There's nothing worse than trying to shop around and having someone follow you and push sales on you mercilessly. Bought a mattress from Amazon in November 2017 which has extremely good reviews (both ratings and volume). Although the mattress was luxury, innovative and beautiful, it caused back pain, twisted spine, and sleepless nights. Went to this local store and bought a mattress in September 2018 based on the good reviews at Yelp. There was no pressure to purchase and we tested 4 mattresses. End up buying the cheapest one under traditional and plain design (no luxury, no innovation and no fancy appearance). Slept very well with better health since then. Delivery service is professional and on schedule. Will buy from this store again. As Sears entering bankruptcy, customers should support and buy from local stores. read more

We bought 3 beds (queen and 2 twins) plus a trundle from them and everything from the selection to the service has been nothing short of outstanding. They even deliver to the shore! Mike has been wonderful. He was patient and informative - not pushy AT ALL - when we first met in their showroom and were feeling overwhelmed with all the options. He was extremely honest about the choices and gave us some excellent (money-saving) advice. He's since been super easy to reach, very responsive via text and so understanding of our situation - we are buying a new construction home so without a firm closing date the delivery date has had to be fluid, which he completely understood. Wow! I would if in the future and if they are still in business return to them as a customer. Mike ( I think that is his name but correct me if I am wrong) is very patient. I witness how he took his time to work with two ladies who actually where going around the store and who were searching for a mattress for a loved one who was in a dire need of a mattress ASAP. He took his time in answering both their questions and mine at the same time. Also he was able to work a deal for them. As for me, he was able to help me make sure of my mattress delivery on my very tight schedule to the point of making sure that the delivery guy called and that it was delivered. By the time you visit three or four bedding stores, you'll realize that they all sell basically the same beds. Where a bedding store stands out is with customer service, and that's where the Bedding Shoppe shines. While most bedding stores see a constant roll-over of employees, the two guys that work here will still be at the store two days after the end of the world. In all fairness, one of them is the owner, but you get the point. They're two of the friendliest people you will ever meet and boy do they know beds.... and bed frames, the different brands, the warranties, how the beds are made, how they wear, and so on. Maybe it's just that all the salesmen I'd encountered at other stores knew almost nothing, except the prices. I was also impressed at their endless patience, as I returned over and over before making a decision. At no point did I ever feel pressured. That's not to say they didn't do their best to entice me with a great price and a few added items tossed in for free. In the end I purchased a great Stearns & Foster bed and a Mantua Rize adjustable bed which I love and can't imagine living without. I returned months later with a question and Mike (the owner) walked up to me with a smile and greeted me by name. I almost wish my bed wasn't made so well. I need an excuse to go back. Seriously, if you're shopping for a bed, talk to these guys for five minutes and you'll never even think of going anywhere else. read more

Mike, the owner, was great and very patient helping us find the perfect bed and mattress for our son. The delivery men were AWFUL! They laid our two new mattresses in the snow instead of the dry driveway then walked through our house with their wet, dirty boots and stained our carpet. The topper was one of the delivery men used our bathroom without asking and left a very unpleasant odor and I had to clean the dirt off my bathroom floor from his boots. I recently bought a custom made (by a US vendor) solid wood captain's bed from Bedding Shoppe. The customer service was excellent: Eric and Mike were very patient and helpful during my numerous visits to look and re-look at finishes/features. And the bed is gorgeous -- well made and looks like it will last forever. I am using this in a tiny room for a young adult and didn't want the typical flimsy kid's storage bed that seems to have been designed to last just a few years. The bed was not inexpensive, but it is much, much nicer than anything else I saw in my thorough search (even at the same price point). We are so happy with this purchase.
