The attraction wasn't scary for us, but we still had a good time. Got through the whole thing (trailer & corn maze) in under 30 minutes.

The Haunted Farm - The Haunted Farm in NC's Best Haunted House!

    The Haunted Farm

This farm scared me so much I almost peed, first time every going and it was beautifulread more

The Haunted Farm is SO awesome!!!…read more My friends and I have been twice now and both times had such a super fun time. When you arrive on the farm, you'll park in a field and even as you walk up to buy tickets, there are people in costumes scaring you. It starts right away. Once you buy tickets, you'll join the line to enter. This may possibly be the most entertaining line you'll wait in. Be sure to use the porta potty before getting in line, because you'll probably be waiting for a bit. During the line, there are many spooky scary sounds playing, as well as screams for the guests going through the haunted farm. There are also staff in costumes there making it scary. The Haunted Farm is three parts (or it was when I went in the past). First is the haunted forest, then the haunted house, and then a hayride. My first visit to the haunted forest scared the crap out of me. There was a part with a werewolf figure in a strobe light that gave me a good scare for sure. There really is nothing like the adrenaline rush of being horrified (especially when deep down you actually know that you're totally safe). After walking yourself through the haunted forest, you enter the house. There is some serious TLC put into making this really, really cool. Each room has a different theme and story. One of the scariest for me was the demented dentist, geesh! The rooms range from the butcher shop to the neon clowns. As my friends and I walked through the house, we held hands creating a chain to keep each other safe, haha! The last part of the experience is the hayride which is the least scary to me but there are parts when creepy people come out of the field, jump on the hayride and get within inches of your face. So yeah, that's also scary. I feel like I just used the word 'scary' 50 times. I need to come up with some better words (it's 6am, give me a break) but my point is that this Haunted Farm is really freakin' cool and such a fun way to spend an October fall evening.

This is a great little stop. Fun for all ages. You walk through what seems like a mile of trails…read morewith a different dinosaur every few steps. There is information on each species and hands-on activities like dusting for dinosaur prints. Everything is on the honor system so your donation goes in at the beginning but they also have a gift shop which is really great considering that no one is there watching. It restores my faith and humanity to know that people are so honest. It does say this is a dog friendly activity, but a tied up barking dog on the other side of the fence made part of the journey a little bit difficult for my small dog. She was almost as frightened by the neighbor's dog as I was of some of the exhibits I went through that had sound and scared the heck out of me. They don't call it backyard terriers for nothing :) but it's all in fun. Don't be afraid of the parking even though it can get a little tight. We had fun and this is definitely an affordable way to kill some time and keep the kids busy while they learn.

It was free with a suggested 5 dollar donation. We donated before we knew what we were getting into but darn it, we were SO IMPRESSED!!! There must have been 50 dinos over acres and acres of land. I got in a good mile of walking there. What a fun way to spend an hour or two!

For starters this place is allowed to touch you, I guess years ago they would give people a glow…read morestick if you don't want to be touched. They also have a lot of minors that work within the corn maze and haunted house. It's $30 a ticket which is more costly than other places. We got in line at 8:15pm and finally went in at 8:55pm. We let a mom and son go with us because the poor boy was terrified. This wasn't "extremely scary" as deemed through facebook. But they do get in your face, touch you, follow you etc. They did scare the crap out of one girl as about 4 actors surrounded her, touching her(not inappropriately but making her uncomfortable), she was screaming her head off. One lady grabbed the mom, picked her up and pout her through a window frame. Attempted to pick up my bf (theres no way she was gonna be able to do that) rubbing his head. Him and my teen daughter were both spanked. Which I did laughed at. Watch your stepping because it is a lot of uneven surfaces. We were done with the haunted house at 9:18pm. The corn maze I woud say skip. People just jump out at you, we went in at 9:23pm and after about 10 minutes we were completely over it. A lot of people going through it kept asking the actors seriously how to get out but they wont tell us anything. Halfway a girl who we found out later was a teenager had asked my bf if she can rub his head and he said no that would be weird. She did it anyways. When I told him the next day when my daughter found her on tiktok that she was a teen it made him even more uncomfortable. As we are making our way though I figured out finally how to get the heck out. Some lady grabbed me saying Im grumpy, I said yea I wanna get the hell out of here Im beyond over it. She kept making comments I just kept walking as she clung to me. At that point if someone is pissed off, leave them the hell alone... don't grab onto them trying to keep them in there.

Instead of understanding that it was an accident, the actress immediately grabbed him, shoved him into a wall, and began choking him with both hands while yelling, "You think that's funny? I'll kick your ass out right now! You don't touch the actresses!" He repeatedly tried to explain that it was an accident and that he would never intentionally touch or harm anyone especially a woman. He had shoulder surgery just a few months ago, and being slammed into the wall could have caused serious damage. This behavior was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. While I understand that a waiver was signed and that safety is important for both guests and actors, there's absolutely no excuse for physical aggression. She crossed a serious line. Because of this, we will not be returning and I would not recommend this attraction to others.
