The only reason I gave her a 4/5 stars is because I had specifically asked for my Mini Australian Shepherd to not be shaved down and I picked her up shaved. I used to work alongside dog groomers, so I know first hand why Australian Shepherds (double-coated dogs) should not be clipped super short. For me, it's not a risk I want to take with my dogs. Camper looks super cute, but I'm hoping that her hair grows back how it should. Thankfully, so far there's no serious signs of coat damage. I will likely give her another chance before going elsewhere.

The groomers were so patient and made sure she felt safe and comfortable the entire time. She was quite matted and really needed a good groom, and they did an amazing job! She was pretty chill after she got home too, it was nice to see that response. I had gone to a different groomer before and it was not a great experience,they barely touched her face, just buzzed down the nose, but hair was still in her eyes! Lately, it seems that the grooming staff has been leaving an hour or two earlier than what their hours state they should. We've gone in several times well before closing and no one is there and no other store employees are aware of it. Tonight, we called first to make sure someone was there. Sure enough, all of the grooming staff was already gone by 5 when they are supposed to be open until 6pm. Super frustrating, especially when there is no option to book an appointment for a nail grinding online. Our dog doesn't enjoy going anyways and then to get there, and have to take him back to the car, and go back home for nothing is getting really frustrating and it is a waste of our time and gas. If the grooming hours stated are not being followed and the grooming staff is not going to adhere to them, it's not fair to walk in customers. At this point, we're ready to take our business elsewhere.

When I dropped her off, I requested her usual Yorkie puppy cut and specifically asked for a full haircut with her coat kept short for the summer. Instead, when I picked her up, she had been completely shaved. She looked nothing like the Yorkie puppy cut she has received for years. Unfortunately, the groomer was not present when I dropped her off or when I picked her up, so I never had the opportunity to discuss the haircut or understand what happened with the communication. I still don't know how my request was misunderstood. To make matters worse, I noticed when I got home that her tear stains had not even been cleaned, something I had to do myself. In the ten years I've owned my dog and had her groomed every couple of months, I have never had an experience this disappointing. I understand that hair grows back, but it is heartbreaking to see my dog completely shaved when that is not what I requested. I trusted this business based on our long history together, and I left feeling very sad and let down. I sincerely hope this feedback helps prevent another pet owner from having a similar experience in the future.
