My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Camilla. I had booked this bed and breakfast through Booking.com. I had read the wonderful reviews there about Filippo and his family and their incredible hospitality.
Prior to our visit, when we were still in Venice, Filippo reached out on "What's App" to let us know that he would pick us up at the train station in Padua (Padova). We really were appreciative, because it's always hard with our large suitcases to walk long distances. Filippo told us exactly where to meet him and he showed up at the train station right away.
We stayed in "the annex" apartment, which was just around the corner from the main house where the breakfast was served. Filippo gave us a tour of the apartment and also provided his own personal written walking tour of Padua, which we used the next day to explore the town. Padua is definitely worth a visit. There was so much to see!
The apartment was spacious and very clean. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment, so it was delightfully smoke-free. Filippo gave us several restaurant recommendations within walking distance. We ate at a nearby pizza restaurant, which was fantastic. The neighborhood that the apartment and bed and breakfast are in is very quiet and serene. There is even a friendly cat named Buffino that you can visit with outside at the apartment complex.
The breakfast was one of the best that we had in Italy. Everything was homemade by Filippo's family members. There were pastries, coffee, juices, and hot items such as eggs.
On the last day, Filippo was nice enough to hold our luggage while we explored the town and also drove us back to the train station. Wow! So nice! We definitely would like to stay at Casa Camilla again in the future. read more
