The nearest streetcar stop is the Crossroads, so it's only a couple of blocks to walk, eezy peezy. Service is friendly and timely, you can cheer for the locals or whatever else might be on a screen at that time, and enjoy one of dozens of self-service taps. Get a beer card from the bar or your server, grab a glass from the rack to the left of the taps, put your card on the reader, pull the tap, and ZAM! Bob's your uncle. Pull for just a pint or sample up & down the line and just know you're paying by the ounce. What's not to like? Taps on Main has a strong wing game and they're serious about keeping it that way. There are almost a dozen sauces or rubs that you can get, and order your wings by 10 or 20. I'm one for sweet heat, so the Korean Gochujang is my target. Wings are sauced nicely, not smothered, and a basket of 10 wings is gracious plenty for a 'serving'. Pick a dipper if you need one, or add a buck for more than one, but the wings are very well executed and arguably should be talked about more in KC wing convos. Great wings, great beer selection, and great location. Winning all the way around.

Every time I visit KC, whether for business or pleasure, I always seem to end up stopping by Streetcar. Not because it is phenomenal at any level, but because it is comfortable, consistent, well priced and a solid place to grab a drink and/or bite while in the area. They have a plethora of beers on tap and a full bar, so any cocktail you can think, they can make. For food, they have your standard bar fare focused menu with wings, sandwiches, burgers, etc...and while those style of items make up majority of the menu, they do offer a few entree style items such as pork chops, chicken dishes, pasta and more. Food is standard, I've had the burger, wings and nachos over my visits and they are all as expected, nothing more nothing less. The space is open, and definitely has the feel of a local sports bar. It's worn in places, but well kept and clean. And they own the sports bar feel as they have copious amount of large TV's lining every wall, so you aren't going to miss a moment of whatever you are after sports wise. Service friendly and efficient. Servers are usually on top of things and make things happen as needed. Bartenders are efficient and know what they are doing. While the name is a nod to it, FYI that they sit at the Kauffman Streetcar stop, which makes getting to and from pretty easy. Overall, I'm a fan of Streetcar. When I am after a no frills experience where I can enjoy a cold drink and/or decent bite, this is the spot in this area.

It was a little confusing at first getting everything set up and figuring out the controls, but once we got into it, it was a blast. The setup upstairs is really cool--it's somewhat separated, which helps you stay immersed, but there are still other arcade games up there so if you're waiting for your turn, you're not just standing around. One thing I really appreciated was the drink selection. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a TON of mocktail options, which honestly made the experience way better for me. It's not something every place puts effort into, so that stood out. The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of options to choose from. Downstairs has more of a full bar vibe with additional games and more space to sit and eat (no VR down there), so it's nice to have both environments depending on what you're in the mood for. There was a concert of some type happening on top of the World Cup madness and it was absolute pandemonium!! It was amazing! We walked in and found a table ourselves as the host was MIA and then asked someone to clean it for us. Eventually, Casey W. made his way to our table to take our orders. At first he said kitchen was closing and that our food would take about 45 mins but we didn't care and said we were fine with the wait. After all, it was 11:30 at night and the place was packed! Drinks: I was the only one that had a cocktail, my boys had beers. I had the "blue balls" which was pretty good! Food: we had the mango habanero and Wilson's sauce wings with fries and 12 inch pizza because he said they were out of the bigger one. Wings and fries came out first and were so hot and fresh. I loved the mango habanero with pieces of jalapeño on it. The Wilson's sauce wasn't bad either. The ranch though?!? Seriously, KC might have the best ranch I ever had! The pizza came out not too long after and it was SO good! It was thin crust, very fresh, with chicken, mushroom, and jalapeños. It had the perfect amount of sauce and the flavor was just soo good! Didn't even get a pic because it got attacked soon as it hit the table!

The waitress was a thin, young woman wearing a white top. I simply asked her whether the chicken came with a marinated sauce or whether the sauce for the bone-in wings came on the side. Instead of answering my question politely, she made faces, seemed irritated, and repeatedly said "what?" as though my question was unreasonable or difficult to understand. I understand that restaurants can be busy, but customers should still be treated with basic respect and courtesy. I was not rude to her in any way, and I was simply asking about the food before ordering. Her attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
