The owner buffed out two scratches on our car (the scratches were NOT caused by the car wash) and chatted with us for an hour. He was funny, kind, and did an incredible job. TERRIBLE CAR WASH - CREEPY OWNER AND STAFF. The owner and his staff STARE at you while you wash and vacuum your car. Then, on top of that, one of the staff will check the trash can when you throw your trash in the can. It is so weird and unprofessional. Here's one that's pretty straightforward. Yes, it's another "drive on up, pick a package, and a pass on through for a wash" type of place. Best of all, it's conveniently located on the way home from my place of work. Bonus! The thing that caught my attention was the ultra affordable prices compared to other carwashes I've been to. Still no sign of a monthly membership though. That's the thing I don't get about New England. Either I'm going to the wrong carwashes, or they really enjoy charging folks by the individual wash up here. Anywho, the only reason I can't QUITE rank this place as top-notch is because of the vexing fact that their vacuums still require you to use quarters. Well...most of them. There was one that I *think* took cards. But all the rest looked like some archaic vacuums yanked straight from the 80s/90s era. How retro. I really do not understand these carwashes' reluctance to embrace digital transactions. They can do it for the actual carwash. So, why not all the vacuums as well? Outdated vacuums aside, this place is fine when it comes to getting the car cleaned in a jiffy. I'm giving Bedford Car Wash 4 car vacuums in desperate need of an upgrade out of 5. read more

I want to be able to put my hand out the window without dodging the leftovers of a bird's lunch. The weather is nice now, plus I have a road trip coming up (and I like to have some wax beforehand). Going through the car wash there were two things that stood out: First, the speed was a little on the fast side, second, the sequence was was a little different than other car washes I'd been to. I didn't have caked on dirt from an off-roading trip, so as far as I could tell, the car ended up being clean. You do have some people at the entrance get your car ready by pre-soaking with those large brushes. However, I do not believe they offer towel drying as part of their service. No big deal though, as I did not have an issue with water spots. One thing I wasn't thrilled about is the waxing. I understand something applied at an automated tube is not the same as a hand-detailed wash. Still, wax should make water bead up and roll off. Testing this on my hood revealed no such effect, The price of $15 for "The Works" is competitive, with a price like that being ever harder to find. read more

Wheel washes are an additional $3, but worth the price. With winter snow and salted roads, this place is a quick stop to get my trucks cleaned. I think this car wash is pretty sweet. The workers and owner are extremely pleasant. My SUV comes out about 9 out of 10. The key is to go when they are slow so the car wash track is running slower. You get a better clean that way. "The works" plus wheel cleaner and tire shine is currently $17.00. Not bad considering it takes me about $10.00 at the spray and wash to get filthy and wet myself. I like this place, I'll continue to use them. I guess it really depends on what town I am in. read more

Great place to get your car washed. It might look old from the outside but everything inside is TOP NOTCH. I have a brand new Silverado that I wouldn't bring anywhere else. For 15$ you get the best car wash around and it comes out better than having a person detail your vehicle. On top of that the owner is phenomenal, great personable guy who always interacts with his customers and treats his employees like he would treat his own children. I go here twice a week and the service they provide is consistent which is very hard to find. I will hands down never go to another car wash. read more

We just drove down to have both our cars washed - mine in reasonably good shape, his a minor disaster. I sailed thru, waiting at the other end for his car which seemed to have gotten lost along the way. Cue Jeopardy music here. Eventually, out comes his car looking wonderful! Turns out, the guys spent extra time getting much of the tree residue off the car (and btw, there was no one behind us to be delayed by this extra attention) and they even said the car could be run through again if he wasn't happy. No problem, clean car, happy guy, ecstatic wife. We didn't want to bother the guys with the minor dot-size pieces left behind. They really need to be chipped off and certainly we don't expect anyone but us to do this. The car glistens now! Oh, and I didn't mention...all of this, and this was their "Basic" service. Stopped by on a Monday at lunch time. Overall fine - my car is clean. I bought the extra $3 wheel cleaning and my wheels are better, but not completely clean. There's also no shiny tire effect. There was no one to dry my car on the way out, which may not have been intentional. The car was pretty much dry but I noticed a plastic cover on my rear wiper that I assume would have been removed if someone was there to dry. I usually go to Somerville car wash, and I think it's better. read more

They totally scratched my car up. And I don't mean little scratches, I mean long lines of missing paint scratches. And I can tell its from the car wash because the scratches are patterned like the movement of those brush things. Both sides and the hood. It was inexpensive, yes, but in the worst way. Got a deluxe wash. They rushed so much to get you in, they didn't even really pre-scrub off the front of the car. Going through the wash didn't even remove the bug splatter on the front bumper. I would not recommend going here for a wash. read more

Got a book of four The Works washes. Finished the last of the four vouchers today. The worst car washes i have ever had. Barely spent 25 seonds through the wash process. I normally like going here. Do not go on a Saturday! It's so busy, they speed up the conveyor and do not prewash like they usually do. I went today and my car is still half dirty, like soap and water completely missed a quarter of the car. They didn't bother to put on the protective sleeve on my back wiper like they usually do. I've been going here for a couple of years and they are nice but a good wash can be hit or miss. It depends who they have working and how many pre scrubbers they have. For a good rinse of grime and dirt it works great but don't expect a real wash or removal of hardened dirt. Tip, don't pay for Deluxe wash, save yourself 2 bucks, i have yet to see the tricolor foam. read more

Went there today and I will warn you that the menus are hard to fathom quickly and you cannot see them until your car is about to enter since they face in that direction. I suggest you do what I did which is to park and walk out in front of the menu signs (on poles). Here is a tip...If you want your alloy wheels done you can add that service option for $3.00 to any wash. For example I got the basic wash for $9.00 and added the $3.00 wheel wash. Remarkably both my tires and wheels came out quite clean indeed. They have something called "Wheel Brite" but that is more like a $5.00 add on and I think to get that you may need to buy a book of 4 coupons for $20.00 to add "Wheel Brite" to any wash you want. The "Works" is $14.00 but it does not give you the wheel cleaner or "Wheel Brite" so be forewarned. Digest the menus first so you don't feel like a dummy when talking to the entrance guy that way you know what to expect. This is a "Touch" car wash so if your a bit nervous about that be advised. I will say that none of the brushes were felt by me (some car washes actually seem to move your car sideways (gulp)). They advertise "ALL Soft Cloth" which is good. read more

Attendants have zero customer service skills and totally devoid of personality-only spoken words are usually a mumbled 'car in neutral, foot off brake'. I've been going to the Bedford Car Wash for years and know what to expect (they provide drying towels at the exit but they don't dry your car for you nor remove the wiper cover). I have always found them to be pleasant and the wash is better than what I have gotten in other places. read more

I used this car wash this morning on the way to work from Dracut to Newton and I was happy with the friendly staff. The regular wash is 9 dollars a little steep compared to a cheap place like Haffners but for the 9 dollars the crew does a great job of prepping the car before it goes through to make sure its totally clean. Additionally as a clean car buff like me appreciates they have towels to wipe down the car at the end of the wash. All and all when the weather is nice I would use the car wash regularly. read more

I have been a customer of Bedford Carwash as long as I have been driving a car. They have NEVER damaged any vehicle of mine. I wash my car weekly and have always been greeted by friendly, smiling, helpful employees. (TO-if you washed your car more than once a month, you may have noticed the damage on your car when it happened, rather than blaming the carwash!) Well, I live in Bedford so this is very convenient for me. I usually get the basic $9 wash and am happy with the results. It's a no frills place and I already know that there is no one to dry the car afterwards or to take the plastic off the rear wiper but it still beats washing the car myself! Most of the time the workers are nice and informative but some are better than others. That's ok too. I'm always satisfied with the washed car. Haven't used any of the other services. read more
