I was told "we don't care, we have hundreds of positive reviews so yours won't matter" but I'm leaving this here anyway, because maybe it matters to one of you. We were very disappointed with our recent stay at 4 Guys. We found the park to be poorly managed and the staff rude and unwilling to follow their own policies. We called before booking and asked about the procedures regarding moving from one site to another. We were told that since checkout is at 11, we shouldn't have a problem, and when we asked for a late checkout to be sure they told us they would be unable to grant one since someone would be coming into our site the next day. When we checked in I again reminded the staff person that we would be moving sites, and asked if the person coming into our site had paid a lock fee. She told me they had, and that we shouldn't have a problem moving at 11 on our day of switching sites. When we went to move sites, we waited for a half an hour past checkout to see if the person in our next site would leave, before finally checking with the office, at which point we were informed that they had given the person in the new site permission to stay until 12:30. They did not communicate with us about this, so we had already pulled our hookups and slides, leaving us in limbo. In talking with the staff the first staff person at checkin had actually lied- the person coming into our original site did not in fact pay a lock fee. We suggested that the solution would be to simply move them into the site we were supposed to occupy but they said they do not enforce the lock fees and that no one pays them, but that they didn't want to inconvenience the person by asking them to move. Furthermore they said that while it says checkout is at 11, it's really at 1, since they don't enforce people leaving their sites until then. They used this repeatedly as a justification for why we shouldn't be upset about having to wait for the person leaving our site to be back. To be clear, we were mostly upset with their poor attitude and lack of communication- simply calling us and letting us know would have resulted in a much more comfortable situation for two hours. That said, in over 5 years of RV travel (3 of that fulltime) we have never encountered an RV park that admitted that their site lock fees are irrelevant and that checkout can be between 11 and 1, not 11 as their paperwork's states. They finally did call the folks coming into our site, but instead of simply informing them that they had to move, they just asked if they'd be willing. The person was hesitant and said she'd have to call back, so we all waited awkwardly in the office. One of the office ladies agreed this was her fault, but then said my "negative energy" was preventing her from effecting a solution. I was understandably upset about the situation (which was derailing our plans for the day and making the extra night we had paid for irrelevant) and made that clear, but was also respectful while being insistent that something could be done, they were just refusing to do it. They continued to complain that the new owners switched over to campspot and that they hated the new system. Appropriate customer service would have been to simply apologize and follow their own procedures, which state that they can move someone if they done pay a lock fee. They could have offered us a discount, a free coke, something, not complaining about their boss and their computer system. We said that if they were unable to find a solution they could just refund us and we would leave, and they saidwe would still be out the $10 reservation fee. I told them this would result in a negative review, and they replied "we don't care, we have hundreds of positive reviews so yours won't matter". We have been repeat customers here but will never again stay- and I strongly urge other RV owners to look at other options that care more about your business and satisfaction than the "negative energy" that gets created when they make a mistake they won't fix. read more

We did not pay the lock fee and we got bumped from a pull thru site to a tiny back in site. the site was very narrrow and not level at all. We could not fit our 45 foot toy hauler in the site and they did nothing to accommodate us. Some one paid the lock fee for other site and it bumped us out. We had to leave and go somewhere else. Nice price for what you get! We arrived on a Tuesday for a four night stay and found the park nearly empty. Maybe 15 to 20 sites taken. Since it is a weekday stay and close to school going back in session, we figured that was the reason. The route to get here is pretty easy from the Slade exit. I wouldn't think twice about getting a big rig in here as the roads are pretty good. We're currently traveling in a 22' RV, so just about every site is friendly for it. The campground itself has plenty of amenities. Free WiFi (not super fast, but okay for email and surfing) and an available upgrade for about $4 a day. We did the upgrade but still couldn't manage to stream TV consistently. The regional digital channels are plentiful and there's also a 24/7 streaming radar of the state. This place is super clean! There are some SUPER NICE people that run the place and we're very helping with providing tourist maps. Great swimming pool, bath house, and bathrooms. The setting is very pretty. If we had any remotely negative things to say about this place, it would be that you can hear trucks on the highway occasionally. With that having been said, you're still just a few miles from absolute wilderness and some of the best geological formations in the world. We will be back, and I imagine it will be for several more visits. read more

My husband and I are new to the RV community. 4 Guys RV is a great place! We enjoyed our stay here and will be back again. The area is in the middle of the hills and so beautiful. The staff is exceptional. They accommodated us on everything. There is a laundry place, a pool, snack bar and a place to shower. I would take this place and any day of the week. read more

Clean and quiet park. We stayed at the end of March and it was not busy. Pool wasn't open yet. There is creek that runs through the property and some sides back up to that. Nice touch. Office has some t-shirts and other things for purchase. $8 bundles of wood. Clean, well maintained, Gravel lots. Coin laundry Small little shack that had games and some toys for little kids. Stocked small pond my kids loved fishing at. Miles away from Natural Bridge state park A few restaurants within 10 minutes. We had Miguel's pizza (that whole place is it's own vibe), ice cream and Mexican. There is a coffee shop too. The town of Stanton is where we got groceries. It was about 10 miles away. read more

Excellent stay here at 4 Guys RV Park. We came in with our pop up and stayed 4 days. Sandy and her husband are wonderful people. They are kind, helpful, cheerful and accommodating. The sites are level and easy to get into. Water pressure was great, picnic tables are like new and we love the fire pits! There are 4 private bathrooms- clean and spacious. The other campers were respectful of each other and willing to help each other out. We didn't bring any kids but the ones who were here had a ball at the playground, basketball courts or riding their bikes. We were 15 minutes from the Natural Bridge and 5 minutes from Nada Tunnel. We arrived mid afternoon on Sunday so I wasn't surprised there wasn't anyone at the check in. I did call to verify my spot. Water pressure was minimal the entire 4 nights. The 5 toilets were clogged have the time. However, the laundry was really cheap and the pool was very clean. The park was well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. read more

It's only about an hour from Lexington and minutes from Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. As you're driving down Mountain Parkway, you will see the campground and the signage just before you get to the exit. It's on the Gorge side of exit. There are several campgrounds in the area, but I'd say that this one is nicest. They just opened this Memorial Day weekend, so the grounds, bathroom, pool, etc are new. Newness also means a lack of trees, so if that's your thing or you're in a tent or a pop-up and in the hot summer heat, be prepared and know about the lack of shade. We booked last minute, on a Saturday. We were able to get a pond side spot. I'm pretty sure that all of the spots have water, electric and sewer hookups. I don't think that any other nearby campgrounds have sewer hookups. In other words, this place is more of an ideal place for an RV. The sites are level, graveled and each have a fire pit. The pool wasn't complete when we were there, so one of the owners gave us a few dollars off, that was a nice surprise. I rarely give a 5 star review for campgrounds, mainly because there are so many facets to make up a 5 for them, but this one was impressive every way that you look at it. read more

We loved it here. Close to everything in the Gorge. Our site was #36, right by the little pond where young boys enthusiastically caught turtles and fish. They were fun to watch! We stayed here for 3 nights over our Spring Break. We didn't have great weather - a lot of rain, but the sites were high and dried. Very laid back check in & everyone we met was very nice. We didn't use the bathhouse, but my brother in law did and said they were very nice. Pool wasn't open yet, but it looked nice. 14 year old son said it was the best Wifi he has had at a campground, which is high praise. Close to everything in the Gorge & full hookup! read more

The campground is very close to Natural Bridge State Park. The sites are well maintained and the property is very clean. The bathrooms are very clean as well. The pool is clean but fairly small. Best part was how quiet the area was. read more

Weekend stay for my sons wedding. We have a 40' motorcoach and we had a lot of trouble getting leveled, actually never did. Not too many sites are level, site 43 had two slopes which made it even more difficult. If we ever stay there again we would request site 1. Someday in the near future will be a nice RV Park. Just needs a little work. Pool seems to be brand new and clean, they have play ground equipment for the kids and a fishing pond. read more

This was below ideal. We stayed there knowing it was "under construction" but overall, it was just nothing special. No great views, the roads themselves were rocky so not great for bikes, not kid friendly, just overall kinda boring and nothing special. We LOVED the area and hiking that Red River Gore area had to offer and we'd come back again for those reasons but we wouldn't stay here. read more

Really liked this place. Friendly, accommodating staff. Fairly new so no tree coverage unless you tent camp down by the creek. Easy to find. Clean facilities. Wifi was in/out. But not a deal breaker. Will definitely go back in the fall to see the foliage change. read more

We just arrived, and our first impression is not positive. We've been traveling for about a month and have stayed in five other campgrounds. 4 Guys is by far in last place. We have a 33' 5th wheel, and we barely fit in the site described as "spacious". There is no green space between sites, which are so jammed together, we can hear EVERYTHING the neighbors are doing. At our assigned spot (#31), we couldn't identify parking for our vehicle, even though it was advertised as having room for up to two. The sites are so sloped that it was impossible to get the rv level, which is really hard on equipment, such as our refrigerator, and stabilizer jacks, and makes sleeping uncomfortable. I'm glad we only booked for two nights. We will pass on this rv camp the next time we are visiting. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights because we couldn't get a site in the State Park at Natural Bridge. What a surprise plus for us. Nice camping site. Plenty of room to get our Travel Trailer into. Bathrooms were so clean and up-dated & everyone so friendly. One draw back was the sound from the Parkway traffic. However, we didn't have and any problems with it when in the Trailer. Very nice campground. Nice owners. Nice Pool. All sites full hook up! Sites are gravel but, it's very new so, maybe they will pave it later. Sites are wide and not too crammed together. Campground is quiet. Fishing pond. Shade trees are immature because the campground is new but, there are beautiful trees/hillsides around the campground. One of the owners came over to our campsite to ask us how our stay was. The staff was all very polite and professional. We would highly recommend this campground. read more
