Management isn't so great with giving you a day off or even a sick day, you never really work 40 hours a week and get sent home once the children drop as well as always being watched and told what to do. Once state pulls in the upper staff members start running since they have staff that shouldn't be left alone with children. I don't really have nothing nice to say except ms.Darlene

Well Let's do it like this shall we?…read more If you are looking for a place to just dump your kid and have no interaction with the staff and then just show up and pick up your kid without giving a crap about what your kid did all day? Kids Inn just aint the place for you. If you are looking for a place to drop off your children; secure in the knowledge that not just the one "Care-Giver" but the "Entire Staff" will love your child, and you will look forward to seeing them all and more importantly, your children look forward to seeing them and their friends - Then Kids in IS for you... Let's face it... Nobody Likes the fact that Daycare is a necessity. And since it is so: it is nice that a huge burden is lifted from your life when You hear your Sons and Daughters talking about their day with joy... Knowing that at Kids Inn your Kids are learning while being loved... Knowing you pretty much see the same faces every day taking care of your kids... Kids Inn is not just a Day-Care for us.. They are our extended Family that Our children Love. CJ and Miranda our 2 oldest children started with Kids Inn In 2006/2007 and have since moved on now in 6th and 3rd grade. In 2010 Our middle daughter was attending her last year we welcomed our Youngest to the world. It was at this time that Kids Inn began taking Newborns and Infants. Thus - It is hope that we proudly proclaimed her to be the first to go from Newborn and finally attend Ms. Donna's Kindergarten class.. Be Prepared for Kids Inn and it's staff to become a positive influence on not only your children's lives - but through them - a positive influence on your's as well... Ok - So - Now that Ms. Darlene is probably reduced to tears I'll end this review by just saying Kids Inn is the best Daycare in the area.

The owners and staff are truly exceptional--warm, nurturing, and genuinely invested in every child. There's a genuine family feel at Family Tree, and we've formed lasting connections. As a school psychologist, I've been consistently impressed by the center's thoughtful curriculum and the way social-emotional learning is seamlessly woven into the day. The focus on school readiness--academically, socially, and emotionally--gave our kids such a strong foundation. They also loved the amazing crafts, engaging science projects, and hands-on learning experiences that sparked their curiosity and creativity. We're so grateful for the years we spent at Family Tree--they gave our children such a loving, enriching start. And we're not alone--every Family Tree family we've met has felt the same deep appreciation. If you're looking for a place to truly entrust with your child's care and early learning, I couldn't recommend Family Tree more highly.

Completely opposite experience with my son. Due to high staff turnover, my son was not able to receive the care and support that my daughter did. After a dozen evaluations recommended by leadership, my son was not diagnosed with any developmental deficiencies or behavioral problems and did not qualify for special needs or IEP programs. The frequency that I was contacted to complain about my son doing things that are age appropriate (bathroom accidents, sensory processing, not sitting still during circle time, etc) was astoundingly unnecessary, we chose to place him in a different childcare center as there is a pattern of toddler boys being terminated for similar and worse reasons.

From being able to watch your child while you're at work to the hand written notes that they leave about your child's day, to the incident reports to see how something was handled; they're INCREDIBLE. I email the staff at least once a week with a question or a food substitute for our son and receive an immediate response. Everyone who works there treats you with kindness and respect and you really feel like your child is part of a little family and our son truly loves his teachers! I would recommend this daycare without hesitation to ANYONE!

The negative post made earlier this week is truly upsetting, as someone who has two children that…read moreare and have gone through this center - and have loved every second of it. From eight weeks old, to five years old, my daughter thrived at Discovery. The same teachers that she had, my son now has. The daycare is as clean as any daycare is going to be. I can tell you, it is more sanitary than my house, with two kids, at the end of a (week) end day with them. SO, how they keep it as clean as they do, with more than two kids in each room - is truly something. As for potty training - I actually give them credit for potty training my kids. My husband always say, "we got lucky!" but really, the teachers did it for us. Positive reinforcement, continual reminders, sticker charts - they did it all to make sure their potty days were successful ones. The staff is hands down the best, and so many have been there for so long. Most who are Moms, also have their kids there in other rooms. That speaks volumes to me. IN addition to that - there are several who have left for college, and come back for summers, or who leave hoping to make more money (because everyone knows how underpaid child education is) and then come back! Everyday, we get a print out and a hand written note about what our kids did that day, if they were happy/sad/sensitive, what they played with, etc. They spend so much time outside, that at tub time every night, we could make our own sandbox :-) In the bigger room, just before Kindergarten, they spend less time outside, but that is because they are preparing them for what lies ahead in Kindergarten! At my daughter's first parent/teacher meeting in Kindergarten - we were told that she is excelling, and far above where she is expected to be at this point, one month into the school year!! Could not be more proud, and owe that thanks to Discovery. Any concern, though there be few, are always thoughtfully addressed by the owner and the staff. The comments that the ratio of children to teachers is high depends on what your opinion is, really. The state has regulations - and they have as many kids as possible to teachers, in order to run a profitable business. Otherwise, why run the business? Discovery - you keep doing you. I'd send my kids there again in a heartbeat, and hope that the "one person who is saved" by the negative post from earlier (jeesh) reads *this* post - and realizes that from a MOTHER, (not a disgruntled employee) you'd be doing your kids, and yourself a favor - to send them to such a great school.

As a new mom, I greatly appreciate the human connection that all of the caregivers provide. Every day I am greeted with a smile and asked about how my daughter's night was. Beyond that, the caregivers are always happy to give me advice and support after a long night or fussy morning. I am thoroughly satisfied with her infant care, and am even more excited for her to progress through the childcare program. The layout of the building allows me a glimpse into the other early childhood classrooms, and I am constantly amazed by the variety of activities and teaching methods that I see on a daily basis. I also love that the program is part of 2nd Nature Academy. While we certainly don't want to rush our daughter's early childhood experience, we look forward to her continued education for many years to come.

I was a nervous new mother so I thought I was being critical of the lack of warmth from caregivers and staff. Aside from Carol who greets you upon entry there was no comfort in leaving your child there. I questioned myself thinking I was protective and went along with it. Over time it didn't change. I came one day to pick my child up early to find a substitute teaching acting extremely inappropriate with the children scolding them In a way that felt like she was losing control. Other staff members appeared embarrassed when I witnessed it. When speaking with the director I was reassured she wouldn't work with the younger kids anymore because " it overwhelmed her " I quickly learn from that point on it wasn't the right place for my child. I think they paint a pretty picture of what they offer but within the walls of the preschool is quite different. Their expectations are extremely high for toddlers and pre k and sadly lack the nurturing piece. I found the staff to be young with a lot of turnover. I found the director Jillian to be young, naive and lacking real life experience to be in her role. Be careful of the pretty picture it presents. I am so sad that I didn't go with my gut on day one... a new mother novice decision. Luckily my child has no memory and I have found a place that is nurturing with experienced staff.
