I am out of state, and dependent upon others, which is important to this review. I requested a contractor for roof repair via yelp, and received 3 contractor inquiries in a short period of time. I am fully on board with the contractor trope of "GOOD-FAST-CHEAP, You Pick 2", and this was going to have to be a FAST and GOOD job, so I was anticipating that it wasn't going to be CHEAP. I eventually settled on Buck Remodeling as they could get out to the location quickly- as in day or days, instead or weeks or month. The price was $1,000 to patch the roof in an emergency fashion and I was more than happy with the results. Extremely frustrating experience. This group does not have the experience or aptitude for higher…read moreend work. This was not a small project - about 4-6 weeks of work. Owner is a nice guy but.... The work was very inconsistent. The mortar varies in color throughout the work, which was on three sides of the home. The joint lines in the first phase look like the work of inexperience. The mortar lines are very sloppy - they missed many. Less than a year later, there are many areas that the mortar has failed. We have stone wall caps, that were to be reset, per the quote. They were not...perhaps two small pieces were. These top caps were loose within a week after they left. This spring the mortar is literally falling out of the joints. With the multiple issues of the mortar color - some of the worse are these bluestone caps. They used a white mortar that looks ridiculous. They didn't lift the caps to replace the failed mortar under them. They just re-pointed them from the sides.....not even taking the time to straighten them. These guys need to use levels, tap measures and have better eyes. Lastly was the overall worksite management. They maybe cleaned up 70% of the way. Left a mess around the work areas. They need to sue tarps to protectbthe area. We are still picking up pieces of mortar on the ground. Parked on our lawn, after I asked them not to. Used a path in the lawn, that was just reseeded and that had to be redone. We trimmed some shrubs near the work for them. I asked them to let me know if they needed more space. No word about it from them....they just broke off the limbs of our mature shrubs bothering them. Warranty? Apparently not. Nick stopped returning texts and messages. I expect he is embarrassed and doesn't want to deal with the re-work needed. He should be embarrassed, but he should also step up and be responsible for these issues. Again....nice guy but

We had previously met with Scott Bourque, the owner, but were not quite ready to get our concrete installed. When we we ready, we called Scott, who promptly got over to see us. We met on a Wednesday and he had a crew over to our home on Thursday. Now you probably can't expect that type of timing, but we wanted this job done ASAP and Scott was able accommodate our request. Scott was here, first thing in the morning, to introduce us to his crew chief, provide guidance and suggestions to ensure we had a great experience. The crew that did our work was awesome. You could tell they had worked together for a long time and definitely had "chemistry". Very good communication throughout the process. Our price was very competitive and reasonable. We were initially so excited about working with Community Roofing, but our new gutters and roof…read moreended up damaging our home and are quickly becoming an eyesore. We expected our roof and gutters to last longer than three years, and unfortunately that is not the case. We invested in seamless gutters that were supposed to be customized and properly secured to our building, but that is not at all what we received. Community Roofing did not properly fasten the gutters to the fascia, so they are falling off of the building. In some sections, Community Roofing sloped the gutters toward our house instead of the downspouts, creating water intrusion problems. The shingles are already starting to look shabby and some have nails starting to protrude. The customer service has been even worse than the workmanship. We reached out to Community Roofing repeatedly and they just blew us off.
