I have been to a few BBB's and this one is consistent. I enjoy checking through the kitchen gadgets area for anything interesting or useful, but I can't remember the last time I actually bought anything from a store when it's just so much cheaper online. The store is, like others, tightly packed with stuff. Some shelving is quite tall and the aisles are all narrow, except for the ones that are the loop around the store. You're not getting past someone with a cart here. Claustrophobic. Not sure how someone with a wheelchair operates here. They're doing a clearance of their Christmas stuff right now, so you can pick up some bargains if you don't mind sitting on it until next year. [Review 12662 overall, 2454 of 2019.] read more

I don't understand how or why this store is still in business ‍ The staff is too intense to be hourly retail employers so it's not worth dealing with this store for that BUT god forbid you do buy something and there is something wrong with it... say like buy a foot stool and it ONlY had 1 leg in the box and you try to return without a receipt don't expect a store gift card at the lowest previous sale price like every other retailer does EVEN THOUGH the manger pulls up the item on his little blackberry confirming it IS indeed BB&B's merchandise finding it in the system and the physical item having not one but two BB&B price tags on it... nope with all that you are walking back out the door stuck with THEIR faulty item. I would never step foot in an over priced, sloppy, BB&B again BUt especially the Asheville store!! read more

What has happened to this store? It used to so good. Great merchandise, well organized, looked good, and great staff. Now it's like the close out of a flea market. It's so trashy, it's embarrassing to shop there. Half the shelves are empty, they didn't even have a 9x9 baking pan. The only staff i saw in the store were "hanging out" at the front desk. I say hanging out because there were 4 or 5 of them but only 1 was on the register doing anything. So sad to see a great store crumble. read more

Literally am I the parking lot, leaving here to go to Walmart or wherever. I asked for a 12' Pie form. I asked after I found someone, that was already a task! She did not know , she did have a radio though and used it 3 times ( do we have any Pie forms....) nobody answered. Finally somebody, a guy on the radio. She asks again, he is sure they are somewhere but does not really know what she is exactly talking about ( how hard is it????) and suggests to meet with the costume (me) in a certain area, the girl with me just says " we are here" and he tells her that it will take him a couple of minutes because he is in the back. Not extremely well stocked due to supply chain issues, but Roshni did a wonderful job helping us use the computer system to make the purchases from the BB&B website. She was very helpful as we were choosing the items, even recommending colors for the furniture we were purchasing when we described the rug we had in the room. She turned a frustrating experience into a pleasant one! read more

The store has gone down. So cluttered and disorganized. The associate who checked me out asked me if I wanted a bag, for the dozens of items I had, and then threw them all into the bag along with glass. Very dirty, zero toilet paper in the bathroom. read more

A few weeks ago, we went in here not for our bed, not for our bath- we went beyond the beyond, and on to the fourth dimension- the bathroom of BB&B. Well, my husband was looking for a certain item, so he largely disappeared until he came back from some other beyond. Anyway, I was shocked that the bathroom was so poorly maintained. I was expecting something modern and equipped. It felt like public school. "Bath" is proclaimed within the company's name, so why is the bathroom's state so poor? When we came out of the bathroom, we were trapped like rats. Oddly placed humans and shelves had us scurrying for air and freedom. As we escaped towards the travel-sized items, I noticed that the checkout lines trail out- yes, beyond- the usual space for checking out. The space seems very small. Prepaying people were actually waiting in the cluttered main drag. The system begs for a redesign. When we got in line, I glanced around to try to get a feel for the place. I realized that it felt overwhelming and chaotic, and not anything like I had envisioned. The cashier was very unpleasant. Not one peep, and not even a bag. I felt depressed. Dear husband, you can take your seasonal trips to BB&B yourself. You can take that weird, secondary timer that you got on deep clearance at BB&B that I hate using, and your expensive pillow that you got at BB&B that you slightly regret because it was still expensive even on sale and still is so unbroken because when you attempt to lay your head on it feels like some sort of torture, and you can- I don't think I can get beyond this. read more

I love going to bed bath and beyond. Great service, selection have never had a problem. Even with returns but it does help to have a receipt, just like all stores. Also never a problem with the employees. read more

I bought a $139 Homedics humidifier earlier this year and it will not turn on now, just beeps once when I try to turn it on. I took it back to exchange it and the store manager refused to take it back without a receipt. Not even a store credit with 20% off for not finding it on my credit card. I am not a return abuser or was I trying to pull one over on them, just wanted them to make it right. The vendor is not answering the phone or my email. I left it at the store because I am not going to take it to the dump. They can actually return it to the vendor for credit. I will not shop at this box store again. read more

I ordered an item online beginning of April with the promise of prompt delivery. Today June 10, nothing has been delivered. When I received the first notice of delivery delays I felt it is okay to wait a couple weeks. The second notice mid May, I send them an email with my wish to cancel. No response! I then called - no live person. I ended up chatting with their customer service, got dropped. Restarted the second person on chat. After being told that the order cannot be cancelled even though my order has not been delivered in over a month, I insisted to stop the order immediately with their next level supervisor. I was told the order is canceled 2 weeks ago. Never received an email of cancellation, but trusted that Bed Bath and Beyond is doing the right thing taking care of their customers. Well, here I am June 9, receiving a request for payment in my email - acknowledging that the item is still with the manufacturer and still delayed. Who has ever been in a situation like this? Bed Bath & Beyond is a great place to shop for all of your houses are needs. Cooking utensils, cleaning supplies and equipment, linens, indoor/outdoor decor, gifts, gadgets, etc. I never walk out of here empty handed which is why I never just go to window shop. read more

I've been going here for years. I've never experienced anything short of great service every time I go there. I've purchased tons of stuff from here. Towels, bedding, floor cleaners, flatware, dishes....etc. I've always been met with terrific service. read more

Was going to give only one star, but they have the Made in USA squatty potty - so threw them another one. Seems to me that this company goes out of its way to buy things NOT made in the USA. Turkish and/or Indian made linens aren't the worst thing, but come on! Show some support to your country! And then there is the misleading labeling. We bough two pillows marked made in India and Mexico ..... Took them home, took off their outer case to wash - and there it was. made in CHINA. Wrote a review on their website and they took it down. When I questioned them, they said it is because I mentioned China. Will never shop at these stores again. read more

My fiance and I went to the Bed Bath and Beyond in Asheville, NC to begin a wedding registry. We didn't know what to expect and weren't really looking forward to doing this party of the wedding planning. We went on Sunday, January, 12. From the minute we walked into the store, we had an awesome experience. Rebecca was at the registry desk. Immediately she congratulated us and asked us all the right questions. Fran came over to help her out as well. Rebecca started by walking us through the first few items and left us to work on our wedding registry. If I had a question, she was there to help. Rebecca said she was new to the registry department and I know she will make a great addition!! At one point I said something out loud about being thirsty and wanting a water and another employee (sorry I don't know his name) grabbed me a bottle of water and even offered a cart, which was provided later by Rebecca. After finishing our registry, Bed Bath and Beyond provided a ton of information about adding to our registry and gave us info cards to provide in the shower invitations. With all the stress that goes into a wedding, it was nice to have people helping out and making one part of the process so much easier.
