I went to Viva Dental, and for some reason, they kept finding cavity after cavity, even discovering new ones last minute while working on my teeth. I was advised to get a second opinion by my family but hesitated--and I regret it. To make matters worse, the X-ray was not done properly by the dentist. After working on a tooth that was perfectly fine, I developed a painful toothache and severe irritation. I went back to Viva Dental twice, and all they did was keep drilling into my tooth without fixing the issue they caused. On top of that, I paid an $1800 deposit for an overpriced Invisalign treatment that I've decided to cancel. They refused to refund me and lied, claiming they haven't received all my trays because they're sent monthly. Do they think people are stupid and can't verify this information? This clinic is nothing but a money grab, with completely unethical practices. Now I have to see a periodontist to fix their mess, and I'll have to wait until next year to get proper treatment. It's clear they only specialize in treating children, not adults. The whole experience has been a nightmare and I will have to dispute every single thing with both insurance and my bank. Stay far away from Viva Dental. CRIMINALS, I have a family full of medical professionals, so please find someone else to fool. We waited an hour in the lobby before being taken to the back. After they took X-rays, we were left sitting in the room for two more hours, with no communication from staff. We watched other patients come and go while multiple employees walked past us without so much as a simple, "We're sorry for the wait," or an update on when we'd be seen. After three hours, the only thing that had been done was the X-ray. When we told the front desk we were leaving, the response was a flat, emotionless "Okay, that's fine." My girlfriend has been in serious pain for weeks, hoping today would finally bring her some relief. Instead, we left feeling ignored, frustrated, and heartbroken. She walked out in tears. I have a lot of dental issues so I've been to at least a dozen different dental practices in the DFW area, and this experience was by far my worst dental experience. I rarely leave reviews but I just had to- hopefully it'll save you time and gas. I came here yesterday for a 9am appointment. Due to traffic I was about 15 minutes late, which actually was a good thing since they were running really behind. I wasn't seen until about 10:10am. The staff led me past the front door to be weighed, which I've never had done at a dental office. I could understand if I were a pediatric patient or were going to get a procedure requiring anesthesia but I was there for a cleaning. Why do you need to weigh me?? After that, they sat me down for dental x-rays right past the front door, so anyone walking past the waiting room into the clinic can see you with a device in your mouth. Out of all the dental offices I've been to I've never seen this setup, x-rays are usually (and rightfully so) in a more private area. Not a huge deal to me personally but still odd. After x-rays I was led to one of the exam rooms which was not in good shape. Stains on the wall and ceiling, cords coming out of the ceiling just hanging out, just overall- not a pleasant place to visit. All the staff was nice and pleasant, especially Dr. Towson, so I'm giving this place 2/5 stars but overall it was a terrible experience and I will not be back. I ended up leaving in the middle of my appointment because everything was taking way too long.
