We visited several places and then remembered that the place we got our mattress (Texas Mattress Makers) also did sectionals, etc. This places looks like a big warehouse when you drive up but when you walk inside you see that it is a nice place to shop. Living Designs has a large selection to choose from and the best thing is that they love making custom furniture., We were greeted by Dean. He showed us around, told us about the furniture that was on the floor and answered all our questions. The best thing about getting furniture from Living Designs is that ALL the furniture is made here in Houston Texas. All the material that is used in make the furniture is sourced in the USA. Living Designs has lots of different styles to choose from and lots of different fabrics to choose from also. Frame has a lifetime warranty under normal wear. Foam has a 1 year warranty. Sewing has a 3 year warranty. Fabric has a 1 year warranty. Dean made us feel comfortable which is why we decided on Living Designs Furniture for the purchase of our custom made sectional. Delivery was in a timely manner for furniture which was custom made. So far we are pleased with our sectional from Living Designs Furniture. I usually swing by CVS before heading home. The freshly-made solid wood furniture display stared at me as I drove by. I had to stop my car to check it out. Due to CoVid19 concerns, the entrance is locked. I had to ring the door bell before I could enter. Store was nice and bright. Sandra greeted me and offered to help. I was kind of in a hurry, but I really wanted to browse the store, perhaps on a different day. She explained as everything is made to order and store is a showroom. Instead of browsing, I told her exactly what I was looking for. I have been wanting a cat lounge at my kitchen window. I gave her the dimension. She went to the office to look for catalogs. I couldn't believe it. This stool with exact dimensions actually exists. Unfortunately, it's over my budget, even with the cheapest wood. I would rather furnish my dining room and my cat stay on his old chair. When I saw a reclaimed wood bench on a dining room set, I asked about just a slab for fireplace mantel. She said it's possible. I just need the dimensions and she could ask a vendor to quote me a price.

Maybe I just didn't expect it so far from Amish country. But that is indeed the case. All their pieces are handmade by Amish craftsmen. Everything here is made to order and it takes a couple months. You can look at their showroom, browse their catalogs, and customize as you wish. They have all their wood types / stains mounted on the wall for easy comparison. It's not cheap. We looked at dinner tables and they were a couple thousand each (not including chairs). The chairs were about half a grand each. It's priced high but I think you can expect really good quality here. It was a bit out of our price range plus the style is somewhat too conservative for us. Nonetheless, I really appreciated their approach to customer service. We were helped by Sandra who was friendly, attentive, and informative. She offered us coffee and made us feel really welcome overall. If you have the time and money to invest in one of their pieces, I highly recommend it. This seems like a wonderful company that really cares about their customers.

Price on the tag not the same as online ; not adjusted in their system so would have to wait till Monday for manager -what kind of company doesn't update their system 1st....that would risk delaying a purchase where the customer might change their mind. This fee & that fee added 1k onto the price of the sectional - I'm serious. Really too bad bc we loved that piece it was perfect! They're nebulous about delivery date too and then I read other reviews where weeks turned into months etc. Delivery fees, handling fees, warranty... We bought elsewhere.
