I was a bit cautious because as always there are a few bad google reviews - but as with anything that has reviews sometimes people just come out unhappy. I was in a time bind and Carney's was able to squeeze in my inspection within a 24 hour notice, the fastest of any mechanic in the area for my particular situation. I was quoted $49.95 and the mechanics were helpful and provided professional service. Most of all - after a one hour thorough inspection by Mike (head mechanic I assumed) the charge was still the same price they told me on the phone yesterday; a very honest mechanic. Mike recommended I get a basic vehicle check and the workers were all very friendly and performed excellent work. For that reason I'm giving this shop 5 stars. I'm not from the area, but if I'm ever in Pickney again and need service - I'll come back to Carney's. They assessed my vehicle thoroughly and I will most likely return to get the few tweaks in my vehicle looked at before the next season. Their quotes were very reasonable considering parts and labor and that certified mechanics perform the work. If you get a chance and you're in the area, drop on by!

At least do an inspection if you can't figure out how to do electrical.. on a sidenote for the year it was sitting there my 200 something dollar battery was shot!

I know everyone by their first names, they all know my children's names and cars. I have bought over a doZen cars from them, I have recommended them to friends, coworkers and given them praise on Facebook!! Soo.. Friday I took my car in with a flat tire, to which I have the " tires for life" and "Mopar Max extended warranty" programs! I have always did all the BULLSHIT maintenance they required! ( Which is usually $300-500 yearly) Along with taking my flat in, I took in my son's Dart which was acting up! The exhaust was leaking, no heat, ect.. ( FYI, my son bought both programs also!! ) So we dropped both off, and on our merry way we went Skip ahead a few hours and I get a text saying my tire was not going to be replaced because the nail was borderline on the sidewalk! ( (Which of course is wishing-washing) and since the tire still has tread they won't honor it!! To say the least I was PISSED!!! OH! HANG ON IT GETS BETTER !! Then they come back to tell me the dart would need A and B, but C won't be covered and that will cost me almost $700 dollars ( FYI MOPAR MAX PROGRAM!!) * REMEMBER THEY CALL MY SON AND I CONSTANTLY TRYING TO GET US TO BUY A NEW CAR!! SO.. again I'm pretty pissed ! I try to talk to someone, anyone!! No one was able to call me, this was Friday early afternoon and no one could be found! I left messages for Dan Hall- owner, Jake- service manager, Paul- parts manager, and no one called me ever!!!!!!! REMEMBER OVER 25 YEARS!!! So.. I made some calls, found a dealership that was willing to help, I got a tow- truck, I took my Dart from Pinkney and delivered it to Brighton Chrysler dealership!! They were great!! My Dart is home and fixed and guess what???? My Dart problem was because Pinkney did shitty work when they fixed it before, and the exhaust leak that Pinkney wanted $700 to fix, will be fixed for less than $100 next week!! MORAL OF THIS STORY SHAME ON PINKNEY CHRYSLER FOR TREATING A LOYAL CUSTOMER LIKE THIS!! Douglas Roberts is rolling in his grave right now! Shame on me for thinking loyalty meant something to these guys! I am deeply sadden by the way I was treated!

Apparently you can't take certain cars built after 2017 to a regular auto shop to figure out what wrong. You have to go through a ram Dealership. If that is the case, I'm confused as to why you're charged a diagnostic fee when a regular autobody shop could do that for free. We took our truck in to get looked at, and they kept it overnight because they couldn't get to it in time. Lack of service here is laughable at best. But that's not what you'll get with Randy. Randy is a stand up guy and drove 30 miles to get my Honda Civic from Howell to its Swartz Creek destination for WAY WAY less. He asked what was going on with my car, offered to jump it, got to me right when he said he would, and was an all around pleasant guy to chat with. Very professional, reasonably priced, and an all around great person to call when your car needs a lift. Don't be like me and have your insurance try to rob you out of pocket. I didn't even know they contacted such a great service before sending my request to some other towing company that would have bled my wallet dry. I'm lucky that Randy gave me a call or I would still be waiting days for a tow. I recommend anyone in the service area of Brighton Towing to call them personally and get reimbursed later if you have roadside coverage. Assuming you can't get customer service to reach out to Brighton Towing on their own. Great service, great driver, and a business worth supporting.
