But I signed up to support my wife, and I'm really glad I did. This class completely changed how I see birth and my role in it. Instead of feeling like a bystander, I walked away feeling informed, useful, and actually confident in how I can support my wife during labor. The techniques we learned--breathing, relaxation, visualization--aren't just for moms. I found myself using them too, and they've already helped us both stay calmer leading up to the big day. What stood out most was how much emphasis was placed on teamwork. I learned specific, practical ways to advocate for my wife, help her stay relaxed, and create a positive environment no matter how the birth unfolds. It made me feel like an active participant instead of just "the guy in the room." The instructor, Care, was very knowledgeable, approachable, and never made any question feel silly. She made the classes very comfortable and even pretty funny at times. The class also struck a great balance between education and hands-on practice, so it didn't feel like we were just sitting through lectures. If you're a partner on the fence about taking a hypnobirthing class--do it. Even if you're skeptical like I was, you'll come away with tools, confidence, and a much deeper understanding of what your partner is going through. Honestly, it's one of the best things we've done together to prepare for becoming parents.

From the very first class, it was clear that Care is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about empowering expectant parents. Her approach to hypnobirthing and breathing techniques was not only informative but also calming and reassuring for both me and my partner. We completed it feeling much more prepared and confident for the birth experience ahead. Care provided a wealth of resources, ensuring we had everything we needed to make informed decisions about our birthing plan. She was always responsive to our questions, both during the classes and even after the birth, which made a world of difference in our journey. It's rare to find someone who continues to support you even after the classes are over. Overall, the entire experience with Care was amazing. Her warmth, expertise, and dedication to her clients truly set her apart. I honestly didn't think she would ever sign much, but decided to keep taking her for the socialization. By the third class she really started showing interest and now she knows about 40 signs.

I have been recommending this class to all of my friends who have little ones! My son started this…read moreclass when he was 12-months-old, and it was one of the first social things he was able to do after COVID cases started to slow down. I am so glad we found this class. My son completed all three sessions, as well as the storybook 4 week class during the summer. At 20-months-old, he can sign about 47 words, and about half of those are words he signs regularly (i.e. more, food, water, milk, diaper) and the other half are words he signs occasionally (i.e. crocodile, owl, flower, stars). Not only did this class help with socializing (for both of us!) but I noticed that once he started signing, he also started to speak some more as well, and is now up to about 25 words verbally. And now that my son is almost 2-years-old and becoming more "moody," signing has helped to decrease a lot of the frustration he feels since he is able to communicate what he needs and I can pick up on it faster than had we not taken this class. For instance, one day he was inconsolable and finally signed "pain" and pointed at his foot, and sure enough, there was a cut underneath his toe. I was able to take care of it and soothe him, which helped the crying to stop. We completed all of our classes outdoors at Morely Field in North Park which our family really enjoyed, but I believe the classes will eventually transition back indoors. If you are wondering if this class is for you and your baby, wonder no more. Monta's Baby Sign Language class is a great investment of your time and money, and being able to communicate more with your baby is absolutely priceless. Juliana was a major help during a very vulnerable time. I booked multiple at-home lactation…read moreconsultations when I was freshly postpartum, and she provided personalized and thorough after-visit reports to support my breastfeeding journey. I was dealing with blood blisters, a poor latch, doubts and fears about supply, and a baby that was temporarily not gaining enough weight. As a first-time mom, it was extremely stressful, and there were many tears. However, Juliana's visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. We also did a weighted feed during every visit, which confirmed that my baby was indeed getting enough to eat. I still remember the relief I felt when I learned that. Juliana is a big reason why I decided to stay the course with breastfeeding. (Thank goodness, because now I LOVE it.) My insurance covered the cost of the visits, so I just paid the $60 travel fee. I also attended her breastfeeding class with my husband before giving birth. This was super helpful, but I recommend taking the class within 1 month of your due date. We took it a bit too early in my pregnancy, and forgot a couple things by the time I gave birth. Overall, I would highly recommend booking a lactation consultation with Juliana if you're in need of support!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, not pushy at all. They patiently answered all of our (many!) questions and helped us compare different stroller options based on our lifestyle and needs. We left feeling confident in our decision, which is such a huge relief as first-time parents! The store itself is absolutely adorable--full of the cutest baby items you can imagine, from thoughtful gifts and baby clothes to nursery must-haves. You can tell everything is curated with care. It has that perfect boutique vibe without being overwhelming or overpriced. Babies in Bloom is a true gem for anyone preparing to welcome a little one. We left not only knowing what stroller we want, but with a big smile on our faces. Highly, highly recommend!

It has been so fun for both of us to be able to communicate. My daughter also speaks at least 4 verbal words which are paired with signs we learned from the class. I am very grateful to be taking this class. This class comes with Monta's book as well which has a very easy to use sign dictionary with pictures that show exactly how to use the signs. The book itself is extremely helpful. Sign benefits aside my daughter really enjoys the parachute and bubbles at the end of class as well as seeing other babies her age. This is a great class. I highly recommend.

We signed up for class and all sat down in front of the computer as a family waiting on an amazing class to start. The Instructor "Monta" started class and put herself on mute. The entire class was typing in chat that no audio was available for the class. One of the other parents started using the draw feature in zoom to write over her slides to plead to her to stop because no one could hear anything. She finally stopped approximately 15 minutes into class and unmuted the microphones. I spoke up and advised that it was important she started the class over as no one could hear anything. She had stated that she would be unwilling to start the class from the very beginning. After all she had a schedule to keep and we could just join another class or watch the recorded video. Never mind the fact that I had taken time off work to attend this class. I said that if she wasnt willing to start the class from the beginning we should be discussing a refund if this is the way the classes were going to go. As soon as the word refund was brought up she proceeded to start the class from the beginning which is what the entire class had been typing in the chat. We chalked it up due to technical difficulties were looking forward to continuing the class. The following day I received a email asking if I was the one who spoke out. Later in the day I received another email to which I replied.Yes I was the one who spoke up and let her know that I do see value in the class. It was very frustrating as you were not heeding what anyone in the class mentioned via chat or via drawing on the slides. Monta then proceeded to respond to the email to advise we would be dropped from the course as she did not want someone publicly confrontational. My wife proceeded to reply to her and said that we were sad and disappointed to be dropped from the class over vocalizing a refund. We understood that this was a change to her normal class routine and once we were able to here the class it could have been a great experience. We received a email response from Monta stating that As the creator of her curriculum it should have been her decision to restart the class and that my husband publicly shamed her and that is why we were being dropped from the course. For anyone who reads this review we are more than happy to provide all copies of email correspondence so you are aware that if you start to question the instructor you could be accused of using harsh language that shattered her which will impact her teaching ability.
