Serendipity! Purely by accident -- we were looking for a business previously at this location -- we walked in to discover owner Silver who is a beekeeper (or apiarist) and sells Honey out of this location. Go figure!!! I had recently been thinking privately to myself that I wished I could buy local honey. The key here is LOCAL because when you eat local honey what the bees harvest has allergy and other health benefits unique to your local region or community. You cannot find any produced on the other side of the country that will be as good a match as your local honey to what you need in your diet. Anyway, my first question was, "Which of these jars of honey are ones you produce yourself?" And then we started sampling them: sage, wildflower, buckwheat, Honey with Pollen , and more. I asked him where his hives are located and he said way out west around 140th St. West. In addition to jars of honey, you can find beeswax candles, beeswax soap, and more. The one disappointment was that - as you can see in my photograph of the empty shelves - he was completely sold out of honey with pollen; this is the really good stuff that helps fight your allergies and assists with health, I thought it had an interesting and slightly funky taste, and was terribly disappointed when I could not buy a jar. I guess other people know good stuff when they see it, too. Anyway, this sort of local producer deserves to be supported, so stop by, make a purchase, and let's help him develop a thriving store in what is a very difficult business. Stopped in today and got myself a jar of Buckwheat honey. I discovered them outside of the Poppy Reserve during the bloom last year. I was a little hesitant to visit the store front, as I'd read about Mr. Sunshine. But there was a rather nice and patient lady tending shop today. I'm only mad because I didn't bring enough scratch with me to pick up one of the mondo-size wax bars by the door. Oh well, gives me an excuse to come back next time I'm in these parts. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!! The old man that works there is by far the most rude person we have ever met. If I could give the store negative stars I would. We went in with my 4 year old to look for some honey because I'm sick and pregnant and can really only take tea for my cold. This guy was so annoyed that we made small talk wit him and literally said "you are asking nonsense questions" all We said was "wow, it's so quiet do you get a lot of customers?" If I could give this place a negative 10 I would... My friend and I went in there for the first time and the owner/associate was incredibly rude to us. My friend tried asking him a few questions about the honey and he was very short with him. We looked around for about 5 minutes with the intention to buy some honey before he tells us, "Times up or you're loitering." My friend and I were perplexed and left after he said this to us. We walked a few steps outside before deciding to go back inside to confront him. When we came back in and asked what he meant he basically treated us like we were criminals because we were looking around and said we had no intention to buy anything. How do you buy products if you can't browse around??? This is the WORST customer service I have EVER received. I came here for the reason that so many others do - because I wanted to purchase honey. There are now large hand-written signs that say, "No loitering" and "No browsing." As soon as we walked in, I was a bit disappointed that the small selection. A woman emerged from the back and asked if she could help us. I explained that I was looking for some honey, but wasn't sure what I wanted so I wanted to look around. She seemed annoyed. I was hoping to find a variety to purchase and asked if the displayed jars were the smallest they offered. I received a very curt "yes." My daughter asked me (loud enough for the associate to hear), "I hear that if you eat local honey, it helps with your allergies." I replied, "Yes that's what I've heard also" and looked to the associate (who was staring at us) for affirmation. She didn't respond at all, but just continued to appear impatient with our intrusion. We looked around for about 2-3 minutes (which was all it really took to see everything) then selected a wildflower honey. As I approached the counter, I saw the "cash only" sign for the first time. I made my purchase - was not offered a receipt, a bag, or even a thank you. As we left, my daughter said, "I don't think she wanted us in there." Yep - that's the way I felt too. Horrible customer service. I was just taking my daughter to the Farmers market and I told her about a place that has honey candy,she was excited so we walked there...100+ degrees with my 6 yr old. I needed a variety of honeys to sample before a necessary 2-gallon purchase for cookery purposes. Stopped into Bee Honey yesterday, got small jars of clover, wildflower, buckwheat, sage, avocado, ginger, moringa, cayenne, jalapeno, habanero and orange blossom; also turmeric, to try on arthritis.. About $265 cash total. My partner and I did a taste test and rated "wonderful" the orange blossom and wildflower, and "excellent" the ginger and buckwheat. Sage was nice. Garlic tasted mildly garlicky, avocado didn't remind us of avocado much, moringa tasted exotic. Cayenne, jalapeno and habanero cleared my sinuses, and how! Today I bought a gallon each of orange blossom and ginger, about $200 cash total. read more

Went into this store on Christmas Eve with the intention of possibly buying some honey for my daughter (who recently started loving drinking tea), and the owner was very rude. I've never been in the store before, owner asked if he could help me, told him no just looking, thank you. He responded, no looking-just sales.
