I totally left a review on the wrong BECU by accident at first (whoops), but I'm happy with the service here. They were friendly and helpful. Even though someone was being trained, they helped me quickly and I was out and on my way back to my errands. They provided me with information and made sure I had my peppering of questions all answered. I must have come during slow hours, because they were able to accomodate me without an appointment and the small room where the atms are was not crowded. There is sanitizer and plexiglass for your protection. This location is really convenient too, just a quick walk from other places I needed to go to today and the park. read more

I came in here to get a cheque so I can get on payroll at work. I was greeted by Solomiia and she took care of that immediately. Not only did I get what I needed, she even convinced me to upgrade my credit card since I had been with BECU for several years now. She made sure I was well informed before making any decisions. Solomiia is so kind and helpful that I even came in a second day for something else, even though I could've done everything over the phone. I still received great service from Stephanie on my second visit and Solomiia remembered me. If I'm ever in the area and I need help with anything financially related, this is the first place I will consider. This location seems great because you can see it from the road and they also have free parking available in the Safeway parking lot (it is listed on their door). However I find it not very easy to actually get to. I can never find the garage and know where to go once I'm in there and I'm always on the wrong side of the street to get in there. I know that this isn't something they can control, but it doesn't seem to me to be a quick stop for a location to make my deposits. However on the plus side, they do have 2 ATM's. One right when you walk in and the second one inside the actual center, keep in mind the second one is not accessible when they are closed. When I am in the Bellevue area and I need to stop at the bank I do stop here, but I guess I just like my lower Queen Anne location better. read more

BECU ATM - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

I am a combat veteran who moved here for the construction boom. After being a commercial diver and welder in San Diego mostly as a contractor for the Navy I relocated here. My union was supposed to change their services to BECU so I decided to get a jump on The transition. After opening a savings checking and line of credit I found it nearly impossible to get money from any of my many other accounts into it. Then I became ill with a chronic condition from toxic exposure from my time in service. I was so ill I couldn't even walk across the street to the hospital if I tried. We are probably the highest paid union in the northwest and I haven't had a late payment in almost 7 years for anything. So because they couldn't get a hold of me or seem to find a way to get money from one of my many accounts while I was ill they shut down my line of credit essentially making it just a debt and then told me that I need to come in to close out all of my accounts. I'm not taking time out of my busy schedule to go down and close out all of my accounts. If they want to secretly shut down my line of credit and then harass me daily (filling up my voicemail daily) which consequently overloaded my voicemail so I couldn't get actual important messages at work about making payments on it. I do not recommend anyone not using this bank and would never let anyone I care about do any business with this bank. I will be making this very clear to all of my union brothers and sisters. Terrible service and even worse attitude and condissension from a so-called manager Who I make three times more than. Their bank managers should try a couple business classes. Because the business they will lose for me and my friends Family in Union will drastically dwarf the small that I can pay out of pocket at any time. read more

This bank is totally inept, disorganized and difficult to access , Forget about getting anyone on the phone . My papers appear to be lost. This place is poorly, poorly managed. I switched to BECU several months ago and am really happy with the results. This is the branch I visit the most, as I have paychecks to deposit every several weeks. I love the convenience of the snapshot ATM - no deposit slip, no envelope, no fuss. (As a side note, I've also tried the scan and deposit your check from your home scanner - very cool but I don't like having the voided check lying around, so I prefer the snapshot ATM). There is parking available at the Safeway lot, although I found it too chaotic and difficult to get in/out of, so I generally try to snag one of the street side spots along 2nd Avenue. I had no idea there was a 2nd ATM inside the bank itself until one of the very nice employees noticed me waiting in the lobby and pointed it out. Definitely a contrast to other banks where you have 4 or 5 people sitting at their desks and completely ignoring you while one poor teller runs back and forth trying to help 3 customers at once and the line spills out the door. read more

Full service banking center for BECU. I'm surprised at this credit union. No joke. Of all the friends that bank with BECU, all have told me how happy they are with this credit union. Although I use Bank of America, and a private Credit Union in the SF Bay area, I decided to open a checking and savings account with them in person at this branch, in lieu of opening the account online. They offer 6% interest on checking and savings! That's nuts! Their rates on CD's and Money Market accounts are on par with BofA, but I'm happy with 6% on my checking and savings accounts! Customer service: superb. I was in and out of the branch with accounts opened in less then 15 minutes. They have the new fancy snapshot ATM's that have been in California for years and Washington state is just now catching up on. Fees are lower then traditional banks, and online banking is easy. You have to sign up for online banking and bill pay in order to receive the special 6% interest rate. Easy. Refer a friend, and you BOTH receive $25 deposited into savings! read more

We had just had a horrible experience at the BECU in Lynnwood and came to this branch with great apprehention. And thank goodness, our fears were laid to rest. We had been trying to finalize a car loan and for some reason, it was more complicated than it should have been. While the people in Lynnwood were completely disorganized and unprofessional, the people in Bellevue were SO friendly, calm, and professional. We worked with Andrea Agostinacci and she was so great. Even when she couldn't figure something out or had a question about the application, she calmly made phone calls to figure it out. She made the whole process so easy and calm and I just felt so much trust in what she was doing. She was able to figure everything out and we left with everything we needed to go purchase our new car. I would recommend this branch to anyone who banks with BECU. I'm not a regular customer (this car loan was my first experience with BECU) but if I need to deal with them again, this is the branch I will go to. read more

The employees at BECU are very customer service oriented, and so helpful! This branch has an ATM vestibule which is open 24/7. There are 2 ATMs which accept cash and check deposits. This branch does mortgages too. Parking is the same garage as Safeway, and is adjacent to the building. This branch is fairly small as far as BECU locations go, but there's still a small comfortable waiting lobby. read more

I've submitted loan app to BECU for refinance.. With about 30+% equity in the property, great salary, money in the bank I was thinking it be done asap. After 5+ weeks becu declined my loan without having any reason or description. So, I ended up wasting time, effort (appraisal money I'm still waiting to be returned to me). Never again I'll deal with them. I'll be also closing our BECU checking and savings accounts... bunch of incompetent morons! read more

BECU, I wish I could quit you. It's just such a pain in the butt to have to change banks...but every time I interact with you I get a little bit closer to dumping you. Take today, for example. I walk to the Bellevue location from work. Arrive to find one of the two ATMs broken, and three people waiting to use the one that's working. I went into the bank to see if someone will help me with my deposit. Three -- yes, THREE -- employees were sitting around chatting with each other, but they couldn't help me with a deposit. They somewhat helpfully told me that if I knew my account number, I could use the dropbox. I don't know it. They told me I could use the app. Uh, no thanks. Your app usually refuses the photos it takes of my checks, and once it even allowed me to deposit the same check twice. Please get your act together, BECU. If ATMs are going to be the only way customers can interact with you, then you need to get more of them, AND make sure they're always working. read more

I am a big fan of BECU. Did you know if you lose your debit master card they will generate one right there on the spot at the bank branch that you can use right away? Sure beats waiting for a separate pin number and debit card to finally arrive in the mail in 5-10 days... not mentioning any names but rhymes with bank of america. read more

I left my debit card in the atm at this branch earlier this evening. Without any prompting from me; an employee retrieved it, placed it in their safe, and called to to notify me. What other banks would do that I ask you? I can't say enough good things about banking with BECU. I appreciated their over the phone loan application process when I purchased my first new car. They are giving me 6.9% apr on my visa card. They warn me about how many transactions I have left to make on my savings account per month before incurring a service charge (unlike some banks that just slap you with the charge). BECU, seriously I am in love. You remember that time I went to Hawaii and you called to verify that I was on vacation after I used my debit car? That was so kind of you. Unlike my traveling companion's bank who immediately froze her account because she didn't give them advance warning of her trip. I encourage everyone to bank with BECU. read more

I used to work for a credit union and was a die hard supporter of them. And there are some great things with BECU, like how little charged me the times I have overdrawn my account. However recently I have had to revisit my opinion of BECU due to a ton of account fraud I have been experiencing. My parents are with Bank of America, and the second a charge comes from out of state, or out of their normal purchasing area, it stops the charge from going through. In the past year, I have had my entire BECU checking account cleaned out over 7 separate times(mostly following Targets hack, and the Health insurance hack). Most of these incidents have been something like: I bought a coffee in WA at 8:00am, at 8:30 in Florida someone used my card to purchase a hotel, and then 30 uber rides around town. Or something like this, Someone in Carolina purchased 5, $100 Walmart gift cards using my card just hours after I bought something from Taco bell in Washington state. No flags, No automatic freezing of my account, just someone draining all of my funds. When I try to contest these obviously fraudulent charges, I have to bend over backwards to sign multiple paperwork, multiple times per charge, to prove I wasn't in Carolina, when 30 minutes prior I was on the other side of the united states. I haven't ever not gotten my money back, but the amount of time I have to dedicate to this process is beyond frustrating. I would not suggest this credit union for anyone else. Putting your money under your bed would be a safer location than dealing with this joke of a financial institution read more

So far so good!! I've been with BECU for quite some time now (not very long) & have experienced peace-of-mind. My purpose with BECU is to save $$$ & not make withdrawls. Recently, I've been searching for other financial products they have & apparently they use an outside financial service, LDL FInancial. I searched for customer reviews about LDL financial & found horror stories. So I won't sign up for their other financial services. LDL Financial probably has hidden fees (e.g., sales commission, management fees etc.). They probably won't 100% disclose to customers. Don't want to take that chance. Always do your research 1st before signing up with any financial institution that credit unions use. All credit unions are NOT created equal. BECU does not specialize in finance so It makes sense for them to use outside sources. I've compared BECU with other credit unions in WA. & BECU really is rated #1. There was one negative experience I had. When BECU upgraded their website, they lost my security questions. I called customer service & they couldn't log me in either. So I had to go to the branch & get this done. The female Asian clerk called tech. support to fix this & it took quite awhile --which I had zero patience for. Then the clerk kept trying to engage in a personal conversation with me. Personal questions I had no desire to answer or even engage in a conversation with her. She was annoying me!! This is typical Asian style. I'm Asian & I hate it when Asians (from foreign countries) ask stupid questions & they don't even know their questions are stupid. read more

Brian Dickinson and the mgmt team were just so great to work with on a very complex Auto deal loan. Each time I didn't think we would have an answer, Brian hung in there and helped me figure everything out. I am a proud owner of a new SUV - after not wanting to go with the other one. I can't thank Brian enough for is patience and guidance on the loan. He is now helping me with my Home Loan and to move it out of another bank. Had an issue this morning where I was depositing $780 cash in the BECU ATM machine. They are part of the shared branch Network for credit unions. The machine kicked back $280 of the deposit, then the door closed it took the 500 in and kicked my card out. There's no record of the deposit, there's no receipt, it didn't credit the money. The transaction just ended with no other confirmation for the machine. And now BECU says there's nothing they can do for me. I have to contact my bank. So their ATM has my $500 in it and there's nothing there willing to do to verify this. Poor business practice. People are in need of their money with the wait times are right now out of work and practically starving from Check to Check. Shame on you BECU. You should really take some responsibility for your equipment that malfunctions. You're affecting people's lives. I will be contacting every social media Outlet possible for you not wanting to help me and literally shrugging me off shame on you. read more

This was the first bank I enrolled in, the only con is that it is only available for Washington state since it is "Boeing" from Washington. I'm still glad they let more than just employees be part of their bank. Everytime I go, the representatives were incredibly nice it kind of scares me, but they really mean to help. I had errors with this bank and another, easily guessable, I made calls back and forth between two banks, neither owning up. BECU just said they don't know what they should do and try to call the other bank. On my third call at BECU, the representative said "I'm sorry this happened to you" and somehow that took ALL my anger away; whether she was faking or not she actually sounded sincere. And especially because it wasn't this bank at fault. She was actually able to help me out and solve the problem. Screw the other bank, convert to BECU! (: read more

I like the idea of doing business with a local credit union so I'm trying to keep a positive attitude when it comes to this branch, but they seem to be going out of their way to make sure that doesn't happen. Also, I apologize for the wall of text. tl;dr version: Customer Service here is hit or miss, and when it's bad, it's really bad. My first negative experience was when my debit card was cloned and someone took it on a shopping spree in Canada. Fortunately I noticed the charges the same day they occurred and by that time BECU had already blocked my card due to the odd charges which I was very grateful for. It was the weekend so I stopped by this branch first thing Monday morning to complete the fraud paperwork. The form itself was quick and easy, but unfortunately the employee helping me knew little about empathy and even less about Regulation E. When I asked her how long it would be until I had my money back she told me that it would be at least a week because their fraud department was so backed up. When I told her this was a violation of a federal law and they were required to provide me with provisional credit if it was going to take this long she looked very flustered and annoyed. She became even more annoyed when I asked her to provide me with a copy of the law which she is legally required to do. She just kept repeating that their fraud department was backed up and she would try to contact them but couldn't guarantee anything. I finally got her to give me a copy of the law and promise that someone would call me later that day which they did, but I shouldn't have to do her job for her or feel like an annoyance when I'm simply asking for proper service. My second negative experience was when I went in to move my auto loan from another bank. I had previously met with an employee regarding the transaction and she was very helpful in getting me pre-approved and letting me know everything I would need to make the transaction work. Unfortunately she was not there when I came back in. The employee helping this time was new and had never done an auto loan before, which was no big deal, except for the employee at the desk next to him seemed to feel the need to get involved even when her help was not needed or wanted from me. She was very adamant in telling me that I would not be approved for the loan and then proceeded to judge my lifestyle by telling me that perhaps I shouldn't have gotten divorced if I didn't want bad credit. I was so pissed I couldn't even think of a proper comeback. I did get the manager to actually pick up the phone and call the underwriter who confirmed that I had already been approved. After completing all of the paperwork for the loan, they neglected to tell me that I was responsible for adding them as a lienholder to my title. I've never worked with a bank or credit union before that didn't have a title clerk on staff so this was a bit surprising to me, especially when I got a phone call telling me I needed to take care of it immediately or they would bump my rate to 19.99%. I wish they would rethink this practice because wasting my lunch at the DOL is not worth my time. read more

I came to BECU after having serious security issues with Chase and Bank of America, having cards stolen multiple times including one that was stolen while it was in the mail to me and not even activated. The set up was quick and easy and within the hour I was out with my BECU debit card. The online banking and ATMs make everything easy and if you have any questions you can always ask one of the associates. The waiting to speak to someone can take a while but at least the chairs in the lounge are comfortable. Since then I have opened a credit card and recommended it to friends who have opened accounts and are just as happy as I am. Sure I had my card stolen once but since then I have not had a single issue and am happy to report that probably for the first time in my life I will have my cards actually reach the expiration date. When it comes to everyday banking, everything runs smoothly, I had hoped a mortgage would be the same. I was wrong. I started the process of cash-out refinancing in December. I currently live and work outside the US, so I knew there would be a little more paperwork. Or so I thought. I submitted all the necessary paperwork, after a month I received a rejection letter that they could not establish my expenses out of the US. Why didn't you tell me this before? I have everything if you would just tell me. Tried to submit again. I had all the necessary documents translated, and submitted everything AGAIN. Here is a glimpse of the process I went through: I was told there may be a problem with condo questionnaire. I went to the Fannie May website and proved to the loan officer that they had made a mistake when evaluating the condo questionnaire. Yes, I combed through the regulations and did their jobs for them. So, this time I was reassured that everything should be fine. Just before closing, after 3 months of waiting, checking, emailing, and phone conversations, I suddenly get a massage that says my credit score is fine, but my credit history is insufficient (I currently don't live in the US, so there isn't a lot of activity) and there is no way I could get the loan. WHAT?!@#$#!~@????? A total of 5 months of bureaucracy, forms, waiting, checking, and re-checking for a simple, standard loan and no one thought to actually look at my credit history (which they earlier told me was fine) and save me from this nightmare?! The manager was nice (they usually are at BECU), sympathetic, apologized, but the bottom line: I was left with no mortgage and scrambling for time. Had to go to a different lender and got a more expensive loan than the BECU loan - but this one went smoothly, with a loan officer who knows his business. If it is vital for you that things go smoothly with your loan, I would (sadly) not recommend BECU for that. read more

I love BECU. I switched from Chase and I couldn't be happier. The interest rates for savings and checking accounts are pretty good, the ATMs do immediate check deposits and you can withdraw money from a huge number of other credit union ATMs across the country without paying a fee. Everyone who works at this location and the dt Seattle location are super friendly and helpful. read more

I took a check from my bank and a payment coupon to pay my first payment on a BECU auto loan into this "branch" and I was told that they couldn't take a payment to a BECU loan there. I went to my car and called the 800 number and after being on hold for over 5 minutes, I was told that some other credit union could take my payment for a BECU loan. Tomorrow, BECU will be paid off.... financed at a better rate through my credit union, whom I should have just done the loan through in the first place. Good bye and good riddance BECU! read more

I usually go to the one in Issaquah which I have had nothing but good experiences at, however when I came in here to have a new debit card printed after having it stolen and to ask a few questions about an international wire transfer I had to wait over an hour in line. I thought it wouldn't be that bad because when I signed up at the kiosk there were only three people in front of me and there were quite a few people working. Unfortunately a few minutes after I checked in all but two ladies working left and it ended up taking about an hour and 20 minutes to get my turn to sit at a desk for five minutes and be told no you can't do a wire transfer after 1:30pm, and to get a new debit card printed out. I have to sit in class from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and I don't really want to sit in a bank during what little free time I have, especially since the lady that helped me was somewhat rude. When I graduate and get a job and am doing more banking than just receiving fafsa money and paying rent I think I will be forced to get a new bank that is more efficient because seriously, what professional has two hours to sit around in your tiny cramped waiting room?!? I suggest extending the working hours of your staff to accommodate the busiest times of the day which are during lunch and when people get off work from their own jobs. read more

This branch is awful. More than once, the consultants have this snotty condescending tone while they talk to me about my finances. I'm not sure what their problem is. I've pulled most of my funds out of here. Their snarky attitude seems to exclude that possibility when they judgingly look at my info. Interest income is nice, but helpful, friendly customer service is important, too. This branch consistently misses the mark on that metric. I'd post specific info about my interactions with these condescending unprofessional people, but I'd fear retaliation on their end somehow with my banking. The judgmental attitude seemed to increase once they sensed I was upset about their treatment of me most recently. I think they know they're bad, have no intention of improving, and treat customers poorly to try to intimidate them into covering it up. read more
