    How adorable is this place?!!

This space is just the absolute cutest and the woman in charge is the absolute kindest and friendliest soul! She comped a bottle of wine because I'm a teacher, and the pinots are just fantastic. Just look for her cute little car out front! Hot tip: follow her on Instagram and check out her cute cooking videos with her husband!

Stopped randomly since we had time to kill before our other reservation. Ali and Andy are personable and informative. They have variations of wine that aren't as common. Very generous and allow you to taste multiple wines, we tasted 10+. We fell in love with the Pinot noirs and snagged two bottles. Andy was grilling and they offered tri tip sandwiches, unfortunately we had just gone to lunch. She still provided cheese to snack between the wines. They also have a wine membership package. Overall loved how homey they made you feel. A big plus, they are flexible and accommodate smaller events in the back. Will be back!

Quaint wine tasting establishment with a nice patio area. Only downfall is the patio is located street side so it's a little noisy. The owners were very warm & welcoming and spent time describing the different varietals to us. We also got to visit with their 3 doggies while enjoying our tasting out on the patio. We were given a generous selection of different wines based on our preferences and tastes. They definitely have a large menu of wines to chose from! We enjoyed all the ones we tasted and left with a lovely bottle of 2018 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley to enjoy with our dinner.

The cutest patio to enjoy these delicious wines!

A must-stop winery in adorable Boonville! Especially, if you are looking to experience quality Anderson Valley wine. A variety of whites, and gorgeous single-vineyard Pinots and Syrahs. My favorites were their Grenache and Semillon. Ali and Andy operate this small winery business, and they are just amazing people. Busy bees for sure, as they put their heart and soul into it.

Stumbled onto Bee Hunter on a recent trip to Mendocino and I'm smitten! Outstanding wines. Thoughtful owners. Can't wait to come back.

Bee Hunter is a new place in Anderson Valley with lots of wine varietals. Hubby and I came during white wine weekend and got to try two different Sauvignon Blancs and Chardonnays (they had one low elevation and one high elevation of each kind), one Semillon, and one dry Riesling. We ended up buying a bottle of their Anderson Valley Chardonnay to take home and enjoy. Bee Hunter is super dog friendly. Our dog was welcomed inside the tasting room. In fact, they even had two different kinds of dog treats to choose from (organic duck or green veggie)!

What a fun time we had at bee hunter! You can tell they love what they do and are committed to high quality products as well as sourcing local goods. We had a blast with this very approachable tasting. After experiencing Paso Robles, Napa, and St. Helena, this was a welcome experience to add to the list. You will get so much information on the local climate and history as well. Cheers, until next time! Thanks again to Nick!

Such a fun and comprehensive tasting. The wine list is so long, everything is available, and there's something for everyone.

When I first heard that they were known for their Chardonnay, I slightly cringed. Chardonnay is probably my least favorite wine and in my mind, I initially thought that the wines here just weren't going to be for me... and then, there was Michelle. I have to give it up to Michelle! She was super interactive and entertaining. She totally proved me wrong by exposing me to a Chardonnay that was actually tolerable for my taste buds! As soon as she took the bottle out, I noticed that a few other people cringed right along with me at first. She mentioned that she loved pouring this for red wine drinkers who aren't into Chardonnays. She poured me their 2013 Family Chardonnay which was unusually light with a minimal amount of oak. It was probably one of the only Chardonnays that I've tried where it didn't taste super oaky. She explained that this was due to their use of steel barrels for aging. I have to say, I was really impressed. How could she get this Pinot Noir girl to actually like a Chardonnay? Not sure how she did it, but she did. Not saying that I have converted, but I am definitely way more open minded than I was before. Their 2013 Grand Reserve Syrah tasted phenomenal! It was bold and in your face which a bit of a kick in the finish. I can definitely see why their Syrah was award winning. They also make jams here and I believe that one couple actually purchased one. The tasting room is lovely! It's filled with antique furniture and vintage artwork that gives the room a very retro feel. Michelle's father was also an artist and his original pieces can also be found in their tasting room as well as on some of their wine bottles. They have a shaded outside deck that can be used for lounging outside, but it's pretty small and has limited space for only a few people. Michelle does a wonderful job in educating and entertaining her guests at the tasting bar. You can definitely tell that she is a natural at what she does. I would highly recommend wine tasting here if you are in the area and if you like Chardonnay and Syrah!

So much so, that I actually preferred their white wine selection over their reds. Yes, indeed! Philo Ridge Vineyards is a cozy tasting room located in downtown Booneville right off of Highway 128. They offer a variety of different wines including Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and so on. The tasting room itself is smaller than all of the other tasting rooms that I went to while wine tasting in Booneville. However, I could tell that this tasting room was extremely popular amongst the locals by how busy it was. Unfortunately, it can get a bit cramped and this is what happened when I arrived for my tasting. Nevertheless, the majority of the wines that I tasted were exceptional! Let me just say that Jill is an absolute Doll! Although she was basically swamped, she was able to assist us with a smile and poise. Her vivid descriptions and passion around the wines that she presented really shined through. I feel like it made me enjoy the wines even more. The cheese bread that they were serving didn't hurt either! I didn't get the name of the bread or even what cheese that it was made with, but it tasted yummy even while cold. Now to the best part... those wines! I tasted their 2014 Ferrington Vineyard Gewurztraminer, 2014 Nelson Vineyard Pinot Gris, 2014 Nelson Ranch Viognier, 2012 Marguerite Vineyard Pinot Noir, and their 2011 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. I'm a love of Pinot Noir and although I liked the Pinots here, I wouldn't exactly call them my favorites. As I previously mentioned, the standouts here were their lovely whites! The Pinot Gris was light and fruity with the most fragrant pear aroma. I also really enjoyed the Viognier which had a very enjoyable floral taste with delicious notes of peaches and apricots. However, the torch goes to that Gewurztraminer! YEEESSS! Gimme some more of that goodness, mmm! The tropical fruits and crispness could be tasted from start to finish. If you love wines that are light, crisp, and full of floral and tropical notes, then this wine is definitely for you! It's the perfect wine to sip on a warm summer day. All in all, I wouldn't mind coming back to Philo Ridge to do another tasting. However, I would try to go during their off-peak hours to get a more intimate experience.
