While trying on bridesmaid dresses, my non-bride sister and one of my engaged sister's friends were trying on dresses. Now the friend was a few sizes larger, which is no big deal to us, but apparently it was to the sales girl. She repeatedly made a point of coming out with several dresses and loudly saying things like, "These will work for our bigger bridesmaid and then these others are the small sizes," as she handed the dresses to them to be tried on. Several other customers looked stunned at the way she kept phrasing it. What's especially odd is that other employees were nearby and no one thought to take her aside and suggest that maybe the "bigger bridesmaid" had a name that could be used instead of repeatedly pointing out the fact that her size was slightly out of the single digit range. If you have a less than petite bridesmaid, I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere where you can be treated with a little more respect and dignity. I have no idea if this particular girl is still working there, but if the owners have any sense, they'll realize that her attitude cost them at least one big sale (4 bridesmaid dresses) and possibly many more with people who didn't speak up.

They mentioned that they have 800+ dresses in stock. I also happened to note the room where they have the samples they are retiring and sale to clients who need one in a shorter time or want to save some money--although these are of course limited by what size you're looking for but there looked to be a ton of options there. The stylists do a great mix of pulling/making suggestions for you and walking with you so you can look at options yourself. I worked with Megan during my first visit who was very attentive and had a great interpretation of what I was looking for in my random rambling. She texted a few weeks later to mention that the dress I had been most interested in would be part of an upcoming trunk show and would have a discount during that weekend. I was so impressed that she remembered and took the time to do that. I really felt like it was thoughtful and a personal touch. My second try on was great too. I really had a lovely experience. The shop has been in business for over 30 years. They partner with Savvi Formalwear so your groom/groomsmen can get discounts on their suits/tuxes. They did mention that as of May 2024 they will no longer be doing bridesmaid dresses.

She was nervous and upset because her wedding was in 4 weeks and her dress hadn't even arrived yet. That is scary on its own. The manager was literally yelling at the bride and we could hear everything. It was SUPER unprofessional. Our stylist even apologized... the bride said to us "do not buy here". We listened to her, obviously we do not want to go through that if we have issues too. The bride was in a crunch and literally showed up at our next appointment - she bought a different dress at the other shop. Like I mentioned - our stylist was friendly, but I don't even remember her name. We didn't connect. I felt comfortable at the other places and got to know the stylists and had conversations with them.

I have another daughter who will be getting married next year. We've started looking for her dress. We had a great experience at the first place she looked and definitely have some front runners. She had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Five us were there with her. None of us could believe how bad our appointment was. I can't even call her a consultant. She was a flat out sales person. She didn't listen to what my daughter was telling her. My daughter could barely breathe in one of the dresses and the sales gal went on and on about the dress. She literally said to her, "I can tell you don't even want to take it off" as my daughter was saying how she couldn't breathe in it. She was pushing the look over comfort. Most of the time my girl didn't like the look or feel the comfort. Brides are in their dress for hours and hours on their wedding day so of course comfort is important. There was a dress that my daughter kind of liked. She pointed out what she didn't like about it. The sales gal said that all kinds of changes could be made. Now, I know that each of those changes cost money, but she never mentioned that fact. She was also not respectful of my daughter's budget. The sales person was extremely pushy, a little rude, and dismissive. She almost seemed angry that we didn't purchase something that day. I have a third daughter. When it's her time to get married, I know where we won't be going.
