It's roughly a five-minute drive north of Hillcrest Mall. This store is a part of an Esso station. It has a touchless car wash, a vacuum, and a Tim Hortons with a drive-thru. Parking is interesting. There is one spot to the left of the store for a driver with an accessibility permit. On the right are two garage doors. Two cars were parked in front of each door. There are parking spots across from the gas station by the car wash. I backed into a spot and walked over. The Timmy's is a part of the store, next to the Circle K cashout area. Timmy's was pretty busy with customers. I had no problem finding beverages. I got two bottles of Diet Pepsi and a berry Gatorade Zero. I waited in line. There was a woman leaving Timmy's who was pleasant. She was carrying a lot of goodies. I asked if she needed help getting out of the store. She was fine and thanked me for offering to help. On the contrary, I opened the door for a young Chinese female going into the store who did not say thank you. I said, "You're welcome." Our eyes met. I figured out that her brother was the kid twirling around in the Timmy's line. It runs in the family. Ugh. Our eyes met again when they both left the store after me. I let her know that she had poor manners. I also stared her down when she was in the backseat of her mom's car leaving the gas station. Fun in Richmond Hill! Quite the contrast. I'm not your personal door person. I was carrying drinks and still managed to open the door for you. I was being nice. I didn't have to be kind to you. The LEAST you could do is say thanks. Instead, you acted like a privileged teen. I digress. I do feel better venting. Back to my review... The man at the checkout was super nice. He said hi. He asked me how I was doing. I was great then. I got my drinks scanned. I also scanned my PC Optimum barcode and paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked him. He wished me a great evening. I reciprocated. My berry Gatorade zero hit the spot. It was my first time trying it. I liked it. I'd return to this store when I'm in the area again. Customer service was great and I got the drinks that I needed. The soft-opening was on 2025-04-07 and grand opening was on 2025-04-12. 90% of the Thai groceries (ready-to-eat food, canned goods, dried goods, and frozen goods) are imported from Thailand. The customer service was good. We even found a Thai cough suppressant pills ($3.00), that are very hard to find in Toronto. The last time we found it was 10 years ago in Markham! They rent space to three other Thai restaurants: KATI Thai Gelato, The Gluay, and Hi Hoi Tod. There is no free WiFi. The store is not wheelchair accessible (there is one little step at the entrance). If you think of the latter as being all the yummy Filipino donuts, it may help. However, I ended up getting cantaloupe bubble tea and a grab-and-heat-up-later pinoy hot dog in a bun. I still can't tell which part of the business those items are a part of. Maybe that's the point. You aren't supposed to tell. It's supposed to be a seamless experience. There is parking behind this store. I made a right turn on Ranee Avenue, followed by a quick right turn to access the parking lot. I got there just before 5 pm on a weekday. This lot was busy. I nabbed the only spot available, which was tight. I backed into it fine and walked in. There are Filipino snacks, such as chicharron and candy bars, that made me happy. I would have bought the former, except that it was salt and vinegar. I was in a garlic mood. My other weakness snackwise is prawn crackers. This place has Oishi. I can devour a bag easily. If you want bottled drinks or Tylenol, you can get them all at this store. All fish varieties and forms are available, which isn't a shock to me, but the selection is amazing. From dried whole fish, to cans of tuna and sardines, you are completely covered. Filipino spaghetti is my favourite. I saw a package of Filipino-style spaghetti sauce, which made me smile. The sauce is more on the sweeter side. It was nice to know that when I'm ready to make my own that I can and not completely butcher it. It's your one-stop place for Filipino groceries, snacks, food, and drinks. I met Kenneth and Fatima, the owners behind this store. They were super nice and kind. Fatima offered to heat up my hot dog, but I wanted it for later. I wanted the cantaloupe bubble tea. It seemed different. I got 30% sweetness, which is not my usual drink order. I felt that I needed something sweeter this day. She made my bubble tea with came with boba. It was refreshing and yummy. It was the perfect drink driving home. I was a bit skeptical that it wouldn't be yummy when I saw it in powder form. However, it dissolved perfectly and was smooth. The boba was chewy and enjoyable. I paid with a debit card. My transaction was seamless. I had the pinoy hot dog in a bun for breakfast the following day. I heated it up and it was delicious. The bun was soft and perfect. The hot dog was plump and yummy. The cheese on top sealed the deal. There was a hint of mustard with each bite. Yummy! This place is on Ritual. Next time, I'll need to place an order through it. FK Dulce and Tropa are listed together on this app, so it's almost as if the listing should be mashed together on Yelp for these two places, too. They are that tightly knit. (154)

The store is located in a mostly Filipino neighbourhood. Tropa is slang Filipino or Spanish for friend/pal. There are your typical chips, Pocky Sticks, salted peanuts, cupa-soup, refrigerated drinks, toothpaste, soap bars, and Tylenol. But then there are mamon (little sponge cakes), ensaymada, Ube Cream Cheese cake slices, sauces, Toyomansi (soy sauce with lime), Milo drink powder, etc. The staff are very cheerful and helpful. During pandemic times, staff wear masks, there are plexiglass, and there are 2 hand sanitizer bottles. You can pay by cash, credit card, or digital. You can also order via food delivery apps. Inside the store is another business called FK Dulce Bakery selling Filipino baked goods. Both businesses are owned by the same owner. Give the baked goods a try, especially the Filipino donuts! There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but there is no door-open button. There are no customer washrooms. There is free parking in the rear in their own private parking lot. This place is a convenience store that also has a snack bar serving a good number of Asian snacks. When I walked in, there were three young females sitting at the snack bar eating cup noodles and watching an Asian drama. That was kinda cool to see in Toronto. I wanted to order 2 sausages on skewers for $1.50($1.99?), but they didn't have them that day. The owner recommended that I get the 3 mini sausages for $1.99, telling me that those were quite popular. I decided to go for that. He took what looked like a clay pot, put something (I wasn't paying attention, but I'm assuming the sausages) in, and put it in the microwave. I really wish I they didn't put my food in the microwave, but I'll survive. The final product I received was three sausages akin to longanisa (the Filipino small fat sausages) in a styrofoam cup, served with a skewer. It was nice of the man who made them to let me know they were really hot and to be careful. He also handed me tissues (a plus, because places like this usually make you get them yourself). Condiments on the side (ketchup, hot sauce, etc)., but I didn't grab any. The sausages were not as sweet as longanisa, and on the spicy side. Also really juicy. They made a fairly nice snack, but I'm not a fan of the microwaving. That being said, I'd be down to try some of their other foods (they also make things like laksa, popcorn chicken (Taiwanese style?), and fresh paninis).
