Now that my husband and I have settled into life together I can do this review. My mom did a review…read moresome time ago but this is from my perspective! When I came to Jupiter Garden for a tour back in March 2024. I felt like it was the right place. We looked at many places, but this place fit our budget. I worked with Amber Williams, who coordinated everything, with which I had a great experience. She was with me every step of the way in planning. She went out of her way to get me information on anything I asked about. My wedding date was set for October 12, 2024. Everything ran smoothly up until a week and a half before my date. I received a call from Terry Badmus (the owner) stating that they let her go, which I was disappointed about. It's a business, and things happen. What I didn't like was that it seemed that I had to start my contract from scratch. I had received a text saying that I had a remaining balance, but everything was paid in full months before. I had to have an additional meeting with the owner to go over my whole contract. During this meeting, I was told I didn't have enough servers, had to pay additional for that, and was told one of the rooms we had was an additional 800. We opted out due to that additional charge not being part of the budget, and we still had catering, photographers, and videographers to pay for. And he was a bit unprofessional when it came to Amber. I didn't appreciate his berating of her service provided when I had a wonderful experience with her. He had another young lady take over for Amber. The young lady's name is Hiqmah, and although very nice, she dressed unprofessionally for our first meeting with the owner for the final walk-through as well as on the day of my wedding. On the rehearsal/setup day, we had to unexpectedly share that time with another bride and her family. It was frustrating because it was my time, and we got double booked. On the wedding day, we ran into some issues with tables and chairs for my guests, but the staff worked well to fix the issues before the guests arrived. Overall, my wedding was a success! The wedding ceremony took place in the garden courtyard, and the reception was inside. Pros: Decorum is included, and you get to pick what you want; it's spacious and accommodating for up to 200 persons; you can bring in your own food and or catering; you can do any additional decorations you want; staff was friendly and accommodating; dressing rooms were nice but could use a slight update. Cons: no kitchen, fridge, etc.; not many restrooms for a lot of guests; restrooms need an update.

Claims they have security there and that wasn't the case. I ran around all night doing there "jobs" and couldn't find anyone who actually worked for the venue the entire evening after the reception started. Lastly, they proceeded to lock all my stuff I thought as decorations and put it in there storage closet. Pretending they didn't know it wasn't their stuff. You cannot trust these people with your money or belongings let alone family members.

Here is my experience with them. 1) Portrait Bouquet. Simple task, right? Not for Bows & Arrows. Alicia must have forgotten to make it, because when I went to pick it up, it was not ready and she ran to the back, used last weeks flowers, and put something together in the wrong shades of pink, and NONE of the flowers I ordered were in there. Not to mention the flowers were wilted and dead. My wedding planner spoke with Alicia about her poor work and said that we would not be paying her until she performed to high standards at the actual wedding. 3 days before the wedding, she calls and says she has no flowers for our wedding and will not be doing it because she has not received payment. After much arguing with her, we payed her reluctantly and she promised to provide for us on the wedding day. 2)Wedding Day: First of all, I CRIED when I saw my bouquet. It was that horrible. The flowers were dead, wilted, and all wrong from what I had ordered. As I was taking pre-wedding pictures, myself and all my bridesmaids were having to rip flowers out of our bouquet because they were wilting and falling over. I was mortified that my dear friends had such pathetic flowers. Not to mention the bouquets were TINY and therefore even smaller once they started ripping out flowers. The alter arrangements were horribly lopsided as well. Ruined all my pictures.... I will say, her petals lining my aisle were outstanding. So was every arrangement at the reception. I gave her some credit for that. 3) Post-Wedding: Sent Alicia an email explaining my disappointment and hoped for reimbursement. I heard from someone in her office saying it was best if they never speak with me or my family again. HORRIBLE customer service. We are continuing to try... Needless to say, DO NOT USE HER! Find someone else!

Robyne Swink at Southern Affairs was seriously the perfect planner for us, and we could not have been happier! After chatting with 4-5 different planners in the Dallas area, I knew immediately that I wanted to work with Robyne. She not only has a bubbly and genuine personality, but she also emphasized that her goal was to make us happy. I'm very particular about certain things, so I never wanted to feel like I was coerced into making certain decisions about the wedding. She was definitely the only planner I talked to who I felt would give me solid guidance without being overbearing. I hired her for month-of wedding planning services, which primarily involved pulling together all the vendors right before the wedding and coordinating everything on the day of the wedding. However, that did not stop Robyne from going above and beyond. Right when I signed our contract, she immediately started helping me with some vendor suggestions and even offered to come to some of the meetings with me (and this was over a year in advance!). A handful of our vendors came from her suggestions list, and they were all amazing. Also, Robyne checked in on us every couple of months during our planning process, making sure we were on schedule with everything. I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my chest because I knew I could trust her to guide me through the process! Finally, on the day of our wedding, Robyne was the best. My husband and I did not have to worry about a thing! She brought two other people with her (including her husband Jeremy, who also happened to be our DJ) to help out, and they definitely had all bases covered. All of our guests and bridesmaids were really impressed with how smoothly (and on time) everything went. She managed to resolve some major issues (like our photobooth showing up 1.5 hours late) without worrying us. Robyne paid attention to every little detail and even helped me fix my dress after one of the bustles broke! She was seriously like Wonder Woman that night :) I would highly recommend hiring Southern Affairs for any of your event needs. I did not have a single complaint about the job that they did for us. Robyne was not only our wedding planner, but she and Jeremy became good friends in the process. She can pretty much work with any style and with any budget. We are so, so glad that we hired her!

Y'all, I don't know what I would've done without Brittany the last few months before my wedding. She's seriously so sweet and genuine, and she works hard to ensure you have a perfect and stress free wedding. I had two wedding ceremonies and I had a hard time finding a photographer for my first one. I asked Brittany for recommendations and within an hour she found the perfect photographer for me and put me into contact for her - it was such a lifesaver! One of my vendors didn't show up the night of my wedding and she handled it discretely and professionally to ensure I had fun on my wedding night. She was also able to calm me down when I was crying due to all of the frustration with the vendor. Those are just a couple of the things amongst many other things that Brittany helped me with. She's a jack of all trades. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator, look no further! Brittany, you are seriously such a gem and my wedding day wouldn't have been what it was without you!

We worked with them for about a year and a half, and they were so patient, open minded, and incredibly detail oriented the entire time. They really listened to what we wanted while also keeping us organized, on track, and making sure everything still felt elevated and classy. Katie and her team were always there to answer all of our questions and truly became our biggest advocates throughout the entire planning process. They even took the time to get to know our parents, which meant so much to us, and helped build trust with them along the way. It made the whole experience feel seamless and supported for everyone involved. They also went above and beyond in ways we didn't even expect. Katie and her team helped us find venues that weren't even on our original list and somehow just knew what would be the right fit for us. Katie has this amazing ability to light up a room and make you feel confident in every decision you're making together, which is honestly one of the best things you could ask for in a wedding planner. What meant the most to us was how much effort Katie and her team put into understanding all of our wedding rituals. Having an Indian wedding, this was really important to us, and they took the time to learn, respect, and execute everything so thoughtfully. It made us feel so seen and taken care of throughout the entire process. Katie and her team really went above and beyond with every detail that went into our wedding. I remember people asking me if I was nervous, and I would always say no because I fully trusted Katie and her team to pull off the best wedding weekend possible, and that is exactly what they did. They helped us build our dream team of vendors, and everything came together so seamlessly because of them. Anytime someone asks about our wedding weekend, we always say it exceeded our expectations and that is all thanks to Katie and her team. Could not recommend As You Wish more!

After Yes provided us with helpful spreadsheets for staying on budget and on track to getting everything done before the big day. The true measure of how helpful they are is that my husband can not stop raving about our wedding, saying how it was better than he expected and how he felt each vendor was more than worth what we paid them, all of which I attribute to After Yes. The two weeks leading up to our big day I was cool as a cucumber: no meltdowns, no crying, no stressing out. Without After Yes I doubt any of that would have been true. Even the day of the wedding went off without a hitch and without me feeling like I had to worry about anything going off as planned. I could go on and on and on and on but suffice it to say I think After Yes is an investment you will truly not regret.
