I have always been curious about the convenience store on CoCo's left side when you're staring right at it. Time 2 Time Convenience is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, according to the sign. It's perfect for students at York University who need something at odd hours of the day. I saw a mini van in front of the convenience store. A man was offloading bags of milk. After fetching my bubble tea at CoCo, I went into the convenience store. I was curious. I do like this store. Ice cream bars and Mr Freeze greeted me. It took me back to being a kid visiting my local convenience store. Sadly, prices aren't the same! What I like about this store is the selection of pop. When I see A&W cream soda, Dr Pepper strawberries and cream, and Crush in peach, grapefruit, and strawberry, I know that I've hit a gem of a store. I grabbed a bottle of Dr Pepper strawberries and cream. I didn't bother looking at how much sugar was in this beverage and how quickly I'd crash from a sugar high. I wanted the drink. This store also has patties in mild and spicy beef, chicken, and veggie. They looked good. Each patties goes for $2. I asked if I could get a mild beef. The man who was hauling milk into the store said that they weren't quite ready from the oven. He offered to microwave one. I decided to go with the spicy beef. I said that patties aren't as yummy nuked. He agreed. I paid for my goods. I rarely have cash on hand. This place charges 25 cents if you use your debit card to pay. If you're using a credit card, you get charged 75 cents for the transaction. A quarter didn't seem horrific. I tapped and was good. I thanked the woman behind the plexiglass. She wished me a nice evening. I reciprocated and headed to my car with bubble tea, pop, and a patty. I ate my patty in my car. The sleeve had a lot of information. If you want to sleep soundly, read it. My patty was yummy. It wasn't all that spicy. The beef was yummy. The dough part was perfect. I had my pop as I drove home. It does taste like strawberries and cream mixed in with regular Dr Pepper. It was enjoyable. I like this store. I'm glad that I dropped by to check it out. I'll be back. (187)

This Hasty…read moreMarket is next door to Wok of Asia, an eatery that I frequent often to get chilli chicken with rice. The last two times that I have dropped by Wok of Asia, I got a prime parking spot in front of the eatery, a few steps away from Hasty Market. After I had dinner at the former last night, I made a trip over to the latter to check it out. There's a lot going on at this convenience store. You can get Bitcoin through a kiosk. It's also a vape store. If you need your passport photo taken, this place handles it. Need a document printed, scanned, or even faxed? This store offers these services. Heck, I learned that I can get a key cut here. Crazy! I walked in. It felt like a convenience store. There were cases and bottles of pop, with candy behind the drinks. I liked that this store had Pepsi cream soda in both regular and zero sugar varieties. There was also a deal getting two bottles, so I took advantage of it. The beverage section is amazing. It was my first time seeing Fuze zero sugar. I felt like I had seen a unicorn. There's a fridge strictly for bags of ice. The dairy section is decent if you need eggs, milk, and butter. I saw caps on the wall representing your favourite soccer team. I also saw jewellery next to a bunch of scratch lottery tickets. I don't know whether it'll tarnish as you wear it. I waited a bit before a nice woman greeted me. I saw an Aero bar going for $1. I got one. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and all was great. She put my goodies in a plastic bag, which was nice. I thanked her and left. I have consumed the Aero bar. It was yummy. It was a good $1 purchase. I have tried one of the bottles of Pepsi cream soda that has zero sugar. It's good. The cream soda is subtle, but I dig it. I'm so glad that I dropped by. It's a cool store and a hidden gem. (92)

Markham recently lost its sole 7-Eleven store. My closest one to home requires my heading east to…read morePickering and doing a brief road trip. My fellow Yelper, Jenny H., carefully noticed my Tic Tac pics over the past months. She shot me a quick message to let me know that 7-Eleven was giving out a free box of Tic Tac candies. The catch was that you needed to flash your 7-Eleven app to be eligible. The good thing about working in Mississauga is that I can cut across the GTA heading home and eventually hit a 7-Eleven. I did a search and found this one on Wilson, just west of Jane. I had been to a team-building event at Playdium an hour earlier. I was still thirsty and craved getting a Slurpee. I pulled into the parking lot. There was lots of parking. There was a woman sitting on the front step of the store. I also saw a telephone in front of the store. You just knew that this store has been there for a while and is a neighbourhood staple. I walked in and headed to the drinks area. I typically get the cream soda Slurpee, which is my favourite. I saw the banana flavour and immediately knew that I needed it. I am the one who loves getting a banana popsicle at a gas station, so this experience was an extension. I got a large. I put the cap on. I couldn't find any Slurpee straws. I had to look up and to my left. There was a carton of them. If you are shorter, you probably wouldn't even know that they were there. If you're six feet tall, you'd see them just fine. The floor in the drink area was sticky. I simply heard my sneakers stick to the floor and release as I walked in and out of the area. I went to pay. The guy was friendly. I asked about the Tic Tac deal. He asked to see my app. I had him scan my barcode to get credit for my Slurpee (buy seven and your next one is free). He then pointed to the table to my right to pick up my box of Tic Tac candy and get it scanned. I went with the fruit version. I had my banana Slurpee as I drove home. It was so good. It may be my new favourite flavour. Coincidentally, as I pulled away from this 7-Eleven, there were cop cars talking to a couple of men on Dallner Road. I felt safe during my entire time there. If you're in the area, you should feel the same way, too. (281)

I love 7/11 but this store is terrible. Lets start with the coffee. Usually 7/11 has several types…read moreof coffee to choose from, but this location will usually have 2 choice at any given time, and the area around the coffee and hot chocolate areas always seem to be messy, and not kept up. Now lets talk about the staff. There is nothing worse when the staff is not aware of current promotions (for example this week there was a sign indicating that Smart Water was only a $1 with any hot beverage purchase) The person at the front counter continued to argue with me, before finally reluctantly giving me the promotional rate that was clearly advertised. The only reason I even come to this location is because its close to my office, but if things don't improve here I will not be coming back here at all. How hard is it to keep the coffee area clean and to stay on top of the current promotions???
