This place doesn't know how to treat kids properly.They call police on a 5 year old kid saying he has some toy gun at home. They didn't even notice parents first! Terrible management. Fast forward to my daughter leaving in 7th grade. That's eight years she was with Bee Best! I feel like I need to post this before summer in case someone is searching for a summer camp. Don't come here. My son used to come here for after school program and he loves Ms.Tess and he was a very happy kid and that's why we sign up for the summer camp. However, after 4 weeks now, he said he doesn't like Bee Best anymore because Ms.Nancy and Ms.Itzel are so rude and mean. I think they just hired random college kids to in charge of the classroom. They have no patience and do not know how to handle a kid besides yelling and scolding at them. My son enroll in the summer camp but he came back everyday said he cries in school. 1. They don't teach anything new. When my son told the teacher he doesn't know how to do the worksheet, the teacher ignore him. So as a 5 years old, he copy someone else's homework, then Ms.Nancy yell at him and he cries 2. My son was playing with another kid and they both play roughly, the other kid got hurt and cry. Ms.Itzel yell at my son and he was crying. 3. My son was sharing some painting materials with other kids and other kids were adding too much paint and Ms.Nancy yell at them for wasting too much paints 4. My son's friend signed up for another summer camp and they happened to bump into each other in the park. Ms.Nancy told my son that his friend skip to the next grade level so he's not in Bee Best, which I know it's not true. Why does she have to say that? 5. One day, I was telling my son that as he gets older, he will be taller. Then he said "no! Ms.Nancy said sometimes it's the other way around. You don't always get taller" he sounded so serious. Okay, why? Imagine putting 40 kids in a big classroom with college kids as supervisor. I think your kid deserves something better in the summer. read more

My child attended Bee Best a while back and still has emotional trauma from the way she was treated by students and teachers. The director did absolutely nothing to correct or mitigate the bullying and discrimination that my child experienced. I've talked to other parents who have told me that nothing has changed. I did not find it to be a nurturing or supportive environment. For my child, it was not a safe space. read more

I was very impressed with Bee Best initially. Their programs and facilities are quite nice. We especially like that they offer Chinese classes. We know many parents who speak very highly of them as well. We did hear a few note that there are some newer alternatives that may offer better child/student ratios. Unfortunately our child, who is set to begin Kindergarten in the fall and had zero experience in classroom environments, didn't mesh well here. And staff told us repeatedly that their class size means they cannot be more supportive of such students. Our son became sullen and withdrawn, and began acting out in ways indicating it just wasn't working. Indeed we mutually agreed we wouldn't be bringing him back there for afterschool either. We don't mean to suggest there is anything wrong with Bee Best. But before committing your little one here, it is worth considering whether they will integrate well considering class sizes and whether they are already familiar with the expectations staff have for students... especially younger children. read more

My son who's in K has been with Bee Best since the beginning of the school year. I wrestled back and forth between after school caree options and I am so glad we chose Bee Best. The program is well-run, super organized and I have been so impressed with the director - Director Jing and all of her staff. My son comes home speaking and singing Mandarin and talks about all the projects that he does. They group the kids based by their age so I have not heard of stories of him being bullied or picked on. The staff seems really connected and patient with the kids. Everything is communicated crisply clear with emails and director Jing is always available by phone or in person to answer any questions or address any concerns. It impresses me that she knows everyone's name!!! Ms.Joana who picks him up from Jensen is kind and warm. My kid lovessss her. Lastly, it has been a God sent for full time working parents like myself. They're open on days that the school is randomly closed at no additional cost and stays open until 6:30pm. This convenience and flexibility has helped us tremendously. I love the space, the balance between homework, Mandarin, projects and outside time. I am very happy and can't say enough good things about Bee Best! read more

I have been sending my daughter to Bee Best Learning Center for 4 years since Kindergarten and she will be in 4th grade this coming Fall. I'm happy with the service and care that Bee Best provided to my daughter. I really like Ms. Jing the Director - she always has a big smile everytime I met her and never failed responding to my questions or concerns. The main thing I like about Bee Best is they are really making sure the kids need to focus and finish their homework. They also have workshops with a fee like drawings, arts, math, dance, keyboard and etc... Plus their tuition is reasonable. However I have a feedback for the teachers/tutors that they need to explain better on the Bee Best's works/problem sets which they provided to the kids before let them do it. I noticed that my daughter did not understand the extra work problems before she did it. So she often did it incorrectly. Also I would expect the teachers to really pay attention to every kid by offering helps and go around to check each kid's works/homework instead of the kids need to go seek for helps. That is the only thing that Bee Best needs to improve! As of today I can say that I will repeat sending my kid to Bee Best and you won't find any better after school program than Bee Best in Castro Valley. read more

I tried contacting this business to get information for tutoring and the woman on the phone who was the director, promised to call us back. 48 hours go by and no return call, so we called again. Someone else answered and had no clue about anything and wouldn't even take our name and number down for someone to call us back. The first impression of a business is crucial for potential customers and this place told us they were too busy to care, so we found another place in Castro Valley who was wonderful on the phone and we're going there tomorrow for our first appointment. I'm actually glad it turned out the way it did because Bee Best was not the best and they showed us how they run a business. read more

My son just finished 2+ years at Bee Best. He would continue on for many more years if we weren't moving out of the area. I have been continuously impressed by Bee Best's level of professionalism and the quality of the services they provided for my son. They offered my son a safe, caring, intellectually stimulating, and fun environment. He attended after-school care as well as full-time during the summer months. His level of academic engagement was much higher than my older children's experiences at other, local after school care programs. Bee Best supplemented what he was learning at school. The teachers did a great job of providing fun activities for the kids in a safe environment. The staff are all very attentive and kind with little turnover. You can tell the staff are treated well and enjoy what they do. We did not experience any negatives. The director, Jing, is extremely attentive and organized. She greets you with a smile in the mornings and evenings and keeps everything running smoothly. The hours and days open throughout the year are favorable for working parents. Throughout the pandemic, I felt my son was safe and well taken care of. We utilized their after-school transportation and never had any issues. The driver was very reliable and friendly. I couldn't think of better people to be there for my son when I couldn't. I hope we can find a place like Bee Best close to our next school. read more

The reason why I gave this a lower star is because I went there when I was younger and I had some bad experiences. I still remember one time when I was there I was playing on the computer and I said," What the heck!" And for saying that I got kicked off of the computer and I was pretty pissed. Another time I was trying to use the restroom and my friends were trying to use the restrooms too, and I tried to walk in the restroom and my friends were going in after me. As I was walking in a teacher saw me and my friends go in and assumed that we were going to mess around in the restroom. So the teacher came up to us and grabbed me by the shoulder and pulled me out of the restroom along with my friends. Then the teacher said u guys shouldn't be going into the restroom without permission. but the teacher outside said my friends and I could use the restroom and my friends And I got in trouble for "playing in the restroom". But I guess everything else was normal so yeah. read more

Finding a business that not only meets, but far exceeds your expectations is a happy surprise. I placed my granddaughters in this school for their summer program because I wanted to make sure they continued their education through the summer and were as ready for school in the fall as they were when they finished in June. The staff really goes the extra mile to make sure every child receives the individual attention they need to excel. I am thrilled with the choice I made and I am sure to repeat next year. read more

It should be zero start if Yelp allow me to do so. It is very horrible place for your kids with cheapest price in town. My kid had several head injured in this after school due to this center do not have enough and qualify staffs to supervise all the kids. Another kid ran into my kid when they were playing in the play ground of that center, my kid felt down to the cement floor and had skull fracture and brain bleeding. Finally, my kid was sent to ICU due to critical situation. But this center was smart enough to state they are language heritage school. For language heritage school, they do not need to have have enough staffs and qualify staffs to be with yours kids by state law. And therefore, they escaped from their penaliaty and their fault. I guessed lots of parents do not know about this which including stupid me. Loving your kids and your families , never send your kids to this place. There is not garuanteen safe environment in that horrible place. read more
