I felt that my concerns were addressed and questions were answered. My biggest issue was the amount of time that this appointment took. I wasn't taken back to a room until about half an hour after my appointment. It was another long wait for a medical assistant to come back and review my medical history and vitals. Then they took me for X-rays and another wait for the doctor. After the doctor came in, I waited for another staff member to come with a brace to fit it and instruct me on wear and use. By the time that I left my 9 AM appointment, it was noon. Thankfully, my work schedule can be somewhat flexible, but I still found myself stressing about the time because we started the whole process late even after I showed up early to make sure all paperwork was done.

The Critical Thinking Award goes to the practice manager who offered me the following options when…read moretheir user interface did not allow me to complete a new patient intake form prior to my appointment (even though I am not in fact a new patient): (1) spend over an hour driving to and from their office to physically pick up the form or (2) cancel my appointment, wait for them to mail me the form, and then rebook the appointment, in either case so that I could complete the form and BRING IT WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT. When I asked why I couldn't just arrive sufficiently early to complete it there (pointing out that neither of the above scenarios would result in the office receiving the form or any information on it until my appointment), they actually said, and I kid you not, "This is our policy - we cannot allow patients to complete the form in the waiting room." I mean, God forbid. So naturally I offered to arrive sufficiently early and complete the form in my car. Problem solved, right? Still a hard no. I am not one to complain but at this point I lost my patience. And they lost theirs.

I was lucky enough to come across Family Foot Center, and they fit me in as soon as I could visit. They did physical therapy and diagnosed me in the same visit! It was very affordable too. I spent less than half of what I spent on that original Urgent Care visit! Even better, the family culture they foster there. They don't have state of the art facilities or an X-Ray machine, but I felt comfortable and relieved when leaving their Bloomfield location after my first visit.

The team at North Hills Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy was absolutely superb. I went to…read morethem for two conditions, my one knee and my one elbow. They quickly and efficiently determined a plan to get me back to my normal self. They were able to individually work on both my knee and my elbow but in a timely manner within my allotted one hour sessions. Everyone that I worked with was very nice and professional. Each person knew what they were doing and gave me great advice as well as exercises for me to do on my own at home. My conditions were somewhat minor but still needed attention. I was able to get through PT in about a month's time. I couldn't have been happier with Steve + Team.
