I would not have been able to complete my outdoor projects this year without Budget Lumber- Literally the only place in Southern Oregon with 2x12x14 cedar (for like $4 a foot!) and a great price for 4x4 cedar posts as well. The guy helping me acted like it was a huge deal to get a quote and when we went to get the wood, wouldn't let me check the wood I was purchasing. He stated this is not grade A lumber you get what you get. I understand this but if I am purchasing something, I don't want wood split in half from cracks and rotten wood as seen in the picture. Half the wood I purchased was rotten in the middle and can't be used. I won't be purchasing my fencing materials from them and will not be back for any of my future home remodel needs from them. Had we had a better encounter I would have been a loyal customer for years to come, very unfortunate. I would find another place to get your wood from.

The last complaint email sent to Mr. Rawls was dated 4-7-2020. This company appears not to have any customer skills, nor do they care about customer service and return customers. I have instructed my contractor not to pay the "quoted" receipt given until such time that we receive a written response back from Mr. Rawls regarding our complaint and issues. Future customers beware of un-knowledgeable staff regarding Timber Teck products and pricing and poor limited product displayed. 7-5-2020 update to above: Mr Rawls still has not contacted us but instead had one of office staff make a phone call to us. It is very apparent that customer service is not a strong key issue with Mr. Rawls. It is a good experience for us that we now know that companies that have been in business this long, in the area, does not always mean quality! Warning, we suggest that small infrequent customers should look elsewhere for products since it appears that Hughes only likes to deal with bigger orders and companies. Don't really understand how Hughes Lumber could stay in business this long with this type of customer service and attitude.

Nowadays, it's hard to find a hardware store that lets you claw out your own nails in bulk, but this place does. The downside of this type of hardware store is that it doesn't let you see or choose your own lumber before you buy it, as evidenced by this photo. The quality of the two pieces of fairly expensive pressure-treated wood that I purchased was so atrocious that I wondered if they had come out of the ground from somebody else's yard: cracked, splintered, missing parts of the wood, discolored, and bowed. Definitely give this place a look for hardware and tools; not so much for the lumber.

Husqvarna's corporate policy allows returns within 30 days, but they can't require a retailer to support their policy. The clerk remarked that the model we had bought is a "POS" so even the staff knew it was a substandard mower yet sold it to an 83 year old man. Doing research after the fact, the same mower at Lowes was $400 cheaper and Lowe's stands behind the products and respect customers. I bought cedar for raised beds from American Lumber. They have different grades and REALLY great…read moreprices. The lumber is rough cut so a 2 x 4 is 2" x 4", not shaved down.They also have a lot of interesting slabs. The staff is super helpful and very patient with novice shoppers like me. I couldn't be more pleased with this business - a real gem in Southern Oregon!
