TERRIBLE school. They are not inclusive and lack support and adequate staff to ensure all children's needs are met. I'm a Bedford mom this review is from both personal experience and word around town- a lot of people talk about how much poorly run this "school" is. My daughter has attended Bedford Academy for the last two years. My son just finished kindergarten at the school. During the time they have been at the school, their academic proclivity has substantially increased. My son is able to read through most short books, despite not being able to read before starting kindergarten this past fall. My daughter has grown exponentially and has developed close friends as part of her first and second grade classes. The school academic program is excellent, and has greatly sped up my children's education. I would highly recommend this excellent academic school and in particular have seen them grow under the tutelage of Ms. Julia and Ms. Kelsey. read more

We are just finishing our second year at Bedford Academy and couldn't be happier. The directors, teachers, and support staff are all so friendly and truly care about each child's development. The independent learning path is so unique and has helped my son thrive academically. The extra-curricular activities change each trimester and my son has loved learning golf, cooking, coding, and soccer. I cannot recommend Bedford Academy enough. My daughters have been in school there for 2 years now and they are doing fantastic! The hands on learning makes it so much more interesting and easier to grasp certain concepts. Academically they are both ahead for their grade, a true testament to BA's personalized pathway learning. My kids are happy to go to school and sometimes don't want to leave! They are safe and nurtured at BA. Their summer camp is fantastic too! My daughter has been attending Bedford Academy for 2 years. She has made huge strides since then, thanks to the devoted and caring staff! The teachers and curriculum are bar none to schools around here. Prior to Bedford Academy, my daughter was attending a another private school, which she was just a number. She's quiet, introverted, and was overlooked there. Now at age 4 at this school, she is excelling in her fine motor skills and starting to read. It is the individualized attention she receives here that has made all the difference! This is a school that values the child as a whole! We chose Bedford Academy because we felt there was a gap between our daughter's academic needs and the standardized curriculum of a public school setting. The small class size and individualized learning plan were the reasons we chose to enroll. Since March 2022, we continue to be impressed by the focus on the student and the opportunities for growth! Our daughter is thriving. The extended day program and extracurricular activities as well as vacation and summer camps keep kids engaged and entertained with focus on STEAM concepts. The owners of Bedford Academy Roxxane and Freddie endangered my daughter's life by refusing to follow their safety guidelines for allergies We asked for a simple written plan for allergies that is common in literally every school in the country. During a 45-minute meeting with Freddie, he told me he has no interest in accommodations because they cost money. He cannot see children beyond cells in an excel sheet. They focus more on celebrations with food than they do actual academics. The owners even cut back instructional time for the older kids while raising the prices but added another meal time. They advertise individual ed plans... Yeah right. It's the same curriculum for ages 3-8. A curriculum that invented in their living room. They will also block you on Facebook so you can't voice your concerns. This is not even a licensed preschool and it shows in the owner's lack of empathy toward the younger kids. The owners flat out say "this is not a preschool while enrolling three full classes. The owners have cooked up a curriculum they invented in their living room. They do not focus on gross or fine motor skills. If you suggest anything to add to the curriculum the owners take it personally. If you do not fit their mold, they will not invite you back next year. The owner told me they only created the school for their daughter. They even stopped teaching the "nonlatin" kids Spanish. They discriminate against protected classes every day if it does not fit into their mold. They are the most expensive preschool in town, take your money elsewhere and to a place that cares about your child not dying from an allergy. read more

The building is just barely within the zoning for Bedford and gives off vibes like it was put together in a hurry. The owners have not met on their promise of individualized learning paths and could care less about any feedback. If you feel like looking for another school within a few weeks of sending your children here then this place is for you. read more

Our daughter will be starting her second year here this fall. We have been so impressed with everything that she has been learning here and how excited she is to share what she has learned with us. We utilize the after school care which has been great and she participates in the after school activities as well. We're a family of five that live in Bedford. We decided that it was best for our family to find our children an education path outside of the Bedford public schools. Roxanne and her team made this transition very easy! I don't usually review anything, but I can't say enough good things about Bedford Academy, from academics to parental involvement. They really do an excellent job. As a parent of three little ones, I always felt the my children were in good hands, and their academic performance speaks volumes. I would recommend Bedford Academy to any family who's on the fence of taking their children out of public school. STEAM based learning is crucial in the development of our children, especially in todays world, and Bedford Academy not only prepares them academically, but also prepares them for real world application.
