But the prices were fair, they were honest, and they kept their promises. I have no complaints. Really the only negative for me was the opposite of what I said above, sometimes I want some recommendations and opinions. When I was ordering a relatively expensive item a few months back I wanted their input on the best choices and if what I had selected was a good choice or if they would recommend something else. However, getting anyone to offer an opinion or advice was not just tough, it just wasn't coming no matter how I asked or what I said. Again, if you know just want you to want they will treat you fairly and honestly, that's better than most places where you leave wondering if you were ripped off or lied to. These guys don't do business that way.

During the past week, I have had no phone calls, text or emails from Gerber, so I gave them a call and was told they could not find my truck. Once they found my truck, they said they would start working on it by Friday. I have been without transportation for over a week, while my pickup set hidden on Gerber's lot. A real auto body shop would communicate with their customers, and let them know that they received their vehicle and provide a status and updates. I am going to pick up my truck from Gerber ASAP and take it to a real auto Collision repair shop

I called about 5 hours later to check the status and was told oil change had been completed and waiting to check brakes. A few minutes later I was contacted that my car was ready with no problems found. He explained that there was over 60% of the pads left in the front and 80% on the rear. That would be fantastic news if the brakes didn't grind! They test drove and couldn't duplicate the problem. The problem did continue for me driving home. I appreciate they didn't want to do work that wasn't necessary, but service advisor did not care to listen to what I thought might possibly cause the noise. I explained my car had previously been in an accident and had front suspension parts replaced. I suggested it might possibly be a loose pad or calipers loose or hanging up but he blew it off as a sensor. I didn't get the feeling that my problem was worth looking at beyond checking the pads for thickness and diagnosis fee. I basically was charged 204.00 for an oil change including their 3.5% credit card use included. After using my debit card I noticed the fee so changed and wrote a check for 197.00. Maybe it's me, a little confusing thinking debit card is the same as cash (most places). They did however only refund 197.00 of the 204.00 charged. So we are back to 204.00 for an oil change (to be fair, I got my preferred oil) and to be told my brakes are great. I have had people recommend your shop to me in the past and decided to give your shop a try with my brakes issue, but will never recommend or be back. Enjoy your 7 bucks credit card fee you kept, it will give me enjoyment in telling everyone I can of my experience and waste of time and money using your business. Update: I did reach out to Doug, but after emailing back and forth I am unsure he understands my frustrations of getting my brake problem blown off. It was my understanding I was paying for a true evaluation of what is causing the grinding noise. What I received is a free tire store look at the remaining brake pads. My option is they just don't care to do anything beyond the quick and easy $$, or care to listen to their customers. I never plan to return, trust is gone.

They call me tell me the noise that I was hearing was from my big tires on my truck and charge me for a tire rotation, which I never agreed for them to do. I get to the shop asked them if they would ride with me to hear the noise I was originally talking about. To their surprise, they heard the noise I was originally referring to.I tell them what I think it might be and I left the truck with them to look at it again. I've attached the estimate they gave me to fix what "the issue was". My husband looks at it because he said there's no way that noise could be from what they stated. And what did he find out, sure enough all it was was broken brake clips. This cost me roughly $12 I think to replace. The whole point to this post is to say, wait let your husband look at it or you can just take it to the shop like I did get charged for something it didn't need and then get lied to about an expensive unnecessary repair. Also,I've learned that even though this is 2024 we are still in the 1900s Era where men think women don't know crap.

I had an extremely negative experience with this business. I took my used car there for grinding…read morebrakes, they inspected my car and charged me over $2,200 for new rotors and pads and added other maintenance items that did not need to be done. My brakes were still grinding so I took it back to them and they said it's going to cost more to fix whatever is wrong and denied that they didn't fix the problem. After having another mechanic inspect my car they did not even replace the rear brakes and rotors they charged me for and left my power steering reservoir empty after supposedly servicing the system. I made a huge financial mistake trusting this company. Please do not trust this company with your car.
