We got in very late so thank goodness there was someone at the lodge to keep us on the right path to the cabin! Cute little place, two full bedrooms and baths. Fill washer and dryer and very nice sized hot tub. The cabin and its workings just need some TLC to make it a GREAT cabin to rent. The views off the deck are amazing. If it were my cabin I might take a chainsaw to a couple of the trees right off the back deck to open the grand vista there could be of the ridge. All said we're loving our time here and will be back! There is a big selection of drinks (frappes, hot chocolates, coffee) -- and my frozen mocha was wonderful. There have a huge assortment of gourmet chocolate bars, pastries, and cakes. YUM. Truly, so good, and not like anywhere else around for miles. It's a perfect spot to get together with friends or family. There's a play area for little toddlers, a huge back deck with brand-new furniture and plenty of well-shaded tables. The back yard would be a great event venue. Thanks, hope to be back soon!

We saw a flyer for the Inn posted on a board near a spot where we climb and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The couple who own the Inn, Mai and Dustin, are very sweet, talented and welcoming. They've worked hard to create a beautiful space out of what looks like an old motel. The rooms were designed by Mai and are modern and spacious. I'm guessing the room used to be 2 motel rooms made into one suite. We stayed in the Paris room. It's quite large with a separate sitting area (where we put our gear), and a huge bathroom. The wood floors were convenient for when we came in dirty and didn't have to worry about keeping carpet clean. Also, there is a large screen tv with Roku and Sling TV so you can just click an app, put in your own password and watch what you want. The bed was comfortable and we took advantage of the jetted tub every night which felt amazing on tired feet. They also have organic soaps made by a local person that were wonderfully pleasant. And the room has a strong WiFi signal. When we arrived, Dustin and Mai greeted us with small chocolate candies. They were delicious. They live next to the Inn and are very attentive. In anticipation of breakfast, I told them about my food restrictions which they easily accommodated. Mai made the breakfasts, which were well done and generally were an egg dish, fresh fruit or yogurt with fruit, a pastry of your choice and a drink from the menu. We ate outside on the back deck (we could have also taken our food to our room) and sometimes chatted with other guests and customers. Everyone was friendly but not overly invasive. We also learned more about what Dustin and Mai have planned for the future for the Inn and it sounds very exciting. They're a lovely couple with great vision and the effort they put into their Inn shows. Oh one other thing... we casually mentioned on our second day that we were celebrating our anniversary. That evening Dustin and Mai unexpectedly popped by our room with the most delicious mousse cake. Such a sweet surprise! We had just eaten and thought we couldn't stomach anything else, but when we took our first bite we couldn't stop ourselves from devouring it. Seriously delicious!!

We had three families staying at the same time and there at least two beds to spare in every room. Not to mention the three couches down stairs. The place had some of its own board games so the kids got to learn a few new games like pool, mancula, and apples to apples. There was a fire pit,hot tub, and a pretty nice grill out side. The whole place was built on a ledge that overlooked the tree filled hills of the red river gorge region . There was also a huge wrap around porch. It was cool but be careful leaning on the edge there might be a few places it's weak. Draw backs... there really weren't many. The first draw back was the place is set up a long steep stairway. It looks small until you are trying to bring your groceries and suit cases up it. Still it's not a big deal if you aren't elderly. The other draw back was the shower, it had a little mold in the corners but over all it was a spacious bathroom with towels and working facilities. We have decided we will be returning to this place and we hope it will be as great as this weekend!

While staying at Quiet Waters for an interview with Jonathan Hicks. I was asked to assist with…read morelaundry. I ended up picking up BED BUGS from either the laundry rooms or the cabin. I noticed they use a tennis ball with Lavender Oil for fabric softener. Lavender Oil is used to keep bed bugs away! I also noticed mattress covers wrapped in plastic. This was a red flag and unfortunately I ignored being so excited to have this opportunity. I still accepted the position not knowing how bad the bed bugs were! I moved there in August 2020 where I AGAIN picked up bed bugs. They were even in my car and the rental trailer I leased. I purchased pesticide and worked very hard to get rid of the bed bugs. I am highly sensitive and allergic to bed bugs. I was bitten inside the cabins when cleaning. I tried to come to some kind of agreement for preventative measures with Johnathon Hicks. He had my internet connection turned off then pretended he didn't. Even telling me to unplug and reboot KNOWING it was disconnected. I was 16 miles off the grind all alone with no connection. I had to drive in town to make a call to him. He told me to call their advocate Sharon Keefe to talk the issue over regarding the bed bugs. He told me to call her that day bc she was leaving for vacation the next day. He told me to go back home and unplug to see if I would have a connection. Again, while he ALREADY knew he had it turned off. So I went back to town to call Sharon when he sent a text saying he knew Sharon already left for vacation and they hired someone else! I have NEVER known any employer who would be this cunning and DECEITFUL. Why not just tell me instead of lying and having me run around. He did it on purpose! What immaturity! I was devastated! I had to move again after uprooting my life for this job! I moved back and ever since been fighting bed bugs since August 2020! I have now lost 3 beds and couches and so much more. Jonathon Hicks has denied any issues with bed bugs and completely ignores me. I now have a visible manifestation of the bed bugs. They have spread from the basement (where my br is) to the upstairs. BEWARE of bed bugs and take preventative measures. They do not effect everyone the same. But with people like me who are very allergic are tormented by bites.

Each individual got their own thermal spa, which is a tub at 120°. There is a pond and a cold plunge tub, sauna and shower. You're offered robes, towels, shower, citrus body scrub, herbal tea which is locally produced not for sale and a massage table where you can use tools and oil to give massages to one another. One way in and out of camp site, Private parking lot, no restaurant on site this is a pre planned event hosted by owner. Great customer service, Daphnia gave us a brief history of the area. We will definitely visit again. The campsite is conveniently located about 20-30 minutes to Natural Bridge State Park and the famous Miguel's (restaurant). There's gas stations along the way.
