Bike guided motorcycle tour of Morocco in October, 2023. IMT runs a nice operation…read more Their guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and multi-lingual. The motorcycles (in our case, BMW GSs) are well maintained. Morocco was a mixed experience for us. Some of the scenery was breathtaking (the Sahara); some was depressing. Moroccan roads are generally in excellent condition. It is evident that the country is trying hard to attract tourism - perhaps too hard. We found the people of Morocco friendly, but constantly trying to sell you something. Many of our planned stops were at, what I would describe as, tourist traps - full of trinkets and hard-sell tactics. Our two down days were spent on optional tours of local markets and areas of interest. Our guides for those days were described as local "UNESCO Volunteers" who would give us "authentic experiences". It was apparent that they were affiliated with the leather, rug, and spice shops that we toured, as we received very high-pressure sales tactics from them and from shop personnel. I found this uncomfortable and disappointing - not what I signed up for. Lodging was good, but not up to western standards (ie poor air conditioning, cleanliness, had to purchase bottled water, some rude employees). The local Riads were indeed authentic, and we enjoyed the experience - it was the larger hotels that lacked. My one other criticism would be the riding pace. Some of us felt it was too fast. I've been riding for forty-five years and consider myself competent - even expert - but we were riding two-up, and were in Morocco to tour, not to race. We always felt rushed while riding. That said, the guides were (again) very good - likely the highlight of this tour.
