My family is an old one in Enterprise. My two grandfathers were the first two presidents of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce. My name is Lee Yarbrough Gibson Bradley. I am named after Edward Lee Gibson and Joseph Calvin Yarbrough. The idea of Enterprise and its growth was the vision of my grandfathers and their absolute belief in the future of this area. They invested their hearts and souls in bringing Fort Rucker and industry to this area. I taught school in Enterprise for twenty five years. I loved every year in service to the children of Enterprise and to the community to which they belonged. Over the years, my family and I have moved from neighborhood to neighborhood. Sometimes it was happy and sometimes not so much. The one thing I could always count on to make any move, buy, or sale easier, less complicated, and efficient was Becky Hancock. While Becky is not native born, she is a native. Becky has consistently emotionally invested in this community and financially invested the business life of this community. I cannot truly convey how valuable her advice and counsel have been. If there is one thing I can tell you about the real estate market in Enterprise, it is to call Becky Hancock. She will serve your interests and do everything in her power to make your dreams come true. read more

We have been renting for almost a year now with this property management company and we have no complaints. Every time a work order is called in it gets addressed promptly. The employees here respond quickly to any questions or concerns that you have. My overall experience with them is best described as poor and unresponsive service. With the exception of maintenance, when I would contact the company, I was usually met with unprofessional customer service or simply did not receive responses. Even while I was giving my 30 day notice, it took me several attempts to contact them, twice via email and twice via phone, to receive any information or paperwork. God forbid there was a service ticket it was like pulling teeth to get anything done. When the townhome was turned over to me it was a pig sty and they expect you to return it like a castle. They walk the property without you prior to making you sign with what seems a mortgage and they walk it by themselves when you leave so they can rib you blind of your deposit. In conclusion, if you would like to rent from Becky Hancock, I highly recommend you put aside money for a lawyer or a large payment at the end. But frankly, you're better off never dealing with this company. Becky Hancock Realty is an outlier in poor performance. Someone who is out to steal your money in the long run. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

A few things really bugged me about this realtor. Even before coronavirus they were really hard to contact. When I had ants and put in a maintenance request, I got nothing back, finally reached them and they told me "it's summer, you're gunna have ants. Go get some raid." UNACCEPTABLE! When I moved in I explicitly asked about putting holes in the wall, and I mean racks and maybe a nail, nothing big, they said it was fine so I did but when I moved out, they charged me $550 to repaint the walls.... what?! There's certain levels of damage a house takes over time. This shouldn't be taken from the renter to the vent! One of the charges was from the closet that holds the water heater/cooler/ac, I'm not even in that closet but heaven forbid there be damage inside there from god knows what!? Overall my final out charges were more than $3000. Maybe good for home owners but as a renter I'd really beware. This was ridiculous. I'll be sleeping in the hotel on post nightly instead next time bc it's that much less expensive. read more

Rudest Realtor I had ever encounter. I was warned by some Military Buddies of mine here to stay clear but accidentally called when house hunting. We got yelled at for calling too many times, twice in a hr cause we were going down our list to make calls. As well if you hate your job so much and treat people like crap maybe you need to find a new job read more

I've sadly dealt with them for years. They are always extremely slow to do everything except take money from you. You will call numerous times over the course of weeks and not get a response. Zero communication with renters. Will nickel and dime your deposit down to nothing. I'd leave zero stars if possible.

Terrible service. I moved in around may 2016. Put in a work order to have the backyard fence repaired and it's still broken. Called 3 weeks ago to have my AC fixed because it's freezing over. It's also been leaking into my carpet. I've had to put my trash can underneath it so it doesn't leak into the carpet anymore. Still haven't received a call from the repair man, orrrr them. Lastly, my lease was up in May. It's July, and they still haven't "reached the owner" to renegotiate the rent. Seems like they write my work orders on a sticky note and put them in the shredder as I'm standing in front of them. Who cares about service to veterans, etc. that I keep seeing, when they can't maintain simple service they agree upon. read more

I think a more appropriate response would have gone a little something like this, "Marie, we are so sorry about the unnecessary delay and stress we caused you during your hectic move from Montana, please accept a complete refund of the application fee." Considering your company cost me over $1,400 in hotel expenses, I'd say that's the very least you could do. read more

DO NOT rent from them. They took our entire security deposit even though we worked hard to make sure everything was up to their standards and hired one of their cleaners (which costs $350 + carpet cleaning for $150: make sure you you plan for those expenses). They charged us for windows which were already trashed before we moved in AND we had documented in the checklist before we moved in. They've ignored all our calls and won't call us back. IT'S NOT WORTH the headache that they caused us before we moved out. DON'T DO IT!!!!!! read more

There should be an option for zero stars... This is by far the worst management company I've ever had to deal with. If you have any issues at move in make sure you don't sign anything until they fix it. We handed in our move in checklist with a long list of items they missed, then called a week later after they didn't do anything to correct the issues, and got someone who acted like we were bothering her, told us she didn't know anything about it, and she'd have to have someone call us back. Then 3 tries later with the same results we spoke with the woman who was actually supposed to be overseeing our property who snapped at us, and said she didn't know what we were talking about since she wasn't there when we turned in the paperwork.... Seriously? You don't look at your own files? You can't see if any work orders were opened? To this date nothing has been done. We also had a small flood that ruined the flooring on the entire first floor... they dragged their asses getting anything done. We eventually got ahold of the owners to let them know what a lovely job Becky Hancock was doing. As someone who works in property management I can tell you these people are terrible, and lacking in any kind of skill it takes to do their jobs. Long story short, do NOT live in any of their homes. Unless you enjoy constant arguments with inept people. read more

I am a property owner using Becky Hancock Realty to manage our property. Few things that annoy me. Once you get a tenant, there is no requirement for them to prove they change the utilities in their name prior to getting keys. When I worked for a property management company, we required confirmation of utilities being switched to the tenant's name before they could move in, but that might not be the norm, I don't know. So the tenant ended up living there for weeks running up the utility bills and we had to pay. It took months and many emails and phone calls to have this fixed. I pay $100 a month for this PMC to take care of these things, I should not be the one chasing down the tenants and property manager to handle this.Instead of asking the tenant to give them a prove that they change the utilities, I was the one who was tracking the bills, calling Enterprise Water Works million times,... it was just a mess. Second thing that disappoints me is that the first manager we had left but nobody told us, so here I am emailing the 1st manager about the bills with no response. Then I found out she doesn't work there anymore. I told the new manager I am really disappointed and frustrated, not only with the tenant living there with us paying the utilities, but that no one told us I'm suppose to be chasing down a new property manager. She got snappy with me, saying she is not the company, she is her own person and I should not get frustrated with her etc. So I apologized. What I wanted was to not have to deal with the utility thing in the first place, when that got messed up, at least fix it, when our manager leaves, please let us know, and when that doesn't happen either, please own up to it and at least apologize, instead of having an attitude with me. Months later, I get an email I had questions about so I emailed the 2nd property manager with no response again. Month of waiting, I called the company again to find out, we have a new-3rd-property manager, that again no one told us about. I do believe we made a wrong choice by going with Becky Hancock to manage our property, but living so far away, I don't think I want to deal with transitioning to another PMC. We'll see. read more

We are in the military and we had the absolute WORST experience ever with this company. From the get go, the staff was unfriendly and just wanted us to sign the rental lease. We should've known from that point to walk away. There were numerous times we put in work orders (no hot water, paint issues, etc) and were either ignored all together, or took over a week to respond and get anyone out to help. When it came time to move out the lady was very high-maintainance and wouldn't even shut the manual garage door by herself (I guess she didn't want to break a nail). We asked important questions about how much was going to be taken out of our deposit for mandatory carpet cleaning etc., and every time she just replied with "I have no idea"....thanks for being knowledgable about your job...... P.S. if you have pets, DO NOT RENT from these people. There is an outrageous pet "fee" that is non-refundable and they don't use ANY of that for repairs or "mandatory" pest control after you leave. In conclusion DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WON'T GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK AND THEY ARE TERRIBLE TO WORK WITH. read more

We did just finally get the drainage problem in backyard fixed, it was a very frustrating process, but it's finally done! I understand that this was an extenuating circumstance, but it shouldn't have taken over a year to fix, also I felt as if I hadn't stayed on top of our property manager to resolve the issue, the problem would have just fallen by the wayside like it had for so many months previously. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before I called them. The reviews are right! This place is terrible. Useless individuals. My wife and i are independent artists who moved back to the Wiregrass after 4 years in Chicago. We wanted to pay everything up front meaning no need for monthly payments, and they wouldn't even talk to us. Literally showed us the door and said they would shred our information. Any realty company that can't understand 1 in the hand is worth 2 in the bush is too business stupid to do business with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Also they respond to yelp reviews with foolish comments. The owner couldn't understand if we have that much money to drop up front we could have EASILY done it monthly. They though didn't take the time to think it through, and instead showed us the door. Once again STUPID COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

I recently moved out of the apartment and no doubt, along with everyone else's reviews, they found a way to take my entire security deposit and then some. The service is slow (took 5 months from first notification to completion to fix my flooded floor where visible black mold was growing) they charged me for repairs I didn't even cause, and told me they hired someone for yard work multiple times but after a year and a half, no one ever came to do it. Would not recommend renting from them to anyone read more

Horrible property managers. almost 3 months to get a dishwasher fixed, I had to call and remind them like every 2 weeks about it. I also did a move in check list and there are still tires in my back yard from that inspection and they still haven't removed them read more

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I read the reviews and heard the stories about this rental company and chose to ignore them. I would say this company has policies and procedures in place that I feel do not fully support the military community. I was going to rent the home on 402 Legacy Drive, Enterprise AL and within 7 days of my deposit, almost a month before I was set to move in, I was instructed I would be placed on orders within 90-120 days. I went to the rental company immediately and let them know, if I moved in I would most certainly be moving out within 90 days. I did not feel this would be fair to the homeowners as they would have to pay to relist the house and they expected to have tenants for a year. I offered to pay for the loss of rent and listing fees on this property until it was re-rented from my 1500.00 deposit. The company has a policy that the owner is entitled to keep my entire deposit. I did sign this policy because I had every intention to move. The home was rented 9 days from the date I was supposed to have originally moved in, so now the owners have my 1500.00, they have their rent paid and a second deposit from their current renters. As a Soldier, I do not ask to be treated special but consideration should be given, because any point we may be required to move when told without question. Yes, the realty company has a military clause but, in this sitatuation, I was trying to look out for the owner and I was the one that lost out at the end. The bad part of it all was the owner is career military as well. I will never do business with this company again and I would recommend any Soldier moving to Fort Rucker; "look at other companies in the area." There are at least two that are more military friendly. read more

As previously stated in other reviews, don't expect to get much of your deposit back. They're extremely slow to respond when you have any questions or concerns, and will write you off the moment you move out. read more

I absolutely despised dealing with these people. They were terrible about calling you back, even if you left them a message. When we moved into the property, there was an issue with the back door locking. A strong wind could blow it open, literally. When we moved in, the carpet by the back door was soaking wet and moldy, because the door had blown open in a storm and the carpet was never cleaned. They said that the door would be replaced and the carpet cleaned and bleached within the week, it was a Tuesday. By the following Monday, they had done nothing about it and when I called them they basically just said they were working on it. I understand that sometimes things take a while to organize logistically, but at least call the tenant and let them know what is going on with the maintenance. Especially when they have mold growing in their carpet. We lived in the property for one year and the manager was changed twice, without us ever being notified. We had some issues with the siding in December and called them about it. We never heard back about what they were doing to fix it so we called back in around February. The former manager had left the company and never passed the information along to the new manager. The new manager said they would get it done right away, and fix the microwave that had just gone out. The microwave was fixed within a few days, but they never did anything about the siding other than come and get an estimate. We called back around a month later and they said that the job had been closed, even though nobody had fixed a thing. After multiple calls and switching to yet another property manager, the siding was replaced about three weeks before we moved out in August. The worst part about the whole thing was that they took advantage of us upon moving out. When we moved in there were some patches in the wall where the paint didn't match. I understand that it was my wife and I's fault that we didn't write all of the individual discrepancies down or take a picture, but when we moved out, they charged us to repaint two rooms, the hallway, and the entire inside of the garage. Not only did they give us a house with some damages, they then charged us to fix it. We are newly married and were first time renters and I think they realized that they could take us for a ride and there wouldn't be a whole lot we could do about it, because we didn't do anything to protect ourselves. Bottom line, do not rent from these people. They are a horrible company who I am glad I don't have to deal with anymore. read more

IF there was an option for zero stars they would get it. By far the worst rental company I have ever dealt with. The staff is unfriendly and not helpful at all. Any and all issues I had with the house never got fixed if I tried to go through them. The only way things got fixed were either out of my own pocket or by calling the home owner herself. After moving out of the house they attempted to charge me for a pet deposit which had already been paid and for "damages" to the property that were there when i moved in and documented. Do not rent from them. read more

I bought my first home with Becky Hancock Realty. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone. I spoke to Becky herself and told her of my situation and that we were on a tight deadline. My wife was six months pregnant and we were getting ready to leave town for a month on summer vacation. Becky set us up with Sheree Robinson. Sheree was very easy to talk to and she was very patient and helpful in our deadline. She returned all my phone calls and texts promptly and was able to set up viewings of all our picks within that day, if not then it was the next day. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer whatever questions that we asked. Once we found a home she set us up with a great mortgage broker. They were able to get us all set within our time restraint. Great company to deal with. Thank you Becky Hancock Realty. read more

My wife and I recently moved into town and had been looking at rentals in the few months leading up to the move. In looking up reviews for the local property management companies we were fairly nervous with what people had said. We walked in without an appointment on our first day in town and waited maybe 5 minutes to be escorted back. We were met by Tonya Turk who wrote down the houses we had found online and also took the liberty of picking a couple more that we had missed and thought we would like (which was great because we ended up picking one of those). She drove us around town (the only person we met with at multiple companies who escorted us) which allowed us to talk about the town and where good places to eat are. Things that us newbies wouldn't have figured out for a while. Overall she made us feel very welcomed and comfortable in a new place and looked out for our best interests. If you are coming in to town and are looking for a company and agent to work with (buying or renting) Tonya is your lady. read more

Don't do it. Seriously. Just don't. I know, you're thinking "they can't be that bad, it's only ___ months or years I'll be here. What's the worst that could happen?" DON'T GIVE IN. Find someone else to rent through. Your time, energy, and sanity can be better spent than wasting away precious hours dealing with this awful business. I would give 0 stars if possible. It's unfortunate the friendly front desk staff are the only bright spot in this business. As many others have said, this business should NEVER be in your consideration when renting in the Enterprise area. They are dishonest, incompetent, and take advantage of the low volume of competition in the rental market along with a large number of new military renters in order to keep their business afloat. After renting through them twice in the last 6 years, we will never make that mistake again and encourage anyone moving to the Wiregrass to look elsewhere. If you do rent through them... don't expect prompt, courteous service; honest, clear business practices; and do not ever expect to see your full security deposit again. read more

Do NOT rent from or use this company to manage your rental property. Should be black listed by the Military. They are the most unprofessional realtor companies we have ever dealt with. If you can reach them. It will take them for ever to respond. Called for plumbing issues, fumigation and sone other small things about two months ago. They still haven't called back. They've done this to many people and it is getting ridiculous. I've never met a company so money hungry. They will tell you one thing one day and then change it the next. The worse realtor in town. I would rather sleep in a tent under a bridge with other homeless than to give one penny of my money to this woman. My husband is a high ranking person at fort Rucker. I say that to make sure you understand money was not a problem. We spent two days with ms hall a realtor there and on the third day she couldn't pronounce our name. It's Kane. It's 4 letters!! I called Becky Hancock to complain. It's insulting. Her reasoning was simple. Ms hall made so little money on a rental it really isn't worth her time to know us. DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY THROUGH BECKY HANCOCK REALTY!!! I could leave a looong, specific rant here but I will try to stick to the basics. For some reason, they cannot seem to keep any property managers except for Belinda. She was polite but did next to nothing and was NEVER available. When I asked the receptionist why this was, I was told that the other property manager(s) had quit and she was the only one left. While this explains a lot, it's still not my problem. The house we rented was nice outside but hadn't been painted inside in years, the carpet was ridiculously old and ragged in some areas, etc. These things were supposed to be addressed to some degree though they never promised they would be completely replaced or repainted. However, once we moved in they were entirely forgotten. I myself bought and replaced 27 broken/missing cabinet handles throughout the home, towel bars, etc. out of my own pocket purely for quality of life sake. I also caulked, painted a bit, etc. When we left they not only kept our $800 deposit but charged us another $180 on top of that! I was completely flabbergasted!! Except for shampooing that threadbare carpet, I didn't expect any charges because we cleaned it ourselves and it was so much better than when we moved in. I immediately called to dispute the charges and of course Belinda never returned my call, no one did. Instead, they sent us to collections after 30 days! I had heard that no one ever gets a deposit back because they are struggling financially and I believe this to be true. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the receptionists were always kind and the few times I had to call for emergency maintenance they sent nice people in a timely manner. I could go on but basically this is a VERY shady company, with a poor reputation that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. For the record, I did research and was aware of their below average ratings before renting but timing forced us to take a chance on the available property and this is what happened. read more

NEVER rent from these people. They must get kick backs from vendors. My lawn mower broke so I asked them to put in a work order to mow. Like an idiot I didn't get an estimate first. $160.00. I called two other companies to get an estimate $55.00. Upon moving in I took pictures of the home and asked them to let me see theirs so I would know they matched. Would never return my calls or see me when I went to their office. Now I rented for 6 months only. I never hung a picture on the wall. Made sure no scratches on walls. Never even used three rooms in the home. Upon moving out, they said we (my 38 year old son and I) ruined the living room carpet and had to replace it at over $1400.00. This room was only 10x15 ft. They kept my $1000.00 deposit. They really should be blacklisted. read more
